Lizzy holding her hand didn't really bother her to much. The demoness seemed like she was just friendly and Tahki liked that. Hopefully Lizzy lived up to the vibe she was giving off and really was friendly. Tahki had a hard time believing that such a warm feeling demon could possibly be anything but friendly.
Now they stood at the Library entrance. It seemed that there weren't to many ghouls or boils today. That was good that gave Tahki and Lizzy all the room they needed and all the privacy they needed. Still the gryphon ghoul had a creeping paranoia that had been building up ever since nurse Cricket had told them about the contents of the pumpkins.
What if Lizzy and Tahki's pumpkin burst opened into a horrible screaming thing in the middle of the library? What if the two of them got banned from the wonderful sanctuary that was the library? That was reason enough to be all that more careful around the pumpkin.
The gryphon took a breath and started to scan for empty tables. There were plenty to choose from but one in the back looked especially appealing.
"Lets sit over there," Tahki pointed to the table she had in mind. It had a private aura about it that attracted the gryphons attention.

Once they were at the library, Lizzy let Tahki's hand go, smiling rather happily as they entered the place. The library was a wonderful place - not only did it have a huge collection of her favorite genre of novels, but it provided her with a great place to study whenever the rooms around hers got too noisy for her liking. Now, it had one more function - providing them with a place where they could meet and raise their little pumpkin-baby! Well, as long as it doesn't... Hatch and scream while they are still in the library!
"Alright!" Lizzy nodded, her eyes shifting to where Tahki was pointing to. It looked like a nice place to talk about their assignment! Moving to the table, she placed the pumpkin on the top before sitting down on a chair. Looking up at her partner, she tilted her head, "So... What's next?"

Tahki took a chair and made her self comfortable. Then Lizzy asked the question that was on her mind. Tahki blinked. What was next indeed?
"I think we probably should find some clothing... you know... in case it pops out and is naked," Tahki shuttered at a little her and Lizzy running around with no clothing. Was this thing going to resemble the both of them? Tahki hoped not mostly for the weirdness factor. Though she was sure Lizzy and her would make great looking kids.
Wait, why was she thinking that right now?
"We also should probably start researching what it is they eat when it does pop out so its not a surprise later on," Tahki gave the pumpkin a bit of a terrified glance before her gaze returned to Lizzy. Truly , the gryphon felt like that pumpkin could burst at any given moment. Lizzy and Tahki were baby sitting a ticking time bomb.

"But... But we don't know what he... She... It looks like," Lizzy frowned slightly; the thought that their baby would pop out stark naked was rather frightening, to say the least! However, where clothing was concerned, she regarded herself as a sort of pro! If all else fails, she could always ask her mother, right?
"Oh yes, we should... Although Nurse Cricket didn't tell us anything about its eating habits..." Lizzy nodded, her tone serious; it would be bad if they had to care for a naked, wailing and hungry baby. She shuddered at the thought; suddenly, parenting don't sound that exciting anymore! Still, she couldn't help but feel slightly attached to the pumpkin currently seated on the table.
"Oh! Maybe we should think of a name too!" She smiled, trying to make baby-raising sound more fun again. She then patted it gently, "A boy name, a girl name and a... Unisex name?"

Lizzy was absolutely correct on every point she made. Tahki was thankful she had a partner to help her logic out the details. They would need to childs measurements before they could make clothing and they had no idea what the pumpkin was impregnated with so they had no idea what it would eat.
"Hmm.." Tahki tapped a pen to the table. " A name you say... Gender neutral probably would be the best route." The gryphon goul gave a nod in agreement. "It does pose a problem that we won't know the sizes or what its going to eat til it hatches. Might be a safe bet if we keep it wrapped up in a blanket so that when it does pop at least there's that."
But what about the food issue? Tahki was sure it would want to eat when it hatched.
"Im not sure about what we can do for food though," She gave a nervous grin and laid the pen on the table.

