It was afternoon when Antony Wicket got the letter. Well, that is not true, he got it early in the morning with the rest of the male. Just his job as a writer kept him a little busy because he had a deadline and was almost finished with his short novel he was writing. But he opened the letter after he finished and grinned like the moron he was. True, Tony wasn't the smartest, but he tried hard in everything he did if he was good at it or not. He was always up for a new challenge and learning new things. Tony took things as they were, and didn't try to control things.
But, after he read the letter, he took the letter and headed toward the place he would adopt his new little ward. He had things set up, a little for a girl, a little for a boy. He told them in the application that he wanted a boy, but nothing was set in stone. So here he was, on the door steps, confidently knocking on the door. He pushed his long, blond, pink streaked hair out of his face and gave a happy smile. With his green and dark brown eyes, the left and were right were two different colors, looking forward, he awaited his fate.

The door was eventually opened by a confused looking guild. "I thought the sign said come in." Jillian commented with a weird look.
"Anyway, who're you? You have an appointment?"

Well he felt sheepish. His cheeks flushed a little before he nodded. "I'm Antony Wicket. I do have an appointment, I guess. I got a letter to adopt a kid. I mean, I had signed up and everything." He held out the letter to her and tilted his head to the side.

The girl blinked a bid before nodding profusely. "Oh! Yeah! Come in then!" she said, taking the man over to the desk area. "Do you know what gender kid you'd like? Or any special things you'd like?"

He let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. The blond haired man pushed his hair from his face again. "I'd love a boy. I have a lot of boy things decorated in my house. I mean... I didn't think I'd get a chance to adopt after putting in an application. I had only hoped. But.." He flushed, rubbing his cheeks a little. Why did he have to talk so much when he was nervous?
"But a boy is all I'm hoping for."

Jillian looked a bit weirded out by the query, wondering why a volunteer wouldn't be pick but decided to shrug it off. "Yeah we have plenty of boys. Just come inside, I'll show you to them."

Tony nodded a bit, feeling stupid and totally not manly. So, he just shut up and followed her. He couldn't do any harm by doing that, could he? No.

Inside she led the man down a hall till she reached a rather neat looking room with a simple bed and a cute little pink haired child with strange glittery wings inside. "There's one. Pretty well behaved I think." Jillian explained with a grin.

He looked into the room and then smiled a little bit. "Oh, his wings are... so pretty." Of course that was the first thing he noticed, before the hair, then the eyes. And when the boy moved to stand up to greet them, Tony's eyes followed tot hat thick tail that was thumping about. "He's so cute! ...What is he?"

The girl giggled, "he's a pixie dragon combo, so that makes him my half brother. I'm cloud nymph and dragon. See, we have the same tail." the teen pointed to her own cloud spiked tail and flicked it a bit. "would you like to go in and meet him?"

So he was adopting this one's half brother? That was amazing. In a way. Wait. "Does that make all the kids in here related in one way or another?" He asked, trying to work out the family line and the genetics behind all of this. That question was mainly to himself and he looked to her tail again before back at the boy. "Of course I'll want to meet him."
The boy was walking around in the room now, adjusting and readjusting things, cleaning, swiping at invisible dust or something. He grinned afterward, feeling really good about himself.

"Sort of, but considering how old most of the donors are, you'd get interrelationships between lines anyway, so it's not really too big a deal if you're careful. The kids here can't reproduce till they're old enough and have the spell removed anyway, so Mama Kayen will keep an eye out for trouble." she assured the man with a handwave. "Anyway, you can go on in and say hello. The door's open." Jillian neglected to add the standard "don't make promises you can't keep" bit, but really, it wasn't necessary.

He nodded and moved into the room. No, he wasn't really listening to what she was saying, his eyes were focused on the boy. He crouched down once he got in and made a small noise as to not scare him.
Theis whirled around and stared at the man who was in the room with him and moved back to the bed rather quickly. His hands stayed on the cover and he stared at Tony, black eyes never blinking until Tony moved. "...Hello."
"Hello little one... Who're you then?"

Jillian coughed awkwardly, "They kinda don't have names yet. It's so the family can pick one." she said, trying to not sound embarrassed. That was a strange practice, but it had to have a purpose, right?

He could understand that, he really could. Looking back to the woman, he gave a grin and a nod before turning back to the pink haired boy. Who was currently looking all kinds of panicked. For the life of him, Tony couldn't figure out why he looked so panicked. Bah. "Oh, really then?" he grinned and nodded. "Well... I'll think of a really good name for you."
The boy looked to Jillian and bit down on his lip. He was going home with this man? What about a mother, he didn't get one? The boy had always, always pictured himself with a mother and a father. But, he shouldn't be picky, should he?
"Any name is OK," he said, voice low and embarrassed sounding. Now, he looked panicked because Tony was tracking in all kinds of germs into his room. But Tony didn't know of his problem, so he wouldn't say anything. But Jillian knew!
"I'm Tony. Tony Wicket.... I'm.. going to call you...." He paused for a few long moments and grinned. "Theis." He looked to Jillian to see what else he had to do. "Can I bring him home now?"
