Tell me, what are your favorite quote/s? They could be about anything you want. Just post the quote/s you think are really true, clever, sweet, funny or whatever!
And please, I'm so sick of pathetic love quotes. As much as possible, try not to post those simple-minded and hopeless anonymous love quotes! ^^
Let me start: "As a well-spent day brings happy sleep, so a life well spent brings happy death." -Leonardo da Vinci
I really like this quote because it's so true. So many people try to do everything they love and say that they know how to live, but aren't they really learning how to die a happy death?

Always be a poet, even in prose. -Charles Baudelaire
This is probably my favorite quote ever, because I started out as a poet, then progressed into stories. But even when I write stories (and my nanovel) I always incorporate the figurative language I used in poetry.
Writing is a socially acceptable form of schizophrenia. -E. L. Doctorow

Hmm most of my quotes are song lyrics...but here are my top five.
"I have great faith in fools - my friends call it self-confidence." — Edgar Allan Poe
Inspired by no doubt my beloved Samuel the Camuel a.k.a my cousin.
"The cars don't move because you are magical, they move because its the law." -From one of my disscusions with such cousin as is mentioned.
"Wanna catch that fire and be all consumed" -Alpha Rev
Inspired by my desires and dreams.
"I cannnot rhyme and so I say, to hell with rhyming anyway! Have I just made a rhyme?" -Me!
"But I think he's married to Kim tee hee," -Eminem
Good memories...

"If who you are is what you have, and what you have is lost, who are you?" -Anonymous
Gah, I have too many favorites to choose from. I actually collect them as a hobby. XD
"The desire for power is rooted not in strength, but in weakness." -Isaiah
"Life is short, And pleasures few, And holed the ship, And drowned the crew, But o! But o! How very blue The sea is!" -Clive Barker
The poem Invictus.
The Counting Crows and The Killers, but mostly The Counting Crow's songs Round Here and Anna Begins. So good. whee Andrea Boccelli's stuff is fantastic too, though you have to look up the translations.

I mostly like quotes from animes I've watched or books I've read.
"Remember. You can feel it if you hold your hand against your chest. It belongs to no one. It's our pulse, yours and mine." ~Ergo Proxy, from Ergo Proxy.
Sword of Truth quotes
I love all those on that page because they're so very true and help me realize some things about myself, especially the Wizard's Rules
"If only... Those must be the two saddest words in the world." ~Mercedes Lackey
I like this because it reminds me that the past cannot be changed, no matter how many times people say "If only I'd done this" or "If only this had happened". I prefer not to dwell upon what has happened in the past any longer than I need to in order to learn from it.

I'm sorry there's a love quote included. These are a few of my favorite quotes.
"Good writers define reality; bad ones merely restate it. A good writer turns fact into truth; a bad writer will, more often than not, accomplish the opposite." - Edward Albee
"If you think about it, attaining salvation simply by praying sounds too good to be true. There must be a catch somewhere." - Albel Nox, SO3
"Finish. The difference between being a writer and being a person of talent is the discipline it takes to apply the seat of your pants to the seat of your chair and finish. Don't talk about doing it. Do it. Finish." – E. L. Konigsburg
"My affections and wishes have not changed, but one word from you will silence me forever. If, however, your feelings have changed, I will have to tell you: you have bewitched me, body and soul, and I love, I love, I love you. I never wish to be parted from you from this day on." – Mr. Darcy, Pride and Prejudice
"It is a far, far better thing that I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest that I go to, than I have ever known." - Sydney Carton, A Tale of Two Cities

But I have so many favorites I'll ration them out somewhat xD

"People want to know why I do this, why I write such gross stuff. I like to tell them I have the heart of a small boy... and I keep it in a jar on my desk." ~Stephen King.
I'm a horror writer, so this is my regular line. Lol.