"Do you have any ideas for a name?" The Demon tilted her head, musing out loud as she twirled a lock of hair around a finger, "I'm not very... Creative with names." She forced a chuckle, blushing a little; it was true! After all, she named her Puggle 'Pugs'!
"Although I'll love to make clothes for it when it hatches!" Lizzy grinned, brimming with excitement at the thought that she was actually going to make clothes for a child. Well, sort of her child... She then nodded at the blanket suggestion, knowing how important it was for infants to feel warm and comfy, more so if it does pop out stark naked!
"How about we start off with what you normally eat? I mean, I eat all sorts of bugs but I know that's not to everyone's tastes!" She suggested with a nod, "If it ends up being something like the both of us, we could prepare food from 'both sides' and see which it prefers? We could also get some 'general' food - things like edible pumpkin seeds, and such?"

Tahki looked thoughtful for a moment. Lizzy wanted her to come up with the name? The gryphon felt honored and a little scared at the same time. What sort of name would she give the little scarling...errr what ever popped out of the pumpkin.
"What about Sprout?" It wasn't really a conventional name but it made sense for a pumpkin. "Well.. maybe just until the thing pops out?" She wasn't so good at naming things either apparently. The gryphon scratched her head nervously.
"Oh.. I eat lots of things. Mostly raw meat related things. I like seafood the best though. I'm mostly a carnivore." She grinned again."Edible pumpkin seeds? I think thats a good place to start."
The gryphon eyed the pumpkin. Would it mind eating pumpkin seeds? Tahki liked eating pumpkin seeds, long as they weren't metallic.

"I like Sprout!" Lizzy giggled, looking at the little pumpkin on the table as she clapped her hands together, fingers interlocking, before remembering that they were in the library and were supposed to be quiet. Turning a pale shade of pink, she then nodded, patting the pumpkin gently, "Your mommy... Well, one of your mommies, gave you a name! You're our little Sprout!"
Giving the baby a name made things more exciting for some reason! She was starting to feel like a real parent! Well, minus the screaming, attention-demanding baby.
"Oh, that's quite a different diet from mine!" She nodded, stroking her chin thoughtfully, "So... You stock up on fish and I'll stock up on bugs? We'll keep them till Sprout hatches before seeing which one it likes better. We'll keep some edible pumpkin seeds as stand by, in case it prefers 'neutral' food." She giggled.
Now that most things had been sorted out, the Demon decided to ask the next question on her mind, "Shall we make a schedule so we can take turns bringing the baby back to our Dorms?" Its a pity they don't live under the same roof... It would no doubt make things easier!

A schedule sounded like a good idea to the gryphon. Having a schedule made sense too since the two lived in two different dorms.
"Why don't we switch off every other day? " Tahki gave Lizzy a smile. That sounded like a great idea that way the two could equally look after the little Sprout. "I mean, we can help the other through out the day and spend time together but ultimately the pumpkin goes home with parent a or b so switching off every other day could be beneficial."
Specially if the little pumpkin burst into a screaming needy thing. Tahki glanced nervously at sprout. It seriously felt like the pumpkin could burst at any given moment.
"I have to admit Im a little nervous.."

"That sounds perfect!" Lizzy nodded with a giggled before pausing, her face turning rather pink as she added, her voice softer than usual, "Do... Do you mind if I take it back today though? I've grown rather attached to little Sprout... Not that you aren't! I mean... Um..."
She shifted in her seat, not quite sure what to say. At Tahki's comment, she looked up at the ghoul with an encouraging smile, "We'll be fine! We have each other, after all!" She gave a nod before her eyes widened, as if recalling something, "Oh! Do you have a Skelephone? We could keep in contact with each other by exchanging numbers! I try to check mine often for calls and messages..."
Lizzy then bit her lower lip, barely able to stop herself from adding how she would probably panic if something happened to Sprout and due to some unfortunate circumstances, she is unable to reach Tahki on her Skelephone... She would not allow anything bad to happen to their little pumpkin-baby!

