Uh, I'm not sure if I can classify this as a "bug" or that you can even do anything about it, but maybe you can at least tell me what the problem is.
Console: PS3 (old, fat ginormous model)
Game (might not be a game): N/A
What happened: In the first "situation", the power wouldn't stay on for more than a few seconds. Yes, the machine was plugged in, and yes, the power cord is functional. The red power light was on. Just, when we'd turn it on, it would beep, attempt to start, and then just turn back off. We sent it in for repairs. Upon its return, it was functional for about three days. Then it refused to read any of the discs. The machine turns on and we get to the menu, but any game or movie we put in just wouldn't read. You could hear the disc reading mechanism inside the machine start to work, but the menu just wouldn't show that there's a disc being read. What's up with all that?

Oh, no no, I mean that it's not the new "slim" model. The machine itself is barely a few months old.
