And as a 'special' treat for this day, I present to ye a Thanksgiving 'poem' I wrote all the way back in 2007!
The Thanksgiving Poem

Early in the morning
the sun comes out
A new day! Thanksgiving Day!
Women get up and dress in a dress
Boys crawl out of bed and pull up pants
'Cause it's Thanksgiving Day
Women in the kitchen
getting Mr. Turkey dressed up
for his six hour trip to the oven
Boys in the den
sitting on the couch
watching rubber animals float down by Macy's
Because it's Thanksgiving Day
Now it's noon
Women now sweating through
Boys watching wooden soldiers martch
Ding-dong! In-laws here!
Already complaining "Where's the food?"
Mean Mr. Turkey not liking his trip at all
'Cause it's Thanksgiving Day
Almost night now
Women in the kitchen irritable
Boys in the living room begging for more
In-laws saying "Hurry it up, we can do better than that!"
Finally! Mr. Turkey's trip is done
Women bring him in saying "Order up!"
Boys saying "We want more!"
In-laws saying "About time"
All eating up
Women weary from all
Boys belching for more
In-laws saying
"You can't cook. The turkey's all dry"
Women wish to stab the in-laws with a big carving knife
Boys say "Pass the gravy"
Women saying "Off with their heads!"
Finally, the meal is done
Women in the kitchen cleaning dishes
Boys in the living room watching the game
In-laws out the door
Soon Mr. Turkey will put them all to sleep
for it is Thanksgiving Day.
