After years of the Halo movie being canceled over and over again, I gave up hope. But, according to the development director of the Halo franchise, "There will be a Halo movie." Could it really be true? http://kotaku.com/5696369/microsoft-there-will-be-a-halo-movieIf this is true, they found a director, and hopefully all money issues are agreed upon...it could be true...but only time will tell.

Reach didn't go according to the book (i know two totally different stories but some things are left not making sense). oh yeah and apparently they re-released the Fall of Reach book with like 27 extra pages to go along with the game...that's just messed up. well hopefully the movie will be 100% right the 1st time.

Your screwing up Halo!"

I personally don't think they should make a movie about Halo. I mean, movies made from books were pretty much full of crap as it is...imagine a movie made from a game. Of course, there are some movies made from books that were good, but I can't name any of the top of my head. I think a good many of them were books that were written in the 19th to 20th century or something.

doom was a good videogame movie, and from what i heard the first person they were going to use for master chief on the movie before they canceled it was dwayne "the rock" johnson, I think they could do a pretty good bioshock movie but halo would be a bit hard considering having all the cg, think about everything in game and then how you would do cg, puppets, miniatures, and real people and for sergeant johnson i say they should use forrest whittaker or the guy from con air.

i don't think bungie or microsoft would allow the directors to screw up their one chance at a halo movie. also dev mentioned the cg would be hard. well considering bungie put this together three years back as a precursor to halo 3...i think they could pull it off. watch full screen for increased EPIC PROPORTIONS http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUcreY0X33k

I saw the video and I think they have what it takes to make a movie. But to be honest they can work on the graphic of the warthog and brutes. That's about it.

Change is the law of life.
I hope they make it good
Most times when they based the movies on games it turns out as poop
Like Silent Hill,
Silent Hill Movie was terrible,
But the game was good.
But I'm looking forward to it c:
And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future

I think one of the main reasons this movie has been so long coming is that Microsoft has refused to give any movie producers control over the material (which is what usually happens in video game movies; the movie rights get sold to some third party who doesn't care about keeping true to the original work), which made a lot of said producers uninterested in making the movie because they're worried it won't sell because it doesn't follow their cliche'd and tired movie formulas. So I'm hoping that with the tight control Microsoft is keeping on this, that it'll be at least as good as the Halo games' plots were and will hopefully prove that it is possible to make a great video game movie. If they can do that, maybe it will open the door for other video game movies that don't suck.
