Since my brother wants to constantly delete the folder with my novels in it, I've grown tired of rewriting the process of my old novel. Here is the plot for my new novel series.
A seventeen-year-old girl named Alison Duwat is taken by the government and placed in a school. A school for the children of fallen angels called Eden Academy. Even at this school, she stuck out. Black hair, black eyes, snow white skin, and black clothes. However, she knew she needed to stay. Not only to protect her family--whether they were her true parents or not, but to find out who she is. Who was her father, and why did her heritage seem to be well-known?
As she endures the time at Eden Academy, she learns that her father is the most famous--most feared--of all the fallen angels. It's up to her to choose her identity. Will she stay as Alison Duwat, or will she take up the name her father gave her?
That's about the sum of it. I'll update it, but if you have any suggestions--or advise--tell me. *wink wink* But, please....Don't severely critisize my work. I'm still an amatuer, and I know I need improving.

I think its a fun idea and angels (fallen or not) have always intrigued me. So if you published that as a professional writer, I might very possibly pick it up and read it. Also, I think Alison is a good name. Now, there are two parts of your story that are very commonly used 1) Main character is an outcast (to a degree) 2) Main character has a parents who is some sort of legend. I've read and watched countless books and movies that use these. Maybe thats a sign that they're good. I prefer a little more originality, but its fine. Besides, I don't know the details in your head- you could always bend and twist the ideas to be a little more unexpected.
As an amature writer, I think the best thing is just that you enjoy what you're writing- because then you'll actually write it. And you'll improve along the way.
I would duct-tape my brother like a mummy if he ever deleted my writing. Why does your brother get the final say? Anyway, I save all of my work on the internet, cause its password protected, harder to find, and I can access it from any computer with internet.

True, true. But, my brother always figures out my password for my laptop. I'm going to end up hitting him over the head with a frying pan one of these days.
Yes, writing will improve my skills, but most people often end up critsizing me to the point that I'm either going to stop writing altogether, or I'm going to hunt someone down and kill them. It's not just Gaia--my family and friends do it, too.
I do plan to change Lucifer's legend, but some things will stay the same. Anyway, thanks for the support. Or, advise. Whichever it was meant to be. smile Once I get all the information in order, I'll begin writing. biggrin

Eek, sorry you're criticized so badly. I mean, there's constructive critisizm, and then there's just bullying. And when people are rude and say 'I'm just preparing you for the publishing world', they're pathetic and can be smacked upside the head. My best advice for that, I guess, is just to not share your work for a while, although it seems like that is becoming pretty obvious. I don't share my work- although thats just because I don't want anyone stealing my ideas. Anyway, you do have my support. And I don't really like to read other's people's work, but I'll read excerpts every now and then if you're just itching to share them. Send them to me in a PM. And I'll be nice, I promise.
