Upon traveling to Genosis, it would seem as though the planet was vacant, giving it the perfect place to hide a clone factory. Abyssissa, however, remained a quiet, dorment planet with no real life to be found. People who crashed landed upon its frozen face found themselves stranded until they either were eaten or froze to death. All transmissions outward from Abyssissa are thrown off course by the constant crumbling of ice structures found in and out of the natural atmosphere.
After the dissipation of the Clone Wars, Genosia's structures and the battles that insued around it, breached a hull in the natural ice structures revolving around Abyssissa allowing radio transmissions in and out of the planet for the first time since its creation.
Since then, the new Sith Empire has taken refuge to this cold, uncharted place of danger and chaos. The Academy itself resides upon a frozen lake, in order for one to land, they must then walk across the frozen threshold and hope to survive the cold before reaching the protection of the castle.

Inhabitants; Humanoid The Ithats:
Besides the symbiant species that resides at the Sith Academy, rare few intelligent creatures have trekked the wasteland plains of Abyssissa and lived to tell about it. The Ithats, though rare sightings have been documented, have made their presence known. They are all crystalline beings that can blend in with their surroundings because their bodies are practically see through. They have no hair, no physical markings or other standard appendages that can easily be mistaken as being humanoid. They have two hands and arms, two feet and legs, but no definition in their toes or fingers. During storms, one can hears whistles, almost like a symphony of flutes all sounding at once. That is believed to be the Ithats speaking to one another.
The Corans:
These ice beasts are the one creatures that have adapted to the cold climate, and have proven to be as old as maybe even the planet. They have four legs with three round toed claws at the end of each foot. They run on all fours using their tail, which has three protruding spindels, that act as a fifth leg to propel them faster through the snow. Fur covers the entirety of their bodies allowing them to outlast snow storms better than any known creature in the universe. Their heads are lined with power spikes that can knock out a creature by plowing into it from behind. Their sense of smell can seek out prey at a high mile radius even during the coldest wind storm. They are the true threat of this planet. Though food is scarce, the Corans choose to live in, "Gangs," as a pack of them is referred, and they systematically hunt eachother out, extinguishing the possibility of incest or the need to mate within the family. They are, quite frankly, the perfect hunters.
