Sooooo...
I've been gone for a while now, sorry guys I hope every things been going okay for you all. I'm back now and there are achievements you can get on Gaia?
What is that about?
Can you buy anything with achievement points?
I am confused, can someone help fill me in? eek

You can't buy anything with the points, so its probably just a glorified bragging tag.

It'd be nice if you could purchase things for acheivement points then I actually might make an effort to earn them...But as I see it, at this point they are a waste of time.

Yeah, it's pretty much one more thing to do when you're bored. Some of it sucks because there ware a ton of things I'd done on gaia and had to do again if I wanted the achievement. This tends to make me think that the "achievements" are more for newbies to help encourage them to explore the site, catch them up on some classic gaia jokes, and generally help give them ideas on how to interact.

Certain ones cost money, such as putting on a vampire item or werewolf item, using the gender bender potion, etc. Others luck, like the invisibility post. People are pretty determined to ruin that achievement for as many people as possible.
