Annabell sat in the field, eyes closed and her wings spread wide as she let the lovely high afternoon son wrap her in its delicate embrace. It was like a lick of warmth, a caress from a lover -at least that was how Annabell believed such a caress would feel since she was an innocent.

Adjusting her wings she pulled them towards her body. Her eyes opened, two beautiful blue gems began to look around the field, winter flowers... the snowdrop was her faviourite. It was delicate and looked like a soft wind could snap it in two yet the drop of the peltals, the pure colour always managed to make Annabell's heart skip a beat. Delicate and beautiful. A dangerous combination.

She could hear a stream happily rumbling and bumbling away near by, suddenly thirsty she pulled herself to her feet, her wings heavy and hot upon her back but felt delicious after their sunning in the high afternoon light. Annabell had a weekness for the sun, it called to her and evoked passions she had never realised she possessed.

It didn't take long to reach the stream, it ran across part of the field; it made Annabell feel safer being able to see for miles all sides of her. She liked to think it would give her enough warning to escape should the strange be considered a threat.

Down the shaded forest path Thesh-ah ploded along her cloven hooves makeing a muffled clop clop against the soft moss and dry leaves. Her eyes wich peared out from under a mask made from the skull of the kalona that slain her family, were made for low light like this. They were liken to twin emerald flames in the way that they glowed and flickered. Her Taterted battle vestments and long royal purple mane rustled gently in the sweet breeze.
Inhaleing deeply she smelled the sweet perfume of flowers.
There must be a medow nearby she thought her ears pricking forward happliy as her pace incressed to a trot. Eventually she reached the edge a butterful fluttered about her and she fallowed it in. The sunlight blinded her for a moment she squinted but kept her gaze on the task at hand playfully chaseing the butterfly. She was blissfuly unaware she wasent alone in this sunlit slice of paridice.
(( uber scary looking mare chaseing butterflies lol I love thesh-ah ))

Annabell had her fill of the cooling liquid, it ran so smooth and soothing down her throat that she closed her eyes in utter bliss. Part of her wanted to perserve this moment forever, just be alone with her utter sated bliss. But of course she knew it could never happen. Annabell knew that things where already in motion for her life, she would marry..... and it would not be of her choice, but someone that the universe had assigned to her for the good of the world. She only hoped that she liked the stallion... what would he be like? Would he ever love her? These questions kept Annabell in a state of constant disorder and worry..... she wanted more than anything to be able to pick her mate, to be able to love them and care for the way she saw fit rather than worry that she was offending them in some way. But only time would reveal the solution to her dilema.

Finished and thirst gone she turned around to and was about to find a spot so she could enjoy the sun again when she saw something... a creature covered in bones.... a threat? The creature looked beastly, evil.... as if it would kill Annabell without a moments notice. Annabell was not a fighter, she was gentle and kindhearted so coming face to face with a beast was not her ideal 'welcome to the area' party. But as she watched, frozen to the spot rather than out of choice; Annabell noticed the creature was chasing.... butterflies?

Interested, and wondering if any creature that could chase such things could ever be considered truely evil she watched. However Annabell remained silent, her voice having escaped her.

Obliviously Chaseing her little winged companion about in tight circles, dashing this way and that merrily for some moments she reared up on her hind legs ney-ing merrily. It was then she noticed that she wasent alone. A mare of deep chocolate brown, wrapped in long ribbions and fine cloth watched her quietly not far away with what seemed to be a mixture of caution and indisishion.
Going back down onto all fours thesh-ah cleared her throat.
"uh ummmmm. Hi- . . .heh" she tried to think of something to say but ubdortunetly drew a blank.
Just then the butterfly she had been chaseing landed right on the end of her nose causeing her to sneeze a few times

Annabell couldn't help the laugh that escaped her. It was soft and rang out like music into the daylight. The small creature that was now perched on the others nose made her look far less threatening despite the mask of bone she wore. Finally catching herself Annabell stopped laughing and instead tried to act like the lady she was, the fact that her 'companion' sneezed helped her cause as she said; "Bless you." It was instinct to say such whenever someone sneezed.

Smiling, and now feeling far more comfortable, if the tiny butterfly could accept the creature before her then so could Annabell. The fact that Annabell had wings and could fly away was also helping her nerves settle. "Hello, my name is Annabell. I didn't realise anyone else was here." She looked up to the sky, the sun shone to her in welcome but it was far to bright for her to look at for long. She lowered her gaze once more before saying with a chirp and a smile; "Isn't the sun beautiful." It was a statment but it could have sounded like a question.

