When i sleep i dream. When i dream i cry. Why do i cry? My dreams scare me. They show me how people died and ask me to help them. How can a 14 year old girl help them? Mom and dad used to rock me to sleep after i woke up from one of the dreams. They cant anymore since they are six feet underground they died after all. I live with my aunt Mill now. I do not tell her about the dreams. Auntie Mill never asks me about the dreams she just ignores me. From time to time i hear her call me from my room. "Suzi......" is how it starts then she gives me an order to cook or clean. I do not enjoy living in this big old mansion with the old broken rooms and broken windows. i am scared here. I also look like a ghost with pale blonde hair pale skin and washed out blue eyes. Then again sometimes i feel like a ghost girl.
I used to like it here when i was much younger. The rooms used to be doorways to another world. Most little kids believe that dont they. I was happy when mom and dad were still here, my skin used to have a bit of color and my eyes used to be a deeper blue. Mill said i cried away all that color at the funeral. Cousin Alex says so too. Alex and i are the same age that is why my family thought i should come to this house in the middle of a montana forest. I miss my life in california, it was a big switch going from heat to snow. i am afraid of never being happy again. of only having nightmares. then again they are sweet sweet nightmares. i am going to sleep now and i hope i will not have another nightmare. whoever may hear me scream will not check on me. but goodnight and i will see you all in the morning i hope i will. for now let me sleep, let me dream, let the nightmare consume me. a little ghost girl named Suzi. please just let me fall asleep and have a nightmare. maybe tonight i can help them sleep and help them dream. goodnight to all who may listen.
