Orion felt like he had been stampeded over. He didn't understand it, he had had so much energy at the ball, where did it all go? Forcing his eyes open he looked around for Devi who was still tucked under his arm. He knew he should move his arm but his whole back hurt whenever he moved.
"Why is it I'm always saving you?" He smiled, teasing her even though he was exhausted. A thought occurred to him suddenly. "Why didn't you leave when the rest of the civilians did? Why stay?" Gathering his energy he managed to slither his arm away from her shoulders and then slowly slid down the side of the building until he was sitting on the concrete. His back was screaming at him, but his legs were relieved. For a moment he wondered about his teammates and thought about calling them, but no. They'd call him if there was trouble, and it wasn't like he could exactly help out in any useful way.

Devi was hardly awake, she felt just as inexplicably tired as Sailor Orion did. She rested on the concrete for a few seconds and then picked herself off the ground and leaned back against the wall to support her body. She was so tired, but fought through it.
"You're my hero," Devi teased back, doing her best to force a weak smile. She couldn't just answer his question. So she told simply a half-truth. "I was afraid, but I hid in a closet. I didn't know what was going on. I poked my head out when I heard that...that woman cackling and then I saw you."
Devi felt her body ready to topple over. She placed her hands down flat on the ground to keep her body steady. "And then you saved me. What was that all about anyways? What is going on?"

Orion grinned at her words, yup he was a hero...at least he was when she didn't really know who he was. Her explanation made sense he supposed, if he was a girl and wasn't a senshi he'd probably hide in a closet too.
Slowly he brought his legs up so that he could rest his arms on his knees, his head leaning back against the wall. "Those are the bad guys, they're trying to take over the world, or something." He didn't want to go into too much detail. He knew from the movies that those who knew too much usually ended up dead. "It's a never ending battle, but they're usually not quite that bad."
He paused a moment and then rolled his head to look over at her. "So...did your boyfriend ditch you again when things got dicey?" Of course he knew she hadn't gone to the Masquerade with him, and that they had broken up. But, Orion wouldn't know that so he had to pretend.

"Nope, no boyfriend here," she grinned, nearly laughing as she started to slide further toward the ground than she already was. She was at the point of exhaustion where she felt drunk, or at least, deliriously happy. Her words were nearly slurring. "I dumped him. Back to being single again."
Not wanting her body to fall any further to the ground, she allowed herself to topple over - onto Sailor Orion. She rested her head on his shoulder, and made herself comfortable. "You're a cozy pillow," she thought aloud as she looked up at him. He was rather handsome, and obviously was able to protect her. Its a shame he only shows up when there is danger, she thought.

"Oh really?" He managed to fake being surprised pretty well he thought. "Poor guy, must've been heartbroken." He watched as she began to slid towards the ground and the corner of his mouth quirked up in a smile. The girl looked like she was just about to pass out. He thought about offering to walk her home, but he was just as tired as she was and honestly didn't think he could get up quite yet.
When Devi toppled over Orion had barely any time to react, just able to slide his arms off his knees as she fell into the crook between his thighs and his chest. One arm slid around her back, and the other over her waist holding her close. "Comfortable then?" His smile grew and a gloved hand reached up so that he could run his fingertips lightly across her cheek. His silver eyes stared into her maroon ones, curious. He shouldn't do what he wanted to do. It'd be wrong, making a move on her without telling her he was actually her ex-boyfriend. But...he couldn't help it, he had missed Devi since she dumped him, and while it hadn't given way to stalker-like tendencies he wasn't going to pass up this opportunity.
Leaning in he paused when his face was inches above hers. "You can use me as a pillow whenever you want." It wasn't a very good pick up line, hell it wasn't even really a pick up line, but his brain had seemed to stall on him. His eyes flicked from her eyes, to her lips, and then back again before he closed the space between them. He pressed his lips against hers softly at first, not wanting to scare her off his lap. Not that he thought either could move that quickly, but on principle he didn't want to just shove his tongue down her throat.

Devi had never really been kissed before. Damian had kissed her, once, on the chin. But she's never had that real first kiss before, that magical first kiss - but this certainly fit the description. She felt her face flush as he kissed her, and she let him. She placed her hand to the side of his face and kissed him back, not wanting the moment to end. This is the part where he pulls out his fangs, bites into her neck, and drains her blood, right? Cause it was definitely some kind of fantasy. She was kissing a ******** superhero.
"Buhr, bloo, bah," she stammered as she broke away from the kiss with a stupid grin. It was as though was so caught up in the moment, she completely forgot the mechanics of language. "I mean. I might have to call for you as a pillow more often." She couldn't help but smile and lean in for another kiss.

Orion remembered when he had kissed Devi's chin as Damian, and this kiss was nothing like that kiss. That kiss was teasing and lighthearted. This kiss was intense and consumed him. His hand slid from her cheek to the side of her neck, and his other arm tightened around her.
His eyes were slow to open as she pulled away, and her first incoherent sounds made him laugh. "I concur." His thumb rubbed against her jawline and he grinned at her words. "I'd give you my number, but I don't think I'm on your phone plan." Another bad line, but Orion had pretty much given up thinking, instead he returned her kiss. This time he pressed a little harder, his tongue snaking out to brush against her lower lip questioningly.

Devi let the kiss linger, but knew she had to break away. "Do you remember where I live?" she asked, recalling when he took her home after Damian bailed on her during their first date. "You can find me there whenever you want." It was true, she didn't leave the home that often, typically.
"Speaking of," she said, with regret. She didn't want this to end. "I should be getting home. My parents are going to hear about what happened at the ball, and will start worrying soon." She wanted to kiss him one more time, but she can't get too caught up in him. "Do you think you can help get me home?"

He leaned forwards as she pulled away, extending the kiss for just that much longer, but eventually he had to let it go. His hand stroked her back and he nodded. "I do, I'll have to come throw rocks at your window one of these nights."
The fact that she needed to get home made him frown a bit, but he wiped that off his features quick enough. He couldn't hold her, sitting against a wall for forever. Leaning in he kissed her again, but on the forehead this time. "Of course I can, Dev." He thought about trying to get up and gallantly carry her home, but his body protested even the idea of it.
Instead he started pushing himself up, supporting Devi as he did until they were both standing up. His arm slid from her waist to her hand, lacing their fingers together. "Unfortunately I can't fly, but I can walk you home."

"Walking is fine," she said as Damian helped her up. She fell into his body a bit, warming up against him. "You better throw rocks at my window." She thought about what she was asking - a superhero to throw rocks at her window. "Or, toss them. Something. Don't break my windows."
She laughed, confused by her own thoughts in this state of tiredness. She held his hand as she started to lazily the first few steps home, making sure the walk is slow. She didn't want the night to end just yet, for what an incredible night it had been.
...except the cake monster attack.
