My grandfather passed away early Monday morning (11-22-2010) as a result of super aggressive lung cancer.

I hope you are okay, cause you are one awesome person. :C Like I said, half my family died of cancer. The day my grandmother died of lung cancer, my mother smoked a whole pack of smokes. <3 <3 <3

It is the first Thanksgiving without him. It is really weird for me because my grandparents lived down the street, and now it is just my grandmother. They would always come to our house for all the holidays, so this is really hard on my mom. I opted to go to a friends for Thanksgiving because I don't want to be around all the sadness. If I were home, all I would want to do is escape by sleeping all day and that is not a healthy way to deal with my grief.

It's always a hard time when you loose someone. I went through that this past summer as well, so I know the feeling. You just have to take things one day at a time and try to spend as much time as possible doing things that make happy in the company of people who care about you. That definitely helps. heart
