Faction/Race Avarice Demon (Envy branch)


Personality: Vi believes, quite rightly so, that he’s awesome. Sure, he’s gotten shafted a few times… okay, maybe more than that (but hey, they were a** hats anyway so whatever, right?) by more than a few people, but that doesn’t stop his confidence. He will admit that he has a few.. ‘flaws’, but who doesn’t? Instead of it making him long to cry in a corner, huddled and sobbing, he thinks it’s a much better idea to learn how to overcome them.. maybe. If someone does give him the shaft, he’ll play it off as plain envy and jealousy from ‘cute little peons’, but if it’s something he feels he can change to make himself more awesome, he’ll work on it. Internally. Without losers finding out about it. Or he may feel a bit of payback is in order, depends on the mood. Sometimes that involves a bit (a LOT) of intimidation (namely to said person who made him have to think about it) but minor detail, minor detail. Very firmly upper crust, he knows his place in the flow of things (supposedly) and chooses to follow it in his own fashion. Namely, by not acting like this parents.

One thing that both guarantees a continuous ego boost while keeping him more or less sane are his "Projects". He believes that people should at least attempt to look at good as him, and being the oh-so-awesome and important Demon he is, he helps them at least try to match his standards. It’s a very good thing he’s given a regular allowance to help fund this ‘hobby’ of his. He’s also overly, vastly, almost insanely DETERMINED! Please, for the sake of your sanity, don’t tell him no. He might let you get away for a bit, but he’ll be waiting, plotting and he’s going to eventually get his way.

If asked why he does what he does, he’ll only shrug and say it’s because he wants to. That and the world is far too ugly to just let it be, but the truth is a bit more basic. Vi, despite his charm and flair for awesome outfits, currently has absolutely NO friends. He may have ‘followers’ or people who dote on him, but no one he can truly just sit and talk with. He’s only just recently discovered that he’s actually lonely and (maybe) would like that close connection. But to admit such a want to his parents would only result in him getting laughed at and called a p***y of an Avarice or something to that effect. So he covers it up by being his usual, charming self and shoves this little ‘issue’ into the back of his mind.

Why did they enroll at the academy? In the words of his lofty (and somewhat respected) parents, it is to become a ‘proper’ envy demon. Apparently, Vi had a bit too much fun with his ‘pretty projects’ and was causing a lot of problems in their neighborhood. They long for him to get over his obsession with fashion and looking good and to just do what his classification expects of him. They have always heard amazing things about Amityville High and know that they’ll set him straight. Vi, on the other hand, sees this new school as a challenge. He’s not sure if he wants to become the typical stereotypical envy demon, but he is interested in personal growth. And maybe performing some more ‘Projects’.

Fear: Oh you know you wish you were me – By channeling energy into his hands ( a bit of a time consuming task at times, about a minute mayhap) he can infuse his target with a heavy dose of self loathing, self doubt and… well, ENVY. Instead of wanting to attack him, the said attacker’ll be so full of mental issues, if he does attack, it won’t be as powerful as once expected. Giving Vi the time to either, fight back, get out of the way or find a way out of it altogether. He’s not very good at it, hence why he has to at least have some kind of bodily contact with his target and not just use his aura, like his parents. This effect lasts only for a set amount of time for now, until he can get better at it. Or find a different FEAR to use instead.

In Pokemon terms: When Livius uses his special, a dice is rolled, and whatever number is chosen is the number that is taken off of the attack stat of his enemy, making their attacks weaker.

Natural Ability Turning into a snake. Something he’s not good at (mainly because he doesn’t WANT to be good at it). He feels the snake form is rather ugly and tries his best to avoid it.. so he tends to change when he doesn’t want to. But it’s only when it’s triggered to. What that is? Vi knows how but it’s nothing he’ll ever admit to.

1: Haven't quite figured out the snake form (mainly because snakes give me the creeeeeeps) but once I have it figured, I'll post it up. All I know is he's not keen on being covered in scales, shedding or having to constantly 'lick the air' in that form. I figure that, since he never practiced or let it grow 'as per normal', when he does change into a snake, it's some small little garden sized variety. Has the chance of the form growing in size if he ever got over his hatred of it and practiced more.

2: If someone found out about him wanting friends, he'd most likely deny it, simply because he's not (mentally) ready to speak about it. He won't turn away from the person, but he'd be rather stoked to have made a friend. It'll show in how he'll tend to show up around them and let them follow him (if they don't look as awesome as he does) and he may drop advice to look better but he won't make them a Project. And it's rare for him to NOT want to turn someone in something distasteful into a Project XD

And no thanks for the questions. I'll edit it when I can come up with something better haha. and yes, I couldn't resist the pun, but he likes da ladies... maybe not Lust, but the ladies XD I think >> he's too Style focused at the moment to think about it.
