Ocelli lined up the mouse corpses again, nosing each one that lay on the bark of a fallen log. She'd found a family nest and had intially played with them when they were alive, but her heavy-hoofedness had meant their lives were eventually extinguished. She cooed over their small velvety bodies, their tiny paws and delicate ears.
'This is Daddy mouse..' she said, seperating the larger from the rest. 'He is a good daddy mouse..such a pity he couldn't save his family! I am sorry I killed your family.' she sighed, before flicking him into her mouth and swallowing whole.
'Daddy mouse went away.' she murmured, looking over the rest of the small bodies that she had dubbed 'Mother' mouse and 'brother and sister' mice.
'You should all follow him. A tiny family needs to be together.'
The mice would do little to satisfy her appetite, really they were more foal snacks but she couldn't let them rot into the ground and for a while their tiny cuteness would be inside her. She looked from mouse to mouse, pondering which one should join the Daddy one first..

Chu’mana Pawau was a proud and cocky male who was raised in a regular family, even though they where the most common of the breeds the same could not be said about the personalities which seems to reside inside its members. Some creatures these days bragged about how their families where always supportive and loving. Clearly as children they must have been perfect. That was not the case for him, whenever he did something wrong he got a good hoof up the backside from his mother which had done him some good. He taught him his lessons as well as developed his character, he knew what was right and what was wrong, as well as learning that life was not all hugs and kisses. Chu, and all of his siblings for that fact, where not push over’s and saw no crime in giving someone a n** if they saw them in the wrong; which had given him somewhat of a reputation as a bully in his younger years; however he saw it as doing the job that some parents should have been. They always saw it so hard to see the flaws in their little angels. That is why there where so many today that were stuck so far up their own backsides they could... moving on.
Chu however had a dark secret, one that he never told a soul. He had been in many one night stands with Kalona mares. He could never really put his hoof what attracted him to them. Their beauty, their power or simply the rage he could see in their eyes. Their bodies where designed to be killing machines and he, unlike others, could see the beauty and elegance in that. He had to admit this ‘hobby’ of his had gotten him into a lot of trouble, he had the scars to prove it yet the pain was just part of the twisted game he liked to play. He almost viewed these dangerous creatures as his ‘prey’ – Oh! How wonderful it was when the hunters became the hunted. However for now his encounters where that of lost, he found them glorious however one had not yet made a greater impression than that. Just the way he got his kicks and he had become somewhat of an expert. He knew what to expect and he knew how to act. As I said, he knows what he wants and how to get it.
What he had learned is that knowing as much as you can about your target beforehand always puts you at a advantage. He had seen this mare once or twice before. She was a stunning creature however he did not want to rush into meeting her. He would rather appreciate her beauty and look in from a safe distance rather than blindly go in and end up eaten. He had trained was his father and was rather strong however he knew a fight with a Kalona, female or not, was still not something anyone wishes to encounter. They are designed to fight, with their spikes and many weapons. He had confidence he could get away if things turned violent, however he knew he would most likely be wounded. He might like the odd love n** however sometimes things just went too far and he was forced to bolt.
He watched her as she lined up the corpses of the helpless little animals that she was playing with, his heart racing; the rush of adrenaline pulsing through his veins. Today was the day; he knew it in his heart and soul. A smirk came onto his devilish lips and he revealed himself from the shadows of the trees. Trying his greatest not to startle her, he did not want her to bite out of shock. He flicks his mane confidently, his cockiness was clear in his stride and the way his head was held high and proud. He had heard the little conversation she was having with the dead mice and did not think much of it, most of these creatures where usually insane in some way or another. ”Indeed, even death should not part a family. I say the children go next, so the mummy can stay behind and make sure they all get off safely before taking up the rear. You never know what kids are up to unless you watch.” He added, seeing her eyes scan to come to a decision.

Ocelli looked away from the tiny bodies, still in death on the log. She would have been startled by the strangely patterned one but his approach hadn't gone unnoticed, despite her conversations with the deceased.
'Yes? Is that what you think is it?' she asked, looking him over from under the fringe of her mane. He wasn't in the least bit small, nor cute but he was curious. And bold too, walking right over to a Kalona in the middle of her snack stroke playtime!
'You would be wrong. The mother goes next, that way for a short time the children are orphans and and have to go through even more pain than they had previously experienced.'
And so she proceeded to scoop up the mother, holding the body in her mouth for a moment, letting the fur tickle her tongue before tilting her head back and swallowing.
'Now they are alone. Defenseless.' she narrowed her eyes now and stared hard at the stallion for the first time since he'd approached. 'What do you want?'

