 Acacia was lonely. It was the only way to say it. She had been thinking of Banzai alot, in a way that she had had to realize was more than just a friend. But even in her naivety, she knew nothing would come of it. Banzai was not that kind. It was time to move on, to be an adult about it. It was useless to speak her feelings. She couldn't be lonely forever. As the leaves fell quicker and quicker, she found herself wandering again. When next she came out of her reverie, she found herself not far away from someone else. She'd wandered into someone else's area or home, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to intrude."

 Where had they wondered off to? They couldn't have wandered far off, right? Of course they could! When he was a foal Zaitus would wander far and wide, wherever his small legs would take him. It wasn't like he family took much mind to it anyway, which just pushed him to stay away from them for days, if he felt like it. "Well damn it..." he stated to himself as he gave a sigh and gave up on looking for his 'sons'. It didn't take long for his attention to go elsewhere though. Slowly, he turned his head and stared at the mare before him. "Is there something I can help you with?"

Acacia blushed a bit, she always reacted that way to embarrassing situations. She felt intrusive on his home. "I was just..." Well, what she doing? Did she really know? She was just thinking, fantasizing what would happen if she opened her heart to Banzai...But that was stupid. She couldn't do that, not ever. She'd make a fool of herself.
But she was here, here with someone. Someone she could talk to. Someone she could be, well...not lonely with. She shook all those thoughts out of her head, she was here and she couldn't focus on stuff that would drive away the only contact she'd had today.
"I'm fine. Just, I got lost in my thoughts...and well." She looked around about her, "I think I'm really lost now."

It seemed like everything and everyone was getting lost today, so why wasn't it such a surprise when those words escaped the mare's mouth? He couldn't only hope this meeting wouldn't end on a bad note, but if it did that wouldn't be much of a surprise either, because everything seemed to be running downhill for the stallion.
With his boyfriend 'knocking' a mare up, which of course resulted in 3 kids whom he basically avoided and had little interaction with due to his own negative feelings about the whole thing. Which meant he had drifted away from said boyfriend, having little interaction with him as well. It would be no shock if that had a negative impact on their relationship.
Shaking his head, Zaitus eyed the calico mare. "Lost how, physically, mentally, emotionally? There are many ways to get lost in your life, you know? If you're looking for help, I doubt that is much I can do for you."

"Can I just chose all of the above?" She smiled a bit painfully, the thoughts were overwhelming right now...confusing. A myriad of ideas, thoughts, fantasies, and painful happenings. It was too much, trying to push it back she refocused.
"I wandered away from home, didn't realize which way I was headed. At the time I didn't care," she shrugged slightly. "What brings you here? I'm Acacia," she added as a side note. He looked a bit lost to her to, "Are you...lost too?"

With a shake of his head, Zaitus gave a light snort and turned his gaze elsewhere. He was lost in many ways, but he knew eventually he would find his way back. Unknown paths weren't anything new to him since he knew them in foalhood, especially since he spent most of his time away from his family and out in the world.
"I don't consider myself lost. I like to think of times like this as more of a time to explore since you never know what you will find along the paths you would never choose to walk down on your own."
Turning his gaze back, he gave a small smirk and moved over to get a closer look at the mare.
"Tell me, why would a cat risk having a chat with a snake anyway, even if she is lost?"

Acacia laughed and blushed again, "Good point. But you know what they say about curiosity....It gets the better of me, and you looked interesting."
The light-hearted banter made her feel better than all this wandering. An actual someone to talk to, it was very nice. But as he approached her, she had the first instinct to step away.
With a sharp intake of breath, she stood her ground. She wouldn't be afraid of being this close to someone. What would happen anyway? It's not like anything was going to happen, she didn't have to be afraid of talking to an absolute stranger.
"Besides, I've got some pretty good claws myself," she smiled.

"Oh really now? And what exactly would those 'claws' be, hm?" the stallion took his time as he moved to circle the calico mare like a snake surveying its prey from a shadowed distance. It wasn't everyday that he got the opportunity to meet someone new, to find an escape from the trails of life and stress. He loved his family, he really did, but sometimes a little escape was nice, especially when his source of detest came around.
"Hopefully not your words. It would be a sad sad day if I had to go home hurt worse than when I had left. I don't really think the others would appreciate it all that much. Though, I suppose that wouldn't matter. You may have your claws and bite, but I have a bite of my own, along with my poisons."
After circling around a few time he decided to stop by her side, a cocky little grin planted on his face. "Is kitty sure she really wants to spend the day with a snake like myself?"

"I only bite if threatened." She felt him closing in on her, and she felt her pulse racing. It was an exhilarating type of feeling, She was finally feeling something other than pain and anguish about Banzai. For now, she could push him from her mind. She was talking, she was okay right now.
"I won't bite, if you don't," she smiled back at him. "I don't know how I'd rather spend the day. It sounds like...fun." She nudged him gently, not entirely sure why she did it. She felt herself blush slightly afterward.

He wasn't cheating, right? This feeling of finally having some sort of escape, some sort of comfort away from all his problems wasn't a form of cheating, right? Yeah, technically his words could be the words of a flirt at play, but it wasn't as if he was falling for the mare. It wasn't as if he was trying to lure her in or anything, right? He still loved Ellial, his still cared for his lovemate's kids, but something always felt missing, something always pulled him down whenever he was around them, like something he once had was now lost to him, gone, it ran off and ditched him.
Smirking at the nudge, he gently shook his head and took the chance to look around at his surroundings.
"I guess we'll just see how long you can keep the snake's fangs at bay then. We are, after all, supposed to be devilish creature, creatures of sin and bad omen. But, if you want to have fun, then I shall give you fun. How about a little game of Truth or Dare to get to know each other a little better?"

Acacia felt herself laughing, it felt light and free. It wasn't a feeling she'd had very often since the fire. "Sure. I don't think I've played before." She supposed it was her turn to ask first, but she wasn't sure what kind of truth she'd ask him or what she'd dare him to do. But the idea was exciting, "We'll see how long it takes for you to influence me then. Truth or dare?"
It was a little harder now to push Banzai from her mind, but as Zaitus had nudged her she felt herself relaxing again. She had told him, she had to figure out what to do. What if...what if she went back and he'd went back to her anyways? She was the mother of his children after all, and that was something.
Taking a deep breathe, she smiled again waiting for him to answer.
