This RP is between Nightling (Kesmi) and Frost (Divenasmom & Divena) Frost inched forward, stepping carefully over tree roots. The sun was beginning to set, bathing the world in a slightly disturbing crimson glow. The blue Soquili had never much cared for the color red. It always reminded her of blood, which then led her to think of other unpleasant and scary things. Frost wasn't exactly easily scared, or even easily intimidated. But she did have one major phobia that had a way of knocking her hooves out from under her. She was absolutely terrified of dealing with other Soquili. It didn't matter who they were, or what they wanted from her. The very thought scared her so much she lost her voice. And worse, more often than not, they seemed to take that as an invitation to chatter at her. She would never understand that.

Twilight, dawn of the night and its dark blanket of sleep, for most creatures that is. This was the time that a young, well not all that young, mare found herself biding family good night as they took wing for home. Curse her for not having the same means of travel, but her copper colored hooves suited the mare. With her blue and white horn aglow in the fading light. Letting her colors blend into the shadows, though the green streaks along her lets and torso flickered within the dimming light. Stopping a moment, she thought she had heard something, someone in the darkness. Pale eyes watching the shadows her horn giving its same dim glow.
"Hello?" her soft voice carrying along the shadows like a sneaking cat. "Someone there?" With ears flicking from side to side, Nightling turned towards where she thought she had heard the shuffling steps of someone else. Then again the night time brought out many that had a thing against the sunlight. She enjoyed both, though at times it wore her out worse then over eating.

At the sound of the mare's voice, Frost squeaked and ducked behind a tree. Blast, why was it that she couldn't seem to go anywhere without meeting someone new?
"N...n...no!" she stammered out, only realizing once the word was out that she probably should have stayed quiet. Ah well, maybe her voice was too soft to be heard.

A quick motion and a rustle of under growth, there certainly was someone there, someone wanting to hide it seemed. Craning her neck a little to one side, her ears listening. Her answer came in a soft voice, soft, perhaps small? Shaking her head, Nightling started walking towards the location of the voice. "Why not come out? No one here but us and the darkness." her neck still craning to one side. Stopping a moment, she lit the distance be enough, hoping the holder of the soft voice didn't turn tail and flee like there were a Kalona upon it.

As the light surrounded her, Frost let out a soft yelp and tried to back away, only to bump into the tree she'd been hiding behind. Blast her clumsiness! "P...p...please don't h...h...hurt me," she squeaked, ducking her head.

Nightling blinked and watched this strange mare that came within range of her horn's light. They were a strange one, and frightened worse then a newling. Giggling a little and shaking her head, thus causing the light to drift. "I won't hurt you, even though there are many around that might have that intention. Please, calm yourself, you are safe." she wanted to try and calm the mare. She had once been scared like this one, but over came her fear, only to know that there might be more out there that would cause for... What was she thinking, there wasn't much out there that did frighten the mare. Being one who was boarder lined of both 'kinds'.
"Though, may I ask why one like yourself is out in these parts? You don't look like the kind that would wander into a forest domain of kalona." she tilted her head, her braided mane shifting itself across her neck, now thinking she had said too much. That might have been one of her problems, her tongue was always wagging.

"K...k....k....kalona?" she squeaked. Oh that did it... she felt faint. How has she wandered into the worst possible forest she could?

(( Hey, can you please post her speech in normal font? The Kes has bad eyes and I don't like quoting each post to see what's being said. Much thanks if you can. ^^ ))
Nightling was to the mare's side as she seemed to waver. Standing close she watched the strange mare carefully, her head tilting. "That's right, this place seems to have a lot of them and most come out at this time." She spoke looking around before nudging the mare gently. "If this place scares you that much, I can take you some where safer. It's high above this forest, where the moon shines clearly." Nightling offered as her tail flicked lightly, though it thumped accidentally against the tree they were near.
With ears alert, she was ready for most things, but thought it best that she get the mare to somewhere safer. Now that she was closer, she took note of the mare's strange 'appearances'. She thought it strange for a mare to have a rigid back of what looked like crystals and long ears. Nightling shook her head, she had met a few strange creatures, but all unique in their own right.

(Sorry x.x I only do it that size to show that she's mumbling and speaking softly. I can make it a regular size, so long as you take it as assumed that it's still hard to hear her)
Frost jumped at the thumping sound the other mare's tail made, and tried to inch away. She debated turning and making a run for it, but then that would just leave her stranded, alone, in a dangerous forest. For whatever reason, this mare seemed to want to help her. Or at least get her somewhere safer. But could she really trust the other mare? Frost wasn't certain. Well, all else failed, she could run.
"O...o...o...ok...kay," she mumbled.

[[ no need to worry. ^^ I have been doing this for a long time, so I can tell what's happening. ]]
A sigh escaped the mare as the other moved away again, after jumping no less. With a shake of her own head, Nightling stood her ground, waiting. When it seemed that all was calm, she looked over the mare's back towards the direction she had been heading before all this. "My home is over that way" She pointed with her nose. "Though there are two entrances, we shall be taking the hidden one, Safer and quicker then the ledge climb."
Shifting around behind the tree, Nightling appeared on the other side as to guide the mare. "By the way, my name's Nightling, It's a pleasure to me you, miss."

She jumped again when the mare reappeared on the other side of the tree. She mumbled something nonsensical before realizing that the mare had introduced herself. Right. She should respond to that, shouldn't she?
"F...f....f...frost."

Nightling felt like she had been knocked upside the head with this one. A stubborn look over came her face as this mare, Frost as she had called herself acted much like a foal on its mother's teat. Shaking her head in a violent stroke Nightling turned and headed away from Frost, a sigh escaping her lips. "Well, come long Frost, the sun is gone and night has begun. Those of the time should be coming out. I doubt you would want to remain here." Her tone had a sort of firm edge to it, one she hadn't meant to add, but she didn't know.
Wandering away from Frost, she headed towards what looked like a straight up and down cliff face that was covered with climbing ivy rooted within its many cracks. Stepping off to one side, she looked back to Frost had followed, or fled. The calm facade had replaced itself over her features making it seem she had never had the small outburst at all. "Come along, this way." she said looking towards what seemed like solid wall, covered in ivy.

Frost flinched, realizing she had annoyed the mare. Well, what did she expect? All Soquili got annoyed with her eventually. There was a reason she didn't socialize when she could avoid it. Still, she didn't have much of a choice, so she followed the other mare, her ears flicking back and forth as she tried to catch every sound.

Nightling wasn't exactly annoyed with the mare per-say, even if she acted like it. She pitied her more then anything else. Always being so jumpy and afraid of everything. Looking away as Frost approached, she revealing the cavernous opening behind the green curtain. "This way, its a bit narrow the further up you go, but it will be fine." Nightling smiled her normal, calm and pristine smile trying to encourage Frost not to be so skittish. "Those of the Forest know not of this path, Even with all the times I have fled into it, the trees seem too thick." Holding back the Ivy, she took a couple steps away from the opening.
"You first, I'm going to make sure that evidence is erased." Nightling wanted to make sure that none would be able to follow, she had a couple ideas on what could/would follow if given the chance. Hooves did have a tendency to leave great marks in the ground and firm trails. "And don't be frightened if small pits in the walls light up, the glow worms and lightening bugs are quite harmless. They will aid in traversing the passage, even if there is only one way to go."

She peered down the path uncertainly. "G...g...glow wo...worms?" she mumbled. That sounded... different. Hesitantly, she took a step into the darkness and inched forward, glancing over her shoulder once to make sure Nightling was following.
