Ranzatsu
Cursed Parasitic Host
Kekkei Genkai DescriptionThe Ranzatsu exist much like the Aburam of Konohagakure and the Kamizuru of former Iwagakure in that their Kekkei Genkai exists within them. In truth, the live in symbiosis with them. The Kekkei Genkai of the Ranzatsu is one of uniqueness for it is considered quite the evolution of relationships when one considers the three basic types of relationships organisms can have with one another (parasitism, commensalism, and mutualism). When the Ranzatsu are born, they undergo a procedure that is quite commonplace in the clan. This procedure is a medical operation which implants a parasite within the body, usually centered around the heart. The introduction of this parasite is highly poisonous and not all who have this procedure live. The mortality rate of newborns exists somewhere within the 80th percentile. However, for those who survive, the relationship between the two become not of parasitism, but of mutualism. From then on, the parasite and clan member live in symbiosis.
Kekkei Genkai TraitsThe parasite, hereafter known as Vorse, will become an intricate part of the clan member's being. It will become as important as any vital organ. After surviving the procedure, the Vorse will extend fine tendrils that coil around the internal organs, link to the nerves, attach to cells, implant in bone, tapping into the chakra circulatory system, and burrow under flesh, essentially integrating every facet of themselves with the clan member. This introduction of Vorse cells causes a change in the human anatomy, but not such a rapid one. Vents will form on the body: One on each palm and two below both shoulder blades. It is possible for other vents to grow, but it is unlikely. These vents allow the Vorse to interact with the outside world in a number of different ways.
Physiological ChangesBesides the anatomical changes like the vents, the clan members undergo other changes as well. After the introduction of the Vorse, the clan members will lose their natural hair color and it will turn a snowy white, although some genetic variations have shown to be platinum blond or some shades of gray. They will also lose their natural eye color, as their eyes will change to a yellow or amber color. And finally, their natural skin color will change to a shade of brown or tan. Due to Vorse inhabiting their body, which requires an immense amount of energy to fuel (along with their own bodies), all clan members are naturally thin. Muscle can be built and maintained, but very little fat exists on the human body. Women of the clan become more slender than most, adding to their speed and agility. Men of the clan put on more muscle, adding to their defensive abilities and strength. And finally, the Vorse cells interact with the human hormones, increasing virility in hopes of having their host mate and pass on the receptive genes that enabled them to survive the procedure. This means that both genders are incredibly well-endowed and have a high chance of producing offspring through one act of intercourse.
The VorseIt's not entirely clear what the Vorse look like. Their main body is almost never seen. And any attempt to study them through autopsy is useless because as the Vorse perishes, programmed cell-death occurs, where all cells emit a volatile acid which dissolve the Vorse completely. The only parts of the Vorse that have been seen multiple times are the tendrils which escape through the vents on the body. They are reported as being segmented and flat with a silver flesh-like or armor-like substance coating them. Each segment is jointed with an orange-red sphere located in the middle of each joining segment on either side of the tendril. Finally, the tendrils seem to be equipped with a one-foot hypodermic needle appendage. Since the Vorse have tapped into the clan member's nervous system and chakra circulatory system, the Vorse is able to use muscle memory and chakra. The link between the Vorse and the clan member is absolute, allowing them to work together. However, unlike the Aburame or Kamizuru, the Vorse can also act independently of its host, usually to benefit the host in life-threatening situations, similar to Shikaku's protective sand when he inhabited Gaara. The Vorse, however strong they seem, are weakened by the cold. Frigid temperatures are deadly to them. They also cannot exist outside of their host for very long as they've become accustomed to the conditions inside the human body. Since they are such an intricate part of the clan member, if they die, the clan member dies; likewise, if the clan member dies, the Vorse dies.

JutsuUnlike many jutsu in the shinobi world, the Ranzatsu require no hand signs in order to perform their jutsu. Thanks to their synaptic symbiosis with the Vorse, their thoughts become the impetus for the jutsu. Succinctly, they have to simply think it and it will happen. Since the Vorse are tapped into the clan member's chakra circulatory system, they use that chakra.
-->Yoroi Bibu Kei[D-ranked] The Vorse will take some of the chakra and feed their tendrils through the vents on the body. They can be used like whips or impaling weapons. They are coated in the silver flesh-armor of the Vorse and are hard to break.
-->Naiteki Yoroi Houmen[D-ranked] The Vorse will take some of the chakra and feed their cells through the skin of the clan member, producing a thin sheet of the flesh-armor over the skin, similar to the golden sticky armor of Kidoumaru. As the clan member grows stronger, the armor does as well and becomes harder to break.
-->Chakra Disturbance[C-ranked] Since the Vorse inhabit the clan member, it is the same as having another shinobi with them in regards to disturbing chakra. Since the Vorse can think independently, the Vorse can disturb the chakra of its host to help break them of any Genjutsu they might fall under the sway of.
-->Menusazun[A-ranked] Taking their bond to the extreme, clan members can produce a vast quantity of Vorse cells that travel to the skin and erupt as flesh-armor all over the body. However, it does not simply stop there. The clan members can grow appendages like wings, tails, and tails. These appendages are coated in the same flesh-armor. The clan member gains a boost of strength, speed, agility, and defensive ability. They can also make the flesh-armor malleable, which can soften and produce flesh-like weapons (such as wrist-blades or hand-axes). They then harden after forming.
