ok why does it seem like all of a sudden I have 10 to 25 people randomly PM-ing me for gold? I think that is so rude and a bit bothersome.

I dont agree i think its worng you ignore them for that matter because most of them if it says the moneys for other people i think you should donate to them why dont you be a miser and just change it to only let friends pm you if you dont want people asking for your helpif your not willing to give it. And no id quite wilfully help them that way when you want gold you wont get it form me if you arent willing to help me.

well when i need gold i go to forums and poll alot or catch fish or bugs make ink and sell them i just don't believe in begging esp when it is so easy to make some cash on here

Alot of pmers asking for gold are nOObs...and they just like to get by for free...

I don't mind if people ask for donations in their sigs, but if someone I don't know ever pmed me for gold I would freak out on them. I can't stand it when people have to beg others for money just cause their to lazy to make their own cash. At Christmas I was going crazy trying to get gold for presents for my friends but I never asked for money. I made sure that I would never ask for donations nor give any to people I don't know. And even if I do know them I hardly ever give money to friends without expecting them to pay me back. It's just something that really pisses me off.

as you guys said, it sucks when they give pm's for gold. it puts you in a kinda akward postion and is plain rude. i have trouble saying no, but i will if they ask. but then my concience bothers me all week about it. its very bothersome. i'll donate for a good reason though. if its a pm saying something like, i agree with you on a topic, wanna question what you meant, extend conversation, want to talk, and stuff like that, then i don't mind in the least bit. smile just gets annoying when they send copies and it fills your box up a lot and you have to reply to them all sad

... and anyways, poll whoring and talking in guilds is so much more exciting than sitting there and going "oh, this person looks like someone who will give me gold" and beg for gold.
