I want a card that does ressurection and find myself torn between these two.
Both are sorcerries.
Raise Dead
B(lack)
Return target creature card from your graveyard to your hand
Pros: Cheap and it get's a creature back
Cons: You have to re-summon the creature
Vigor Mortis
B(lack) B(lack) 2
Return target creature card from your graveyard to play. If G was spent to play Vigor Mortis, that creature comes into play with a +1/+1 counter on it.
Pros: Creature comes directly into play!
If you're lucky enough to have G, it comes back stronger than ever! (and heeeeeeeere's phantom flock!)
Cons: Costs more. Not worth it on creatures that cost 4 or less.

Look at the creatures in your deck, really. If the vast majority of your creatures have a CMC of 3 or less, Raise Dead is the card of Choice. If the majority is 4 or more, go with Vigor Mortis.
Now, the main reason to play vigor mortis is to get a creature into play faster than actually hard-casting it. Use a card like Putrid Imp to put a creature with a high CMC into your graveyard, and then get it back on turn four.

I like both, but it's a tough choice. So I'll go with vigor mortis.

yeah, if you're using graveyard recursion, you are probably gonna wanna dump huge creatures in the grave and bring them back with vigor mortis/zombify. if you just want small creatures, raise dead would probably be better....but usually it's a sub-par card, in my opinion.

I do have a card that discards from my hand (Ghostly wings) but most of my creatures already have flying. Should I put that in there too?

Should I put that in there too? if most of your creatures have flying, then you shouldn't have ghostly wings. you wanna try to avoid auras as much as you can, unless they're really worth it. and unless you plan on getting HUGE creatures in play with vigor mortis, you might just want to have another creature instead of the reanimation spell. it's often more efficient to play cards as they are instead of trying to bring back other cards.

Why not post you decklist for us to see. That way we can help you understand what we're truly working with.

Aargh. Your deck has far too many one-ofs. I can't advice what to keep and what to cut unless I know exactly what you want to do, though. But whatever you do keep, bump up to 3-4 copies. Seriously. Even if it IS casual.
@sorrow89: Entomb is banned in EVERYTHING. Except vintage. It's just restricted there.

It costs 1 black mana, and it sticks a card from your library into your graveyard. It's much too powerful for constructed formats, but if you're doing casual, play as many as you like.
