I'd always wanted to know one think about Finland. Every time I try to type it in a question air, it just comes up with, "haha, nerd" and such.
So, what are some typical foods you eat?

Err.. I have to say that I'm not the best person to answer this, since as a vegan I eat very little anything that is "typical" Finnish food. But I can give you some examples. For example we have these small pasties called Karelian pasties, which are basically riceporridge in a rye crust, they are usually eaten warm with "eggbutter" which is boiled egg and butter mixed together (you peel the egg, crush it a bit but don't sauce it and mix it with butter/margarine) or just plain butter/margarine. Our traditonal foods are kind of gamey, so moose and reindeer are used a lot. And potatoes! Then we have this sweet "bread" known as pulla (check wikipedia for this) and then there are these little tarts called Runeberg's tarts which are eaten on Runeberg's day (Runeberg is a well known Finnish writer/poet whose poem Vårt land (Runeberg was Swedish speaking like most of the educated types of his time) became the lyrics of our national anthem "Maamme-laulu") I also recommend researching Wikipedia for further information, but I hope this helped a little^^ Also, I don't know if these are typical, but they are traditional. When I was a kid I remember us eating brown gravy with mincemeat or sausage and some boilt potatoes with that. Or macaronistew, which had macaroni, mincemeat + onion, tomatosauce and cheese. Or soups. Sausage soup or mincemeat soup or minestrone soup or peasoup, which is green peas and ham slices. Pancake (flat, sweet and made of kind of like traditional pancake dough and then baked on a damper) is usually served as a dessert with some sort of jam.

Dang! Those sound really good. I would love to try the rice patties. I'm guessing you have [if there's no meat and such].

Colorful Shadows Dang! Those sound really good. I would love to try the rice patties. I'm guessing you have [if there's no meat and such]. They're not naturally vegan, since the porridge inside them is made with egg and they are usually dipped in melted butter after baking to make them softer, but they can be made vegan.
Also, Tere! to Estonia ^_^

I'm a little bit Finnish. My dad says I have Finnish eyes, and apparently Hanson or Paxton is a Finnish last name, because when my mom was researching her family heritage one of those were supposedly Finnish.

I have Finn in me! 8D My dad's family is from there~ Tauriainen. -nod nod-
It seems the only Tauriainens in America are my family. >.> At least, from what I've researched. Every person that pops up is a family member that I've met. XD
Except for Mika. >.> But he lives in Finland.
