My sister, Sarah, is 20 years old and smokes, hears voices, sometimes sees things out of the corner of her eye, and is very gullible.

She's the one I ranted about not taking care of her animals, but now I'm not feeling anger towards her. I'm worried about her. v.v She see's a councler, which is very good, but still....

She met this person online, and they said they'd both shave their heads and the person would pay her. The person never shaved their head, but my sis did. And this has happened more then once. She's gullible. I'm scared she might trust a person online or something with more then just shaving their heads....

Her friend recently died in a car accident. Sarah told my mom(which I overheard) that she keeps having a nightmare, where her friend is screaming and her eyes are bleeding. I don't even have to explain why I'm worried about this.

A few years back, she overtook some medicine. We don't know if it was by accident or on purpose, but an ambulance came and stuff. She survived, but I'm scared she'll eventually do something similar again, if she did it on purpose.

Not too long ago, our grandmother died. Sarah was very close to her, so it was extremely difficult for her. I'm happy that grandma isn't suffering anymore. See, she had three strokes before she left us. The first one we didn't really notice, but she seemed a little...odd. Like, she was trying to put dishes under the table O_o Then she had the second one, and went to an old people home, where she was cared for. She could still talk a little and move. But then, grandma had her third one. Grandma couldn't move, talk, or even eat. Whether she was even concious and remembering us when we visited, we have no idea. So I'm happy she isn't suffering. However, I can't read Sarah's thoughts on it....

Sigh....Thank you all for listening-or, reading. I just had to get this out. V.V

i think that the best thing you can do is let your sister know that your there for her. i had a friend who got hit by a train a couple yars ago and the worst thing my family did was ignore that it happened and got mad at me when i refused to do simple things like household chores. i just wanted to push the pause button on my life and leave it like that forever. everytime someone close to me has died i feel a little more like im nearing my breaking point and thats probably how your sister feels. nightmares after something horrible are normal and once she starts feeling normal again they should lessen

I'm sowwy :c
No offense to you're family when I say this, but they were jerks by ignoring it. Truth be told, I would probably start cutting myself if I had been in that situation (friend died, family ignoring me). Heck, I'm probably depressed right now. No idea why. You're very strong since you were able to pull through that. You're friend's in a better place now, watching over you.
*huggies*

Sawa(what I call her) knows we're here for her.
But the problem is that she trusts friends-most likely including people she just met-more then family x_x

She really only tells stuff to my brother Ryan. :c
And he tells some stuff to us.
He's 17, by the way.

i'm sorry about your grandma. it's good that you're concerned about your sister. she's going through a tough time and she needs support. something you may want to think about is getting her into some type of program. my little brother tried to kill himself last year, he hung his self in the basement but the cord didn't hold and he fell. it took quite a few people to convince her, but we got my mom to bring him to the hospital for an evaluation. he had to go into the mental hospital ward of a hospital for a few weeks, but in the end they put him in a program that taught him skills to help cope with his problems in better ways than anger or self harm. he's been a lot better since then. before that he was very abusive towards me (physically) but now he's a lot more chill. they had him on some meds for a while but that stuff turned him into a zombie and I don't recommend that route unless necessary. but yeah, learning coping skills and maybe teaching her better judgement somehow will help. also maybe for the time being monitoring what she does online.

i dont think my family are jerks for it, thats just how we deal with pain, we bury it and try to forget. when my mother died none of us talked to each other about it, we just cried on our own and pretended like everything was normal when we were together. and im not a strong person at all, im just extremely lucky to have a best friend who can always tell when im not happy.

and no offense taken, i know that me and my family seem cold and heartless when it comes to emotional stuff but thats just because we dont know how to comfort or talk to others about sadness.

I am very sorry for your loss.

You could tell your mom that you're worried about your sister, or even talk to your sister about it. She might not want to talk about it, but hearing that you're worried for her might make her think more about how her family's feeling and less about suicide. I was suicidal in my teens and I only hung on because of my family.

You could even try talking to a school counselor or going to see a counsellor outside of school yourself. If worst comes to worst and you're worried it's an emergency, then you can try to get your sister hospitalized and on suicide watch for a few days, where she won't be left alone.

I hope everything turns out okay.

@Shanna:
Oh. Either way, I'm sorry. : (

@Vanilla:
Oh man, I hope he never tries anything like that again! D:

See, the thing is....Well, my sister....She's crazy. I know I might be exagerating, but she hears VOICES in her head. And she SEES things out of the corner of her eye. Besides the nightmares, she's as normal as she can get. I think Sarah's still in denial that her friend died. My mom says there's a few stages of when someone dies: Shock, denial, depression, anger. When she heard about it, I definetly think it was in shock mode. I mean she ran downstairs and was like: SAMMIE'S DEAD.

At first I thought it was her girlfriend, Sammie(yeah, Sarah's lesbian. If anyone has a problem with that, your headless corpse will appear on traintracks, and I'll make sure to repeatedly drive that trian over your body over and over again) which would have been extremely hard on me as well, because Sammie isa good friend. But no, it was a different one. The one she had seen very recently.

It's almost impossible to describe my sister....I've done the best I can.

As for the school councler, I homeschool, and another thing with Sarah is that she can't stay with school for a whole semester =.=