Tahki gave a warm smile. The two ghouls did have each other and Lizzy was proving to be a pleasure to work with. Tahki didn't feel the need to hide behind her headphones at all and even was contributing to the conversation that the two were having.
"I don't mind if you want to take Sprout home at all. I'll gather supplies and what not in the mean time." Tahki gave a nervous glance at the pumpkin again. Hopefully the gryphon wouldn't screw this up like she had for her team in battle of the bands. The fact that Tahki had managed to knock out both teams and lose her team a spot in the semi finales still haunted her.
"Oh !" The question was a sensible one but it some how caught the gryphon off guard. "I-I do!" She pulled out her skelephone from her jacket pocket. The model was obviously a newer model and obviously had never been used before with the plastic stickers still over the screen. Tahki had gotten it from her parents as a gift before she'd moved on campus to keep in contact. The gryphon had neglected to even keep the thing charged half the time though. Heck, Tahki wasn't sure how to turn the thing on.
"Um...." She blushed, "Do you know how to operate this thing?" She extended the skelephone over to Lizzy. Tahkis cheeks were flushed red.

"Oh, thank you!" Lizzy grinned as she relaxed and nodded, glad that Tahki was fine with leaving Sprout with her for the day. She was already daydreaming about making matching outfits for their little "family" - for that reason, a part of her kind of wished Sprout is a ghoul... Then they can wear watching skirts and everything! Her mother had always told her that daughters are better, and that she was glad her only child wasn't a boil!
"Yes, yes I do," She took the Skelephone with a brief nod before pushing the upper part of her body on the table to be closer to her partner. She turned the Skelephone towards her so that she could see the screen. Then, she pushed a small button located at the top, causing the screen to flicker before lighting up, "So, I'll input my number here... And then save it as 'Lizzy'. If you need to call me, just click this button to access your number list, look for my name and then click this other button!"
After she clicked the 'call' button, the words 'Calling Lizzy...' appeared on the screen. A second later, the Demon's Skelephone started to vibrate in her pocket; it was a popular model from a year ago. Having grown rather fond of it, she never found a reason to change it. Taking it out, she flipped it open before showing Tahki the screen, 'Unknown call...' flashing on it.
"See, you just called me! I'll just cancel the call... Like so, and then retrieve your number from the 'incoming calls' list here," She smiled, hoping the Gryphon caught all of that; their Skelephones might be different, but the controls were similar. She then added, "There, I've save you as 'Tahki' in my phone! All done! You can text me if you like, as well."

Tahki stared at the skelephone that now had her first number in it. Her eyes were round like saucers and a little watery from joy. Her first number.
"T-thank you for your help! I'll be sure to answer if you need any help." The gryphon turned to Sprout. "I guess I'll see you two tomorrow then. Probably a good idea to start gathering some supplies before its my turn." She gave Sprout a nervous pat. Obviously Tahki was still a little nervous with the Sprout.
"Well.. Lizzy." Tahki paused for a moment before shrinking back into her shoulders shyly, "T-thank you so much. Maybe we can meet up and have family time later." She tucked her phone in her pocket.

"You're welcome!" She nodded happily, glad that she was of help. Giggling softly at the interaction between Sprout and Tahki, she nodded again before standing up, picking up the pumpkin and leaning towards the Gryphon. Putting her mouth near it, she then whispered, "Mummy Tahki is leaving now, but we'll see her again very soon!"
Lizzy was really getting into her role.
At the words 'family time', Lizzy looked up with gooey eyes, her grip on the pumpkin tightened as she smiled; if they weren't in the library, she might have jumped and cheered in joy. And if she wasn't holding Sprout, she might just give Tahki a tight hug out of joy. It was like they were playing family, but not really... They really do have a child to take care of.
"Yes, yes we should," Lizzy replied without hesitation, "Text me when you have a place in mind... I'll be there with Sprout!" There was a lot on her mind currently, but in her head, she was already designing adorable outfits for whatever was going to pop out of the pumpkin!

Tahki gave Lizzy a warm grin.
"Alright! I'll hold you to it then and Sprout. I'll give you a call now that I now how to use this thing," She held the skelephone upside down. For some one who was well versed in hand held video games it was a little pathetic. An electronic tool for socializing was something the gryphon had opted to ignore though.
Tahki did a pivot and headed toward the library exit. Now it was time to get ready for her new dorm guest. The gryphon was pretty nervous about how her time with sprout would go.
