Caoimhe was giddy. It had been three days already. Three long days filled with anxiety. She had flown part of the way to their meeting place, but had decided the rest of the way should be on hoof. Her head was miles away as she thought about the stallion waiting to meet her. She was about to learn why that had been a very, very bad idea.

User Image Truth came naturally to Amitiel, for as long as he could remember he had always had power over the domain.... but women, well that was a difficult topic. He was inexperienced with them, innocent, and rather awkward around them despite his usual confident attitude.

Yet, three days ago he had found himself in the presence of a most enchanting mare. A mare of a pale white pelt, and striking lilac hair with a horn that was tinted a slight blue. It had taken him a while to hunt down the best roses, the different foods he wanted to collect for her and of course the rare red gem. He had been able to collect the gem on the second day but dared not pick anything else incase it withered and died before Caoimhe had had a chance to get to see what he had brought her.

So, he had ventured out at two am, before the sun had even begun to consider making its rise into the sky. He had travelled France to find the best roses, and collected roughly fourty of them, keeping them safe in a horse basket that Maion had lent him. Next he had ventured to best orchid for apples, and most abandoned field to collect strawberries before travelling back to the soquili lands with his gifts and treasures. It had been a hard flight, his wings were tender and worn out by the time he found his way to the legde he and Caoimhe had sat to watch the sunrise on three days ago.

Exhausted by strangely invigorated by his excitement Amitiel placed his goods carefully down, spread a blanket he has borrowed from a young stallion called Sonnet -Amitiel really needed to catch up on herd business, he had been gone far too long, missed to much- and upon the blanket he put his precious cargo. The roses he spread carefully out of the wind so that they would not get damaged more due to the alltitude. The different fruits he had collected were placed in several piles on the blanket and now, he had to do the one thing he seemed to do a lot around Caoimhe..... he waited.

To himself he mumbled, "Please come back for me Caoimhe!" His words were swooped away from him on the wind.

Well well well. Wasn't this a treat. Terra looked mildly surprised as a familiar mare wandered into her line of sight. The skinwalker felt the hatred seethe through her body. This Caoimhe had interfered with her twice before and this was perhaps the best time to enact her revenge.

Slipping from the shadows that essentially had hidden her form Terra shifted into her bat form and took to the skies. Loosing a series of high pitched noises Terra waited until the sound picture was complete before diving sharply towards her target. The bat-walker braced for the impact that was to follow ... but her size would surely cause something to happen.

Caoimhe froze for a split second at the screeching and looked around frantically. She had a bad feeling about that screeching. The bat hit her side causing the breath to leave her in a rush. Gasping, she stumbled forward and began heading for what she hoped was safety.

After several minutes she regained her level breathing, she bolted outright. She had not planned on a fight, especially not today of all days. She didn't know if he could hear her, but she called for the stallion that had quickly stolen her heart, "AMITIEL! SKINWALKER!"

"Please...someone, anyone, let him hear me. Even if I'm not saved, let him be spared..." thought the terrified mare.

Amitiel had begun pacing, wondering if he was about to be stood up or if the sun would ever rise, everything seemed to have stopped around him. A capsule of time that refused to let him out... trapped in his own thoughts, an ever changing landscape of questions. Had he done something wrong?

Then he heard it, a screeching, bat like he believed and then it was swiftly followed by a voice and a name... his name! The voice was distant though, how far away was he?

It didn't matter, Amitiel had to try. The last sound he heard echoed in his mind again and again, threatening to destroy him for not protecting the mare better. He should not have assumed she would have been safe.... stupid, stupid Amitiel.

Skinwalker... here! Skinwalkers where the natural enermy of the Angeni, both races possessing strengths to destroy the other, except in many ways the skinwalker had the advantages- they could hurt any race, hone their skills, while Angeni only tended to kill skinwalkers when they where a threat. Amitiel knew the potential was within him, but how did he use it?

Mind racing heart thumping he abandoned his set up and sped in the direction the cry had come.