”I am sure some people would be head over heels to see their parents go poof. You might have just done them a favour.” Chu smiled and looked at her, typical. Why did he not think of that one? Rookie mistake he just had to make sure not to make another one. He stood pretty still as the mare turned to look at him, giving a small shrug of his shoulders. ”Nothing much, admiring the scenery.” He stated blowing his fringe out of his eyes. You would think this stupid hair thing his two-legger put on him would at least cover his eyes however that was not the case. This was the first time he ever looked at her up close. She really was beautiful, especially in the little details he was noticing, from the spotted spider on her hind leg to the cobwebs that stroked her skin. She was simply magnificent.
”I must say it is particularly wonderful here.” Any fool could see he was not talking about the land but the wonderful mare in front of him. Not at least bit put off by her words or the fact she was eating flesh. He was pretty used to it by now and he knew from experience the taste of blood was not as awful as others made out. He had killed before and even though he could not say he was a fan of the taste he did not find it incredibly revolting either; just part of the game.
He wondered closer to her. Not close enough for her to be able to lash out before he had time to react but close enough for passersby to see the two as together. It was a sneaky way of knowing his limits and her personal space. His icy eyes looked at her; his aura was less than welcoming and friendly. He smirked and tilted his head to one side. ”What should I call the lovely lady?”

'Deep down, everyone has feelings for those who birthed them. The cut hurts deepest for those who were estranged, you cannot make right with the dead.'
Ocelli herself had respect for her mother - she had birthed her, raised her to be a good (if slightly off kilter hunter), and her father was a strong Kalona so she came from the very best stock. She nosed at the remaining two mice, their bodies slowly stiffening.
'Guilt and loneliness seep in, crushes the heart.' she would like to do that to someone, just to see how it would affect them. But in the mean time she liked her cute critters.
Her tipped tail started flicking at his attempts to compliment her and she slowly opened and closed her wings, warning him not to get too close, or she would lash out. She had quite a lot of self control when it came to anything that wasn't small and fluffy, and so unless he pestered or threatened her she wouldn't attack. That wasn't to say she would be all friendly either. She wanted to know why he was so bold given what she was, and what exactly it was he wanted.
'Whatever you like, the question is would I even answer?' she replied, smirking and showing her needle sharp canines.

Chu looked over and nodded his head, he could tell a lot from what she said. One thing was she was close to her mother unless she was just talking from the general point of view. It was true Chu himself was close to his own mother, he was a lot like her in personality is not a little lazier and laid back; however in humour and manor they were very much alike. He flicked his mane slightly and walked to stand by a tree looking back at her.
“Hmm, I did not expect you to answer, however you will do eventually. Until then I will just have to call you fluffy.” He replied with a small shrug. They always came around in the end and he was sure that over time she would also come around. His trick was a simple one. He caught attention by not running away or going into protective mode at the near sight of Kalona. He worked to confuse them and make them curious until they started to come to him. He had eaten meat before today to guarantee that result.
The male looked amongst the black giants which where the dead or dying trees. Indeed he was in Kalona territory. His pale eyes were wondering but every so often went back to the mare. “Don’t stop me from letting you finish your dinner.” He added with a small smirk before he started to wonder in and out of the maze of plant life.

She hissed softly at that proclamation, tilting her head so that her horns could be see more prominently.
'If you call me that, then I shall call you 'dinner',' she replied shortly, with no trace of humour. Just because she liked small furry creatures didn't mean that she would allow herself to be mocked, especially by this wingless..insect.
'Dinner? These are nothing..not even a snack to tide me over. My larger appetite would never be satisfied with something small.' Ocelli said, pointedly looking directly at the stallion this time. She'd never actually tasted Soquili, there had been more than enough woodland creatures as she was growing to satisfy her hunger but if he persisted in whatever game this was, she would make an exception.
Of course if he showed some respect than maybe she would suffer his company and not just take to the wing..

“Yes, yes. I am sure you hunger is as notorious as you make it out to be, however it appears that despite that you have been able to keep quite a attractive frame.”
He stated flicking his mane back over his shoulder looking at her with gentle pale eyes. They had a almost ghost like quality to them and even though they where one of his better features it became harder for him to conceal the despicable nature they hid. Even from his family. He loved them dearly and would never hurt them, he just hoped that one day he would feel confident enough to approach them. Maybe one day they would accept him for who he was.
“Dinner? I am sure you could be a lot more creative than that. However if you are not feeling particularly inspired my name is Chu’mana Pawau, however most people call me Chu. Or Chew, as others have come to address me.”
Chew... haha, yes a very ironic name when you consider what kind of game he played. Dancing with the devil had gotten him a n** or two in his days to say the least. He looked over her way with a small smirk, he needed some way to win her over, or at least win him a few more moments so he could do some that. He was a smart one, he did not come off desperate but did try and manipulate others with gentle nudges. He was sure they would be plenty of time to meet his desires when he
“Well if that is truly the case I would prefer not to be a meal? Maybe I myself could get you something in my place, if that is what your heart desires.”
He did not have horns, claws or wings at his disposal however he was quite a large male and he had hunted before. Even though he could never enjoy the meat he would keep trophies as a child; out of the sight of his parents of cause. Truth be told when you have something his size kick you in the head there was no waking up from it, especially for creatures which were smaller than him.
