Raziel sat in his small, hand-made home. Everything there he'd either found or built himself, including the wooden walls that seporated the area into rooms and the roof thatched from the foliage of the island. Things had changed, notably for the better in truth, since the magical island had fallen from the sky into the ocean; he had adopted a daughter who proceeded to grow up beautifully and had her own daughter, he had reunited with all of his beloved siblings and became part of their lives as they began their own families, and most importantly he had met the most amazing female in his life.

Chuckling a little to himself, he thought fondly of the beautiful woman who had captured him faster than a net catches fish... how funny he thought of fish, since sea food was her favorite. A small smile played on his lips as he wondered what exactly Tora was up to.

User ImageThe feline-esque female giggled, her tail flicking back and forth as she played with a fish she had just caught. For a moment she ran over everything that had happened in the last while.. She'd gotten over some of her shyness, and been entirely jealous of two particular females she'd never have met without the aid of her lovely boyfriend.. And possibly more.. The thought made her blush..

Yet still, Tora was incredibly jealous of his daughter and her child. While they weren't directly related to him, he had raised them.. Well, his daughter at least. The female demon did smile t this however, she did like the girls. Like her own children really, but it didn't make her jealousy lessen any.

Quickly remembering she was supposed to be at home with the one man she had gotten close to, Tora took the fish between her teeth and started running on all fours towards the home they now shared.

Sighing, Raziel snapped himself back to reality, shaking his head, still grinning a little. That damnable woman... she had changed him for beyond the best and there was no question in that. Somehow, even in his worst of moods she shone as a light.

It had started off simply, he had let her stay in his home until she was to find a place for herself... now he couldn't imagine this placing being called 'home' without her. Reaching up into the cabnent, he pulled out a small box from the back and held it with care; tonight would be the night he'd ask her to be a perminant fixture in his life. Opening the box to look at the simple gold band with the engravings of flowering vines around it, he took a deep breath to calm his nerves. Hopefully Tora would be there soon.

Tora giggled, the fish was still flapping as she ran. No use for you fishy, you're snack! she thought, still running. It was only when the place she would likely always call home came into sight that she slowed down. For a moment at least. Razi had asked her to come home early, she was running out of time. Or was she?

The feline thought about it, only to shake her head, and the fish, running faster. Good thing the door was open, her stop wasn't as graceful as the run. Tora skidded to a halt just in front of the kitchen, almost having hit her head on the wall. She laughed, the still fresh fish falling from her mouth in a particularly strong flail. "No snack, you'll get dirty!"

Raziel typically would have jumped into attack mode at the sudden intrusion; however thanks to having lived with the female feline for so long he was used to her over-exuberant entrances. Turning to face her, he hid the box behind his back and raised an eyebrow.

"You know, we could just wash it if it had fallen to the floor." He stated matter-of-fact like, watching her with an amused expression.

Tora giggled, looking up at him. "But it's still flapping." The smile on her face was clear. Even through the fish she was picking back up. "I didn't hurt him.. But he's gonna make a yummy snack~" Tora pet the fish for a moment before walking to the cutting board. It had suffered enough, time to cook it.. But first be kind.

"... I can't do it.." She whined, blushing a little. She can catch them, eat them, but she could never bring herself to put the poor fish out of its misery..

"You've scared the poor thing I'm sure, though." Raziel commented, watching her walk into the kitchen, still finding himself amused. A chuckle escaped him when Tora admitted to being unable to kill it. Walking up behind her, he lovingly kissed her shoulder. "Why don't you go out and get cleaned up; I'll prepare your snack for you, alright?"

Mentally, he was grinning ear to ear; what a perfect opportunity! He would arrange the cooked fish AROUND the box on the plate!

Tora blushed, turning her head to look at the lovely demon she had fallen in love with. "He's big enough to share.." She always liked to catch dinner for the two of them.. Or even just snacks like this one.

Softly, she pressed her lips to his, "I'll be right back" Maybe it was a good chance to take one of those showers.. She had gotten kind of dirty again.. Smiling, Tora slipped her mask onto his head, skipping off towards the shower.

Raziel watched her leave, a rather silly grin on his face, as he felt his lips tingle from the kiss; goodness she had stolen his heart. Once Tora was out of sight, he placed the ring box on the counter and quickly got started preparing the fish.

It didn't take long for the humble abodes of his home to fill with the smell of freshly cooked fish, and he arranged the fillets around the edges of a plate, accompanied by bread slices. And there, in the center, was the ring box with it's mouth opened to show off the sparkling band.

Tora returned as quickly as she could, not really wanting to waste any time away from him. Something about the atmosphere around him.. It simply made her want to be there even more. Though she was already around him a lot. Living together really made her happy.. Far more comfortable.

She remembered when they first met. Giggling a bit at her reaction to the 'evil monster' she now lived with. He'd taken her in without much though, even when she wouldn't speak to him.. It had taken some fish and a lot of coaxing for her to admit her name.. And a lot more fish for anything else. Goodness he was too nice to her.

Back to the present, there was fish in the air. "Fiiiiiiish.. Razi, you make it smell nummy!" She purred, having fallen into the habit of using a nickname for him.

Raziel's wings fluttered a little at the nickname and he grinned a little; only Tora could make that nickname not sound childish. Picking up the plate, he walked out to join her in the hall, feeling his stomach tightening a bit as nerve set in.

He loved her, he reminded himself, and he was pretty sure that she loved him back. She would say yes, there was no reason for her to say no. Thinking back to when they were first together, his stomach plummeted; what if she only liked him because he was providing for her. After all, the first time, she didn't even speak to him. And then Raziel's breath caught; what if she really did say no?

Tora smiled, walking towards him and the fish. Upon looking at the plate.. What's the box for? She blinked, looking up at him, then to the piece of shiny jewelry inside the box and back up. Confusion flashed on her face. Why did he put a shiny on a plate? Was it meant to be eaten with the snack?

"Tora, you idiot he wants you to marry him!" The obnoxious little mellon chirped in her ear. "Don't you dare say no, you love him just as much as he loves you!" Personal opinion but Tora didn't really need it. Just an explanation of what the hell was going on really.

"A r-ring?"

Raziel felt his legs about to give out and quickly got on the floor on one knee; no wonder guys did that when they proposed, with how nervous he was standing wasn't an option. "Tora, ever since you came into my life, I have been unable to imagine this place as a home without you. I-I guess what I'm trying to say is... will you become a perminant person in my life? Will you be interested in marrying me?"

Oh dear god this was it...

Fish.. Ring.. Fish.. Ring.. She was having a hard time deciding because she so dearly wanted both. Damn pull to fish. Tora blushed, smiling as she pulled the mask off his head and slipped it over her face. Something she always did when she was embarrassed. It made things.. easier.. for her.

The female was silent, as quiet as they day they had met, as she took the box from his presentation. Ring. Tora slipped it onto her finger before taking the plate and setting it aside. Still just as quietly, she wrapped his arms around her waist, or maybe she was just making her hands follow the path his were already on

Raziel felt his heart break as the mask went over Tora's face; she hadn't worn it around him for the longest time now... maybe she didn't love him after all. As the silence wore on, Raziel's face fell and he looked down, feeling his heart breaking even more. She didn't-

Perking up a little as she took the ring from the plate, he looked up at her with wide eyes. She did! As the plate was set aside and his arms encircled her waist, he pulled her close and placed his forehead on her mask, laughing a little. "Does this mean that you will...?"
