So, college students, have you noticed a change in your personal practice habits? Are you practicing more? Less? How often and for how long do you practice? Are you in a performance group, or are you just taking lessons? Does this impact practice time? Is this too many questions? xd
I just came home on Saturday for Thanksgiving, and I realize how nice it is to have a piano that I can play virtually anytime I want, compared to at school where the music building is literally across campus. I have to set time aside, usually in the afternoon between my last class and dinner, to practice. And because the music building is so far away I generally have to practice for an hour or two in one long stretch. It's much different than when I'm at home, where I can take a break every now and then and do something else. I sometimes feel such a long practice is not the most efficient or effective way to do it.

Mine have dramatically, I'm practicing a whoooole lot more, you have to. How often and stuff depends on the person. I have friends who will ONLY practice in 45 minute increments and multiple times a day. I'm the type who will practice in one sitting with a bunch of small breaks. On average 2-3 hours a day during school. Weekends depends, most professors here demand at least 4 hours a day.
I take hour lessons with my horn professor once a week and perform in a few ensembles. I love it smile
