General InformationBreeding demons is a difficult thing to do, given the dangers involved with the process. However, some experienced faeries have had success with their summons.
The first thing you'll want to know before breeding your demons is that the baby is nothing like your typical faerie baby. The spawn will be dangerous and should be handled with care. Demons are actually incapable of reproducing in the faerie realm and must temporarily return to their own realm to do so. Once the process is complete, the parents will return to the faerie realm. The spawn must then be summoned by the faerie. It can be released later to another summoner, if desired, usually for something in exchange.
Gender is not an issue in demon mating. They aren't born through traditional reproduction (though they are capable of the act), spawning the offspring instead. Though the new demon is born genderless, it will assume one when it takes its full form for the first time, for identification purposes only; it can't be altered later. They tend to lean towards the opposite "gender", regardless, possibly imitating faeries.
Demons don't usually choose a partner for life, so are free to move on after they spawn. However, if they do become attached to a fellow demon, they will create a spiritual bond that is literally unbreakable. To do so would result in the death of both parties.
Demons usually spawn only one or two demonlings at a time. Life partners may spawn up to three.
