Iime was a flurry of activity. The psion moving back and forth in the shop proper, objects floatign around in some chaoticly choreographed dance. There were rumors abound in Ulobbath these days, most of them unspoken... thankfully the common merchant or guard didn't keep their mind warded. Then again, it wasn't like the beautician actively probed minds... no no no, he couldn't help it. Skilled as he was at controlling his pwoers, he was still learning. and without a teacher, the going was slow. A pair of scissors flew an inch past his pointed ear and settled into their place by the large mirror where he tended to hairstylings, dresses flared and settled to various display stands, bathtime delights drifted into the bathhouse and the male paused to give a reverent sacrifice to the colony of spider that lived in the walls of the fitting room, a gracious gift he had recieved that allowed him to conduct several acts at once. Those who purchased spider silk garmets paid handsomely for such a gown, money that quickly found itself in the coffers of the high temple. Those unworthy to wear such finery were usualy devoured alive by the spiders, thus weeding out the foolish, those who left with the garment about them always left pleased, and when a priestess of such standing was happy, he was happy.. and safe for another week. A few of the spiders skitterd over his body curiously as he worked, the tickling movements remindign him who he served, adn the occaisional n** at his skin reminded him of the consequences should his favor with the clergy wane. As the last few objects settled, a broom floated into his hand and he contented himself with sweeping. He had a funny feeling that business was going to pick up in the next few days.
