▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
A light breeze gusted by, bringing with it the smell of rain and a promise of an impeding storm. Nightstorm raised his head, sucking in the smell as he stood there atop a cliff, having come here for a gallop. Perhaps if he waited, he could race the storm as he headed home, with lightning flashing behind him as thunder rumbled overhead. He loved the storms which often blew past, abating only when they had spent their fury.
Turning, he started heading back to more solid ground where he wouldn't slip if the rain started falling, as the cliff was treacherous to walk across under normal circumstances, much less heavy rainfall and strong winds.

The rolling of thunder was enough to send a small brightly colored flutter mare running. Bright orange butterfly like wings flailed at her sides as small hooves trampled a small path through the grass. She hated the rain, pale ears flicked backwards as she ran, Jamaica needed shelter. Skidding to a faltering halt at a steep drop, how had she come to be on a cliff she didn't know. Just wandering she supposed. Another thunderclap cleared her head as bright green eyes shot skywards.
"Oh no, oh no, oh no." she panicked racing along the cliff edge, looking like a frightened bug then another Soquili. moistening wings were fluttering uselessly at her shoulders. Just what she needed now, above everything else. "No no, no rain, Jamaica HATES the rain. Hates the wind too." Turning more inland, she didn't exactly see where she was going and headed towards the on coming hooves of another headed in the same direction. If anyone could hear her over the approaching storm, they might just think it was a mouse squeaking. By her lot, everyone seemed to anyways, besides those that wanted to eat her that is..

The world around her came to a crashing halt when the small, tiny, actually, flutter stumbled head over hooves to avoid getting struck by an impressively large, by her standards, rain drop. Shaking her head, she looked up as a voice roared over head, tail tucking itself behind her as she spin and backed away. The giant had asked if she was alright, Jamaica was fine, for the most part. Did she need help? Yes? No? The answers and other thoughts came colliding into each other wanting to be the first ones out over her tongue that she just started babbling.
"Jamaica is fine, just hate the rain. Large rain drops, heavy rain drops coat wing. Making it hard for Jamaica to fly anywhere. To help, Jamaica don't know, some yes some no and... Eeeeeeeeeeeee!" she squealed as another drop landed cold on her back and she dashed forwards and around behind the stranger's hoof. Peering out she looked to where she had been standing now damp from the onslaught of rain that was still falling and coming harder. "Jamaica don't like this weather at all, nope nope nope." she shook her head, letting it droop in a downcast look, with her ears laying back.

The small mare tumbled head over hooves, making Nightstorm smile in amusement as he watched her. She was so tiny when compared to him or anything else, but she was pretty. Bending his head as the mare babbled about her dislike of the rain adn wind, he could understand her feelings. She was tiny, and to him the raindrops were tiny. But to her, it was another thing. They were about as heavy as she was. A loud squeal cut off her sentence as she dashed to hide behind his hoof, safe from the rain. His lips quirking slightly, Nightstorm bent his head to see her.
"Well, I can cover you if you like?" The stallion offered, seeing her downcast look at the prospect of heading out into the rain again. So much for racing the storm home, but perhaps it would be worth it. A few raindrops slid down his mane, making it wet as the rain continued to fall from the iron skies.

For a split second she had forgotten where she was, what with the rain being shed away from her own small body by the larger stranger. Looking up again, bright eyes as wide as they could possibly go, she looked like someone were about to eat her in one mouthful. "Giant no going to eat Jamaica?" she asked, rather shouted half in fright, half in pure curiosity. Head tilting, she took a small step away from the larger hoof, though minding to not step back out into the rain again. Oh she hated the rain, loathed it even. When she was offered shelter, she didn't know what to think, nor what to really say.
"For, a time... Until big leaves appear then Jamaica will be alright... She thinks so anyway." Looking around where they were, it was all open ground. There wasn't much here for her to hide beneath and even more so away from the winds that were sure to blow up here. Jamaica vaguely remember someone saying that cliffs were the worst places to be in the wind... But she couldn't remember who said it, a blurry face came to mind one that she should have known. "Faces, too many faces, too blurry to see." she said squinting as it they were right in front of her.

Jamaica was snapped out of her trance, if that is what one wanted to call it as the stallion started speaking once again. She had heard his name, well barely heard it, Nightstorm, it was a nice name. Then there was the other fragmented talk she had caught, flutter? Mare? Well, mare she new cause she was a girl after all, but this flutter thing, she wasn't quite sure where that all can into play. Stopping a moment, she just stared up at the giant that she tread under.
"Jamaica know Jamaica is a mare, but what is this flutter? Jamaica don't know what that is, never seen one before. Are they giant like you?" Those bright green eyes blinked a couple of times before her tiny hooves scampered to put herself back into step. "Jamaica glad to meet Nightstorm, and Jamaica is Jamaica, no one else." She smiled, closing her eyes for a moment before opening them again. "Do you live around here Nightstorm? It nice place, though too windy and Jamaica hates the wind. And rain, and dark clouds like those over head." Jamaica looked out from under her 'shelter' towards the skies as the rain was utterly pouring and the ground was getting wet and small puddles looked almost like lakes or ponds to her. "Wish it would all go away" Jamaica pouted looking at the puddles in fear.

She just wished that they would get somewhere where the water wouldn't reach. Shaking her head and wings fluttering the dampness from their lacing. Jamaica lifted herself a couple inches off the ground to move a little faster. She watched to be where there was shelter from the rain and wind. As the lightening started to flash, Jamaica yelped and vanished beneath a corner of whatever it was on Nightstorm's back. "Rain make Jamaica's wings go all soggy, take days to dry out and even then might not work. Why Nightstorm like the rain? Nothing good come from it." she shuddered from her new hiding place.
Small head poking out from beneath the blanket, Jamaica looked around from this vantage point. It was high of the ground, her wings making the cloth bellow out a little as she remained aloft. Though it was a little wetter up here, it was warmer then the ground and the wind wasn't so bad. It was only now that the words of what a flutter was sank in. Giving her something to think about, she was something like a flutter she supposed. Jamaica hadn't seen many flutters, actually she remembers never seeing one before, besides the one in her own reflection. But right now, she hadn't the time to think, she just wanted to be somewhere safe, wam and out of everything.