The bright orange monarch butterfly after either susessfully ruining any chance she had at seeming like a soq with some dignity or failing at makeing her look threatening flitted off across the medow to suck some nectar from a large patch of snow drops like it was nothing.
As the soq across the feild laughed and thesh managed a chuckle as well. It was kind of funny she supposed.
"Thank you I'm Thesh-Ah. It's allright I obviously wasent aware I wasent alone either other wise I would not have made such a fool out of myself." she replied. The voice that came from behind the mask of bone didn't sound at all right. Instead of some deep throaty growl or gruff guteral speach It was rather soft almost a whisper of a shy child. She nodes at the comment about the sun as it was beautiful and felt rather cozy against her coat.
"wares the rest of your heard if you don't mind me asking?" thesh asked lookig about.

Annabell smiled as the mare introduced herself, "It's a pleasure Thresh-Ah. That's an unusal name...." Annabell had heard many unusual names, some of foreign lands but the name this particular mare bore didn't seem to ring any bells with Annabell, making her curious about its origins. "...does it mean anything?" Annabell's own name meants 'in the light of god' and 'beautiful'.

Yet as the question of her herd came into view she found her breath freeze in her lungs. Not all horses lived in herds, and the fact that this one believed she was a member of one made her feel nervous and suspicious. Annabell had always avoided anyone who could turn out to be 'pure evil', the herd shaman had prophecied that one day someone of pure evil would end her life. Had she finally let her guard slip? Was this the creature that would destroy her?

Heart thundering in her chest Annabell took a step back, her voice all but a stutter as she spoke, "Why....would.... I-I-belong to... a...herd?"

Thesh noted her reaction to her question of her haveing a herd and decided to handle the situation delicately seeing as how it seemed to make her new companion somewhat more than a little afraid.
"It was my great great grandmothers name she was an amazeing warrior said to have thestral blood in her veins.  I apalogise for asumeing you had a herd it's just that as far as I know it's generally safer in herds. Esspecilly for ones such as your self. Please don't think me rude but I dare say I doubt you could fend off a skinwalker or demon steed on your own. " she paused with a gentle laugh to  "that's the advantage of my apperance I don't think anything would try to eat me with a ten foot pole." she lauged again hopeing her reply would lighten the mood once more.

Annabell wasn't sure if the other mares words did anything to help her fears... or if they infact made them worst. Either way she felt rather offended, true she was not trained in combat. True still that she had never hurt another without feeling guilty. And also true... she did in fact belong to a herd. Still, that didn't mean Annabell was weak.... did it?

She pouted, considering the mares theory for a moment. She may not be able to kill a skinwalker on her own but... "Angeni are naturally strong against skinwalkers. I wouldn't need to kill it... just knock it out or something so I could escape. It would be foolish to fight... I am not naive." Ok, so her pouting and declaration probably only enhanced the arguments for her being naive but she would always agrue against that point... she had a destiny, and she was ready to recieve it with open hooves and open mind.

"You don't look so tough..." She mumbled and grumbled, looking away the strange bone covered mare before her. Annabell didn't like feeling weak or worthless... and right now she felt both.

Thesh studdied the young mares resactions like someone looking to defuse a emotion sensoring bomb. It was clear she gad wounded her pride a dangerus thing to do indeed.
"Thats very true. Very true indeed you would just need to esscape i tend to forget that, that is indeed an option. For i carry too many grudges in my heart and scars to let things go so forgiveingly when it comes to dealing with their kind.
Your actually the first Angie Ive ever met though it seems so far the tales many tell of you compashion for others, forgiveing nature and all arround goodness ring true. It makes me happy to know this. Please Forgive my asumptions I feel that I have wounded you with my idels and my loose tounge but allow me ab explaintion. I didn't always look like this I asure you but now . . . Being one with no beauty I belive those so blessed with such a gift should be protected. Like a delicate flower in a hot house no matter how hardy it might actaully be. For even the lightest frost would be a damage no thing of such divinity should suffer. Less they end up as iam. I didn't always look this way." she sighed looking down at her scared leggs and chipped hooves.

Annabell wasn't entirely sure what to do or feel.... the mare before her sent such a wide array of emotions through her that it confused and confonded her. She sighed as well, no matter how someone looked the should never consider themself in such low esteems -at least that was what she believed. "Yes I am of the Angeni, an Angenicorn to be exact." She said softly with a wiggle of her four wings on her back, head and ankles before shaking her head once so her hair moved revealing the long and elegant horn upon her head. She loved her horn, many had told her it looked like pure spun gold, elegant and unique just like she was.... she wondered if that was because of the magic that resided in it? Like many Angenicorns she wasn't able to heal as well as pure unicorns but she was able to do enough to save a life or two.

"But.... you are not ugly you know, so what you have a few scars... they just show your strength, some wear it quietly but yours is written on your body for all to see. It is to be admired not ignored or dismissed." She said with a soft smile, "plus..." she added, "I think you are pretty. Your mask is very nice to."

Ok, so the other mare did scare Annabell a little, but she couldn't just leave her like this... no creature deserved to look or feel so sad. Especially when they hadn't tried to attack an innocent.
