Yoshitaka Amano is the artist that did Vampire Hunter D, Final Fantasy and Neil Gaiman's Dream hunters and countless other amazing endeavors. I finally realized something today and feel like such a dullard for not having seen it before: The similarities between his works and Gustav Klimt! Now I clearly see the influence in pattern repetition, composition, the handling of negative space and often even in color palate.
