The ones where you keep meaning to do something REALLY important, like take your third expansion, or upgrade your units' attack/defense, and it's nagging at you for a long time... But something always shows up on the minimap or you scout something surprising, and it just keeps distracting you until the point where it's too late and your opponent just outdoes you?

Just had one of those games. And doesn't it always seem like you get the jitters when you play a game like that and your unit control isn't what you want it to be? AGH.

Join me in venting frustration, or share some disappointing game stories.

Sounds like just being under to much pressure.

Well kind of... League games do that to me on occasion. But really is probably just my normal absent-mindedness mixed with high-energy goings-on.

I usually play like that when I've lost for the fifth time in a row and feel like axing my opponent in the face. Rushes do that too. Specifically bunker rushes. Only instead of forgetting to expand or upgrade, I forget to make extractors, or overlords, or I just make a bunch of zerglings with the intent of making banelings, but I end up forgetting till my opponent's right at the door.

My last game like that was when I was playing against a turtling terran. It went fairly well for the first half of the game. But after my second push failed, I just kept wondering how I was going to crack his base. The guy had quit making barracks units and had massed an army of what seemed like 50 siege tanks and had a decent ball of vikings to protect them from mutas. So I was kind of freaking out about whether or not he would come out and destroy all my overlords (only anti-air I had was about 4 queens and a few mutas left over from harass annd I had dumped all my supply on ultras and lings.) When I think about it I probably should've just teched to broodlords instead and made a corruptor/muta/broodlord ball. Probably could've handled the vikings while taking care of the tanks, but no, I get tired of playing the waiting game and just toss in all of my units. He then subsequently sends all of his vikings in my main and I'm screwed.

Ugh. I feel just like Kenjiro in every game.

I main terrain. And I learned to VALUE every single unit from anywhere. I realize that, my harass speed has gotten much better. I had gotten a two starports with tech labs and massed a cloaked army of banshees and ghosts. Had Ghost academy's all over the map, about 20 Nukes at my disposal.

Should of wiped the floor with my opponent, right?

Wrong.

He had observers on my cloaked units, and, it was my negligence that led to that happening.Basically, made him think I was going all in on an expansion, while my banshee's took out his probes, and, My army back home went well; survived, battered, and bruised, but, well. My cloaked attack force? Destroyed before a single nuke was even launched.

At that point, I pushed, to find this guy played me like a instrument. He pretty much didn't send all his units in at once, but, rather micro'd well. I stuck with the match to see my end, and sent him a message that I was shocked at his strategy, and thanks for the match.

I think I'm the only person that does that XD.
