Fav. Food: Peaches. Ever since she was young Mattie enjoyed the fruit, either as whole or sliced. She loves anything with peach flavoring, be it candy or anything of the sort. Currently she is in love with peach milkshakes, though she can't eat too many of them or it makes her sick.

Hated Food: Mattie was raised to not be picky about what she eats (because Preshea hates picky eaters), though she tends to shy away from most fruits other than peaches and the occasional melon or pear. She also seems to not be fond of overly spicy foods, and prefers to eat things that are mellow in taste.

Hobbies:

- playing the piano: Having spent much of her time indoors as a child, Mattie took up playing the piano. Having plenty of free time on her hands because she was unable to go out and play, Mattie became quite good and grew to love playing the instrument. Her very first experience at playing the piano came from the piano at Matthew's chuch, followed by the piano in Preshea's tea room. She practices as often as she can but does not have dreams of becoming a professional piano player or having concerts. Currently Mattie's biggest wish is to have a piano of her own though she's too shy to ask Matthew or Preshea for one for Christmas.

- reading: Another hobby developed in her early childhood, Mattie found her escape through books and quickly took to them like a duck to water. Having found a way to experience things she would never be able to she eagerly devours any book set her way, regardless of the genre. She does have her preferences though, preferring most non-fiction over fiction, and her favorite thing to read has always been her Bible. Mattie doesn't want to write any book of her own, she's not that confident in her abilities nor that creative; she prefers to enter the world that others have made.

- baking: Mattie cannot cook to save her life (she made Matthew get his stomach pumped once or twice) though lessons with Preshea has made her into a somewhat competent baker. Although her snacks and sweets usually come off tasting a little odd the young woman enjoys baking as often as she can, though mostly for her own personal consumption or that of her family; she would never force her horrible baking on a stranger unless they asked for it. Every now and then she'll be asked to make cookies or pies for Preshea's tea room, however such occasions are very rare and usually only occur during times of desperation.

Virtues:

- Have Faith: If Mattie believes in something, her faith in that object or person cannot be swayed no matter the cost or situation. This virtue can double as an occasional vice as it leaves her incredibly naive to most of the world; if someone where to promise her something she would believe and have faith in their words regardless of if they meant to do it or not. However this trait can also be a strength as she will support those that she believes in, never turning her back on them, allowing the object or person to have a stable pillar of support. Having faith also allows Mattie to get through incredibly rough periods of time in her life (or the lives of others) without giving up or backing down.

Should Mattie actually find out that someone she believed in completely lied to her, or her faith was in something false, she would go through several stages of denial. At first she would outright deny that she was lied to and ignore the person who suggested such a thing. The second stage would involve her weeping as she comes to terms with such things, devastation usually the best way to describe her mood, and she cannot be comforted until she discovers a path on her own. The third and final section of her denial is actual acceptance and eventual forgiveness. Mattie believes entirely in forgive and forget, which allows people to take advantage of her more than once.

- They Say It's a Virtue: If modesty is considered a virtue then Mattie has it in spades, the young woman hiding most of her body and much of her personality. Able to take a compliment, she would rather accept it quietly and with as little hurrah as possible, content to pass on the praise to someone she feels is more worthy; she doesn't mind downplaying her accomplishments if they allows someone else to have the spotlight. Her modesty extends into her clothing and actions, never allowing herself to be seen with bare wrists or ankles, and she will go out of her way to change in a place where no one else can watch her.

Mattie actually doesn't mind how others dress, it's just her own personal preference (it's actually Preshea's, but whatever). She enjoys watching people dress in whatever they feel comfortable wearing, though whenever massive amounts of flesh are shown she gets uneasy and usually has to dismiss herself. While she believes that some levels of modesty should be maintained, Mattie knows that level of modest and comfort depend on each individual person.

- I will succeed: Having been sick most of her life and told she was unable to do many things, Mattie developed a sense of determination that echos quietly within her. Unwilling to back down from something she knows she can do (and sometimes things she knows she really can't do), she is possessed with a sense of quiet determination that keeps her going no matter the circumstances and the outcome. Her semi-stubbornness sometimes clashes with her sickness and she is unable to do what she wanted, even if she was originally able to, but Mattie still will try to get things done even if she has to take a different route to get to her original destination.

Mattie is easily told she cannot accomplish something on her own and therefore she is unafraid to ask for help if it is something she honestly cannot ever do by herself, allowing her to have a dependence on others that prevents her from becoming prideful and refusing the assistance of others.

Flaws:

- Those who do not believe. . .: Mattie is a bigot; she looks down on those who do not believe in God. While she may still be kind to them there will always be a wall between her and the "non-believers" and after a while she will actually try to convert those people over to her faith. She generally leaves those who already have a religion alone, though she believes that only her God is the true God and prays that in time they will change their ways.