"I'm coming... hang in there!" He whispered to himself, not wanting to give away his position more than he needed to. Again the world had paused, taunting him with its never ending road to find Caoimhe.

Terra had long since shed her animal form to chase after Caoimhe. The alicorn was operating on fear alone and thus Terra had the upper hand in the rational thought department and she used it to great advantage. The skinwalker knew that she had at least injured Caoimhe somewhat in the initial strike and she longed to sink her teeth into the mare's wings to at least keep her on the ground.

Taking short, low flights instead of staying on the ground allowed Terra to gain on her prey. This was going to be fun. Taking a deep breath the mare soared over top of Caoimhe's form and landed in front of the running mare.

"Hello Caoimhe. Remember me?"

The batwalker reared and let her wings unfurl as the claws flashed out in tandem strikes. The move was supposed to be startling but not too damaging if the claws actually snagged on something.

Caoimhe danced backwards, out of the other mare's reach. She sneered at the batwalker, "Of course Terra. How could I forget the mare that tried to attack a curious foal."

It looked like she would have to fight. Fine, she'd die fighting if that's what it took. At least she wouldn't find Amitiel. The white mare could only hope he had gotten away all right. Eyes narrowing, she whirled and lashed out at the other with her hind legs. Hopefully the kick would connect and knock the mare back. She secret hoped it knocked her silly so she could get the upper hand.

A shadow fell over her and somehow she knew it was he. Her heart sank as he came around to land. Her attention remained on the vicious mare she was dealing with though all she wanted to do was scold him for coming to save her. He was for more valuable to others than she! She was merely a stranger and this land. Few would miss her. How many would miss him if he fell in her defense? She would never forgive herself for this if anything happened to the angeni stallion.

Amitiel's heart was pounding in his chest, he was pushing all of his muscles as far as he could... and already he could feel the burn. Good, it reminded him of his purpose, a purpose that he would not simply lie down and take. He had an innocent to save, it was his duty as an Angeni and one that Amitiel took very seriously.

Then he saw her, the enchanting mare that had filled his dreams for days now, but beside her was a creature so disgusting his stomach wanted to roll in revolt. Skinwalkers were unnatural, cursed by the hand of a sedistic maker.... even pures, for their boasting of being the true nightmares where unnatural. Nature was a harmony of powers, and ebbing and flowing of strengths... yet Skinwalkers took without concern, slaughtered without preference. Despicable creatures of true darkness. They deserved to suffer for their crimes... judged by the angels themselves!

He landed beside Caoimhe, his gaze focused upon the beast as he slowly positioned himself in front of the fair maiden (Caoimhe). Amitiel spread his wings wide, using them to cover the mare stood slightly behind him while also attempting to flaunt his own wingspan in a similar manner to the skinwalker. In this one battle he won, his four angeni wings much larger than even many of his own race.

Amitiel dared not look at Caoimhe, instead he simply prayed she would stay safe while he destroyed the beast himself.

Usually Amitiel would have talked, his truth ability only working on spoken word... yet now was not the time for such things, no now was the time for ACTION!

Moving on instinct he lunged himself forward.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
To make it fair, going to roll a dice to decide what happens =D
1- Amitiel manages to slam his hooves into Terra's shoulder.
2- Amitiel misjudges the distance and as he hits Terra he also managed to hit Caoimhe, and twists his ankle in an attempt to prevent her from getting hurt.
3- Amitiel uses his wings to blind the beast for a moment as he used his strength to shove Terra backwards.
4- Amitiel gets only a weak hit on Terra.
5- Amitiel headbuts Terra in the face.
6- Amitiels attack completely misses and he stumbles slightly, only just managing to keep himself on his feet.

Terra's eyes narrowed at Caoimhe as once again someone had misjudged her. However that aside the batwalker was hungry and the alicorn would sure make a good donation to appease her hunger. However that little niggling thought in the back of her mind made Terra pause.

"Caoimhe. I didn't attack that foal as you say. I merely scared him away from me. There's a difference. At least that is what happened the first time around. The second time ... well you and he annoyed me too much."

