Boys and girls, we're different. Yes, there are definite similarities, but you cannot deny the evidence of the large differences that exist between males and females (generally) physiologically, mentally, emotionally.
I bring this up to call attention to something I've noticed. The market for literary porn is disproportionately female. Girls like words.
I've asked female friends about this; they agree. Words are definately good, oftimes much better than pictures.
I've asked my male friends about this too. They like pictures. "We're very visual learners" they are fond of saying.
This amazed me. How is it that the word "shivered" can be just as yummy to females as visual illustrations of soft curves are for males?
I was wondering if your gender identity and [removed](what gender you feel that your mind/soul is and how you act genderwise) affected your taste in porn/erotica. Do you think that sexual orientation has anything to do with it? Do you find that you fit my generalization? Why or why not?
NOTE: Let's please, please keep this clean. All I intend here is an intellectual discussion. No graphic descriptions please. I'm an ED junkie. Post away, in the name of science!

Personally I'm more mentally male (I'm a female). Littereally. For me it can be words and pictures, maybe both together would be good for me. lol
All I know is that most of my friends are both as well, with anything. Though, when my les freidn reads it: she cringes XD.

hmmm i don't know i like both just as much cause as they say a picture is worth a thousand words so as long as the picture is good im happy and a good story is really great ^^.
Oh i am male don't know what i am right now razz at least straight probably bi and got split personalities.

Huay hmmm i don't know i like both just as much cause as they say a picture is worth a thousand words so as long as the picture is good im happy and a good story is really great ^^. Oh i am male don't know what i am right now razz at least straight probably bi and got split personalities. Hmm, that's interesting. Do you know if any of your personalities are female?

I have to say, in ''the beginning'' looking at pictures and watching video's did work on me, but not anymore. It's just gotten old, I guess.
However, a very good description always works. And it has always worked better than visual

Your poll was very hard, I was sitting here for about five minutes (over dramatizes the time) trying to decide which option to pic for the guys ^_^. Id honestly and truthfully have to say that im a mood man wink . Majority id say that I do like the visual candy whee , however a good story will really get my juices flowing xd . Again it just truly depends on my mood.
Awhile back I was reading stories on nifty that were really tasty, but then I got wrapped up in life, visual candy and just plain stuff that my literacy bug dies a quick and painless death. I might go back, but it just truly depends sweatdrop . Sorry that im not giving you a straight answer lol (laughing at bad joke of mine), but I just don't think I could give you a direct one sweatdrop .

TaroPsyche ...Awhile back I was reading stories on nifty that were really tasty... Nifty rocks. heart Personally, I like the written word more. <<< ish male. I like to be able to picture the scenes and situations in my own ways. It allows me the opportunity to be able to incorporate my own fantasies within the context of the story. It helps that I'm easily impressed by good writing. I love to read. heart heart

I may be an oddball among males but god a good story is better then any pics or vids in the world just makes you feel attachted to the story not just a veiwer of it

I'm female..Sometimes I like the visual but not as much as I like the ..literary better..keeps my mind working with the ' images' I'm forming in my mind...and get me..well..let's juss say..excited.
