In the darkness there seemed to have been a faint red glow that lingered on the ground, trailing behind after the sound of heavy footsteps and breathing which sounded hard in the almost dead silence. The footsteps stopping the beast had finally found a place to rest himself. His tail giving a whip like lash, causing an echoing sound as it hit the hard bark of a tree sending splinters of it scattering into the air. The red glow lingered and gathered now, giving the area around the form and eerie and violent aura. Yawning, fangs were greeted by the cool and crispness of the night air before the jaws quickly snapped shut. The beast was bored, it'd been awhile since he'd had any form of entertainment to occupy his time. Hopefully some other creature would stray into his grasp sometime soon.

The dark horses head lifted as his crimson glowing eyes gazed off into the distance at a sudden sound. He could not tell exactly where it was coming from but he knew it meant that there was something or somebody out there in the general area. Getting to his feet once again his wing's gave a heavy beat as his eyes scanned the area around him, ears swirling around high on his head trying to pick up remnants of the sounds. Figuring he had picked up where it was coming from he slowly stalked off in that direction, once again leaving a trail of glowing and eerie footprints once again. Soon, soon he thought to himself, soon I will have something to entertain myself with. Walking with his head hung low in a lazy manner, his long mane was almost brushing against the ground as he walked.

"Talk to their mums? Surely if you were my mother I would be nothing but a weak and frail beast!" Giving his wings a flutter before lifting them into the air some he snapped his teeth at the mare's legs as his head remained low while he circled her. "You may have fangs mare but I have both fangs and horns. I am far more a threat than you at more angles." Leaning his head to the side he let his horns slide along her side, not hard enough to break the skin but with enough pressure to let their danger be known. "One should not tempt the one who has the advantage in an area."

A toothy and devilish grin spread over Shy's face while he stopped right in front of her, lifting his head finally to really show his true size despite swift movement earlier. "No, it makes me a threat with horns young lady. And.. Mother taught me to do as I pleased. I defenseless pray slips into MY territory, why should I hold back from having a little FUN and messing with them hm?" His eyes stared nearly right through here as his gaze fixated on her, his tongue slipping through his lips only to run along them tauntingly. "It is your mistake for not running sooner mare."

Shy smirked, "Why little missy, you have the wrong idea entirely. I don't mark territory in that way. I mark my territory by using what is around me to sharpen my horns. I'm sure you've seen the big gouges in the trees in the area." He gave his tail a harsh flick behind him when she made the taunt about standing still. "If you stand still enough I might get bored and mark you with my horns as well. Though, that would simply dirty the ground of the area! And I can't have my precious home filthy because some snobby guest doesn't know not to enter without warning."