The time for talk was now over though it seemed as Caoimhe lashed out at her. The attack missed but Terra still felt the passage of air from the force behind the attempt. She sneered. "I missed and you missed. Shall we try again?"

It was then that Terra noticed the large shadow soaring over the open ground. Her gaze trailed upwards to focus on the landing of the larger male ... and apparently an Angeni at that. Well. This was splendid. Suddenly the fight had appeared to be a two-on-one fight. Then again as the male stood in front of Caoimhe Terra snickered. "Am I too much that you need a stallion to defend you Cam?"

The smirk that she wore faltered a bit as the Angeni lunged forward towards her. Terra felt the weak impact before darting back. "And just who are you?"

Terra paused for a moment before assessing the situation. She glared at Amitiel before darting forward again.

--- --- --- --- --- --- --- ---
(Dice usage seems fine. I'm going to hopefully do this right too)

1. Terra manages to strike Amitiel in the side (minor)
2. Terra misjudges her attacking range and stumbles leaving her open to attack
3. Terra darts past Amitiel to try and injure Caoimhe
4. Terra rears and strikes Amitiel on the wings. (minor)
5. Terra lunges forth and strikes Amitiel with her talons. (moderate)
6. Terra stops and whips up dust with her wings creating a screen between herself and Amitiel

The fair maiden in question despaired as the two began to fight. She couldn't let him do this alone. Silent as she could, she took to the air. Using the dust Terra had whipped up against her, Caoimhe winged her way around behind her and slightly to the left. Landing as deftly as she could, she pawed the ground with a hoof before charging. She lowered her head at the last second so she might do more damage.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(I hope I'm doing this right)

1. Caoimhe strikes true, but only does minor damage
2. Miss Caoimhe is caught by Terra as she turns upon hearing the hoofbeats.
3. Caoimhe strikes true and does major damage
4. Miss Caoimhe's strike is absorbed by the batwalker's pelt.
5. Caoimhe scores a hit, impaling Terra's side
6. Miss Caoimhe's charge falls short as she stumbles

Terra heard the hoofbeats from behind her and whipped around to catch Caoimhe charging at her. Well that wasn't a very friendly thing to do. Her gaze narrowed as she took in the mare's pace and made a split minute decision to take her attention from Amitiel. The chance to do lasting damage to the mare that called herself Terra's conscience was just too tempting to pass up. As Caoimhe charged nearer to the spot that the batwalker held Terra reared once again. Her wings snapped taut as she used the extra little bit of leverage to wait until the perfect moment to strike.

As Caoimhe reached her Terra let gravity pull her down ... hooves locked to deal a possible crushing blow.

- - - - - - - - -
1. Terra's blow catches Caoimhe on her back as she charges by causing moderate damage (think of what a sudden hit to your back feels like)
2. Terra waits too long and Caoimhe passes by unfazed.
3. Terra comes down from her attack early and instead lashes out with her talons again. (minor damage)
4. Terra's blow catches Caoimhe on the crown of her head ... causing the mare to collapse (not dead. Maybe knocked out or at least out of the fight) but also wounding herself because of the horn.
5. Terra comes down hard and strikes Caoimhe's wings. (minor to moderate damage)
6. Terra leaps into the air and changes her attack to hit Amitiel instead (false screen - minor damage because of possible distance)

((Sorry for the delay, was busy last night! *huggles*))

Amitiel watched, his heart jumped into his throat as Caoimhe placed herself into danger.... was she that reckless with her own life? Did she want to die? Amitiel knew that he had the strength to defeat the skinwalker, all Angeni did but his weakness was Caoimhe, if the skinwalker figured that out and used her against him then this would soon be over.... and that was no an option as far as he was concerned.

He snarled at the beast, he could scent the slight lie in the skinwalkers words as she spoke of the foal and how she hadn't intended to attack them... but it was only slight... maybe not a complete lie? Interesting. Amitiel's ability was a curse most of the time, hearing the truth behind their words, understanding why they where lying -even if it was only to themselves. Many used lies as a layer of protection, some had been lying for so long they knew nothing different.... yet Amitiel was always able to tell. He himself could also say no lies, it was the reason why Amitiel would simply remain silent if he had no desire for them to learn the truth. It was also for the reason why Amitiel didn't flaunt his ability. And it was certainly not an advantage he wanted the skinwalker to have.

