The blue haired female walked slowly through the tall grass of the field still feeling a little down. She hadn’t had a good day in a long time and it was showing. The stress of her parting from her mate was still weighing heavily on her. Some days she couldn’t even think because she thought she found the one for her. What a mistake that turned out to be. She was cast aside and they swore to only remain friends, but that made her uneasy. What if the same thing happened again? What if she fell in love and got broken once more? She wanted to believe that she would never love again, but it would come. In time she would be head over heels with someone again. It was life sadly and she hated it a little. This was the third break to her precious heart, but it didn’t cut as deep as the other two. Though it still hurt since this was going to be the male she was going to have children with. She still felt the stings from the other two before him. They stung and she didn’t think they would ever cease.
For once, she was away from her mountain home. It had been a long time since she traveled down to the plains. It wasn’t something she normally did anymore since she liked her solitude on the lingering mountains in the distance. It was probably because not many ventured up there and she could have some peace and quite. Down below it was like a zoo sometimes. Deer grazing, bunnies jumping about, and sometimes she would see the occasional fox, but nothing too serious. She left Ice at home today. The little wolf was getting to be a bother for her since it was like baby-sitting a child at times. Having a familiar wasn’t all that fun. Though he was very wise and good company when she was alone. It was good practice for when she actually had a family of her own, but it was looking more like it was never meant to happen.
She missed her friends and her family. Thought she missed mostly Calon and Mint, who she would always remember as her son, even though they moved on with their lives. They still were a big part of hers. She would never forget them even though they sometimes bugged her to death. She just smiled slightly remembering them as she brought her muzzle down to the ground sifting the light layer of snow that must have laid over night. She shifted some before walking once more through the grass. The temperature did feel different then what was up on the mountain top. She didn’t mind it too much, but she preferred the cold of the mountain to be honest.
Snorting, she gazed around wishing there was something she could do or someone she could talk to. She needed advice and a way to forget her heartache at the moment. She just needed something. Anything to relieve her of the cold she was beginning to feel once more.