When confronted with a person she cannot convert, or someone who gets very upset at her beliefs, Mattie will actually back off from her stance. She isn't really that preachy and won't push her luck on those who show extreme dislike for what she believes in, thereby allowing her to communicate with others and not make a situation uncomfortable. She has been in situations before that have gotten violent, mostly through someone pushing or shoving her while shouting about her Faith being a lie, and therefore Mattie is very, very careful about keeping her opinions on her faith to herself once she finds out where a person stands.

In regards to Mattie's views on homosexuality, she is conflicted due to the acceptance of it in her faith. While she reluctantly accepts her aunt as being a lesbian (Preshea has always been one since Mattie was very little so she knows no other), she frowns on it with others and does not approve. She is not at all vocal in such views, as she knows the pain it can cause others to be openly discriminated upon, but she does not believe that homosexuality is a correct way of life. This does not mean she dislikes those who are homosexual, it just means she prays for them a bit more.

- It's a Health Issue: Born into a sickly body, Mattie is unable to do many things that an average youth her age should be able to do. While generally considered a physical problem, Mattie's frailty doubles over into much of her personality and how she handles herself around others. Generally alienating herself from the rest of her class, she is unable to participate often in group sports and therefore lets her team down. She is considered more of a liability to whatever group she is placed in because of her inability to keep up and do manual labors, while sick days and absence from school prevent her from completing projects on time.

Mattie is actually not ill enough to be given a pass from her gym classes; consider her more a young woman who is more likely to get sick easier than her fellow students. She was born with a weak constitution and spent much of her childhood in and out of the hospital thanks to common colds turning out much worse for her. Mattie gets tired faster than the average child her age as well.

- I Believed You: Mattie is incredibly naive to most of the world, having been sheltered from a young age, and is likely to believe anything anyone tells her. She has a particular weakness of hard-luck or outright sob stories, prompting her to try and do something to fix people's luck for them. She is easily duped out of her money this way, or has projects pushed onto her that she can't complete on her own. If Mattie has been lied to about something in her youth then she is likely to believe it until she is told otherwise, resulting in an awkward moment of acceptance.

Mattie is naive enough to be lead by the nose several times by the same person, though eventually it will take someone having to sit her down and explain things to her to have her stand up for herself. She will tell someone she refuses to accept their words after that point in time, even if she has forgiven them multiple times, and from then on she will take what they say with a grain of salt. It is very easy to gain Mattie's trust on the first try though once her trust is lost it is nearly impossible to gain back on effort alone.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Eyes: Mattie's eyes are chipmunk brown in color, often considered a rich chocolate brown. They are rather large, round and worldly, giving her a look as though she's seen too much for her years. They are rimmed with dark circles because of her poor health, though otherwise they look healthy enough.

Hair: Fire-hydrant red in color, Mattie's natural shade is so vivid that it has occasionally prompted questions as to whether or not she has dyed her hair (she hasn't). Her hair is about waist length and is slightly curly; she wears it up in either two braids (while in class) or a loose bun (while relaxing)

Face: Mattie has a heart-shaped face with a rather small nose that sits squarely in the center of her face. Her ears are average sized and are not pieced. She has full lips that are usually parted, giving her a surprised expression.

I really like Mattie. I can definitely imagine her as the senshi of faith and her traits mesh well together. ^^

Although, I think a bit more elaboration on her hobbies would be nice? Hobbies are an easy way to make RP ideas, so adding some tidbits about how people could interact with Mattie through her hobbies might be useful.

I would also like to agree that her "Have Faith" seems to be coming off as a flaw. Since you have 3 flaws, you could easily make a 4th flaw explaining how her faith can come off as a flaw and then explain more on how her faith is a virtue.

The second paragraph of "I will succeed" also strikes me more as a flaw than a virtue. Perhaps you could somehow incorporate into another flaw/make another. However, I really like that you show the positives and negatives a particular trait!

The 2nd and 3rd paragraphs Mattie's "Those who do not believe . . ." does not strike me as a flaw, but more like background information relating to this trait.

Regarding her attacks, would you mind explaining how they connect to her sphere/write it so that they obviously connect to faith? Right now she seems more like the senshi of defense/shields.

Her eternal attack should also be different from her normal/super attacks rather than an upgrade of them. Such as how Sailor Venus first uses Crescent Beam/Crescent Beam Shower and later on uses Venus Love-Me Chain. Both attacks are noticeably different from each other. However, her attacks don't seem overpowered and look just right me. :>

Mattie is a lovely character and her profile was a great read. I think you just need a few tweaks to make her even better. ^^