Finally he answered the beasts question; "I am Amitiel." He would have said that Caoimhe needed no protector, except he couldn't because Amitiel believed that the mare did.

Amitiel watched as hit attack caused little damage to the beast followed by the wall of dust and then actions of Caoimhe as she leapt into action. But Amitiel couldn't just stand and do nothing.... he would act, take the distraction as his call to make his move.

He charged forward once more. Wings spread wide.

-----------------------------------
1- Misses because the other mares are moving.
2- Strikes Terra hard but rebounds off and stumbles on top of Caoimhe knocking them both over.
3- Brings his hooves hard down Terra's shoulder.
4- Weak blow to Terra's back.
5- Minor damage as Amitiel headbutts Terra's side.
6- Amitiel's wings cause more dust into the air, covering his path and presence for a moment as he strikes Terra.... but he mades a mistake and it was actually Caoimhe.

The white mare was exhausted, but she wouldn't give up. She wouldn't let the hellish mare hurt Amitiel. She wasn't sure how, but she would do something. Her body was already starting to foam from the exertion. By some sort of luck, the other mare took too long to attack. Caoimhe raised her head as she passed under her, praying that she would do some sort of damage to distract her from the angeni.

She didn't have a death wish and she really didn't want to be fighting. She was just doing what any mare would do in defense of those she cared for. It wasn't recklessness, to her it was her spirit to persevere that was spurring her to fight what would have surely been a losing battle had Amitiel not been there.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
((Was out last night watching Deathly Hallows))

1. Hit Caoimhe's horn scratches the underside of Terra's belly. Minor damage
2. Miss Caoimhe has too much momentum and just keeps going
3. Hit Caoimhe's horn scratches, then impales Terra. (Minor-Moderate Damage)
4. Miss Caoimhe doesn't raise her head enough and passes under the other mare harmlessly
5. Hit Caoimhe's horn slams into Terra's belly. (Moderate damage)
6. Miss Caoimhe stumbles as she's passing and falls, spraining her leg in the process

(( Was basically comatose all day today. Lack of sleep from day before caught up with me ))

What blind luck her opponents were having. First she missed hitting Caoimhe as the white mare charged her and now ... now this. Terra recoiled from the sudden lancing pain in her shoulder from Amitiel's attack. Nothing felt broken to her but before this day perhaps even this battle would be over with she would be feeling the ache for days to come. Even though most of the blow had been absorbed - the jarring sensation of having another Soquili's weight come bearing down on one's limb was enough to clear Terra's mind for a moment. Of course one couldn't let the move go unpunished and the skinwalker paused for a moment to regain her perspective thoughts on the battle.

The battle was definitely not in her favor as she had two opponents - one of them her deadly enemy (Amitiel) ... but Caoimhe seemed to be putting up a hell of a fight as well. If only she could manage to take the alicorn out of the fight perhaps she could focus then on fighting the Angeni. Pacing a little helped to take the pain off her mind and Terra focused her gaze to settle on the white mare. It would be now or never. Her wings unfurled and she took to the air.

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --
1. Terra flies over Amitiel and manages to knock over Caoimhe as she lands. (minor damage but Caoimhe's on the ground)
2. Terra misjudges the distance but lands far enough away from Caoimhe and Amitiel to be out of direct striking range. (miss)
3. Terra kicks out in the air and strikes Amitiel as she passes but loses her momentum and lands early. (minor damage)
4. Terra's flight is true and she drops directly onto Caoimhe's back knocking the other mare down and leaving her susceptible to further attack. (I'm calling this one moderate damage)
5. Terra swoops around a few times before changing her target mid-flight and lands beside Amitiel and lunges at the stallion's neck with teeth bared. (minor damage)
6. Terra hastily decides that discretion is the better part of valor and leaves the battle.
