If I were to play for you the Song of Healing and seal all your sorrows into a mask, what would the mask look like, and what would it do?
I realize that this may force you to reveal things you may not want the world to know about you. Obviously, you are not obliged. You are, however, not discouraged from talking about such things either. Be as limiting as you desire.
Above all, please do not lie.
I also want to point out that you are not restricted by the limits of Majora's Mask as well. The mask can be capable of anything outside what the game's masks do. I want you to be as creative as you can be with it.
So tell me, sorrowful soul. After this song plays and your grievances are exposed and sealed into harmless wood and clay, what mask shall you have been bestowed with?

Sombrale (the N is for "nobody") power : playing with people's mood.
Why does it stand for "nobody"? In what way can the user "play with people's moods"? How does the user induce it? Is it constant when they put the mask on? Does the mask affect the user in any way? Tell me more.

In fact, I'm not good with words. sweatdrop So, when the user wear it, he can force someone to have a certain mood or emotion. But in return, the user doesn't feel anything. And for the "nobody", when you don't feel anything, you're not really a human, you're no one. I'm sorry, it was confusing sad

Okay, I'll post mine. Hopefully it will encourage more people to create one.
After the Song of Healing is played for me and I am freed of my past sorrows, what would come of it would be a large, oval-shaped mask that looks as though it is made of marble instead of wood or clay. The face of the mask would be completely unmarked, smooth and pearly white. When the user puts the mask on, it will start to shimmer with a kind of dancing light, as though the surface of the mask is shining with the light reflected off a gently rippling pool of water. With it, they will become imbued with intensely powerful magic that may take on different manifestations, depending on the user himself/herself. The magic inside them will continue to grow and intensify to the point where the user would either have to expel the magic from their bodies by utilizing it or remove the mask entirely. Otherwise the magic would grow so powerful that it would rip their physical bodies apart. The obvious part is that the mask would be capable of absolutely devastating magic, but the not-so-obvious part would be at great cost to the user; for every time they used the mask and all its immense power, they would feel terrible pain for a brief moment, which would subside after a little while and leave no detectable trace of its existence. However, the amount of magic expelled would alleviate the immediate danger of instantaneous death for a time, until the magic builds back up again and the user is forced to choose whether to detonate the next magical nuke or remove the mask.

made from porcelain tainted green from exposure, my mask of sorrows has a long crack that is leaking whatever is still holding it together. this mask gives you the power of being (master chief! wait..no that's something else..THE DOCTOR, ok now i'm being silly) unnoticed like a ghost, able to walk though walls and unconscious of time.

@fayorii Looks like it performs the same function as the Stone Mask, huh? Perhaps you could expand on the metaphor a little? @mindee stepford cuckoo I think you may have missed the point of the thread a little bit. Likewise, it's awfully vague. More explanation? Why? How? Etc.

Mask of Burden

Power: Gravitational Pressure. Can increase or decrease amount of gravitational pressure exerted on anything whether it be solid, liquid, or gas. Needless to say, it would apply to humans. It could allow a human to float through the air or pin them painfully into the ground or even crush a human into slabs of meat with enough pressure.
As to why my mask would be in this form when my sorrows are drained into a solid form. People around me don't notice this due to my optimistic view of life and love of humor, but deep inside I feel a heavy burden weighing on my body. At times, I feel as though I am an experimental subject used to test out several paths in life in order to give my younger siblings an easier time. Of course it's not simply limited to that, but sharing anymore would be very uncomfortable. If the picture doesn't show, it's in the form of a golden masquerade mask. I found it fitting that it only covers a part of the face. It's like it covers half of the person wearing it. People know me, but they only know a fraction of the real me. This burden will forever be mine to bear and mine alone.

Oh my. The thread disappeared under the five other on the home page that I didn't see you posted. Interesting idea, but the metaphor in the mask seems to kind of lean both ways, whereas the actual situation you are/were in doesn't seem to have that luxury. But, I suppose, at the same time, it kind of does. Though, I am kind of assuming a few things, so I shouldn't really talk. Good idea anyway, though, and I appreciate your effort.

Don't be silly. You did fine; all I was looking for was for you to make a somewhat different metaphor out of your sorrow.
