Hydrus are a super intelligent race that have unknown origins and are rarely seen. They don't actually occupy any planets, they drift through space in massive organic vessels that glow and pulse with strange lights. Because of their bioluminescence, hydrus are often called "Jellyfish" by the Romans. Hydrus are most often seen near galactic phenomena, such as nebulae, gas giants and even black holes. Hydrus will ignore everyone else, but if you shoot at one, the consequences of doing so will often be fatal.
