Alright, I'm just beginning to draw things that aren't in drawing books. As in, I'm not following things step-by-step anymore, and I was hoping I could get some opinions on my first two drawings. One's my avi, and another is my friend's. Naturally, she changed her avi, so I can't show you what the original looked like for comparisons.
Basically, what I'm asking is, what could use fixing? Example: I know I messed up on my friend's avi, because the hand looks messed up. How could I fix that?Friend AviMy Avi

Well on your friend's avi here is what you need to focous on. : Proportions. - that is a big thing. you pretty much got it down but you need alittle more work. Things that could help with proportions is drawing a base body or uhmm stick figure ( not regular stick figures) like the ones you see in books. Hands.- Some things you cand do for hands is drawing a box then drawing lines out from it making a rough sketch of how the hand might look like in this picture.
Anything else that you want advice on if this isnt enough? I'd be glad to try and help

the porportion need some work but it's a good start. with more practice like look at your own hand or take a picture in that pose and try to draw it. There is nothing better then to have a real life subject to pose in the way you want it to look. Or have handy a mirror to see where the hand would look like in that pose. Sometimes a figurine or action figure helps.
