 Nos tore into the delicate flesh of a freshly killed deer. His stomach had been empty for days it seemed, he couldn't get enough meat in his mouth quick enough. Blood covered his muzzle and paws as he ripped the sweet bits of meat from the bones he would soon be chewing on. The hunt had been exhilarating, but the kill, oh he loved the kill. The adrenaline was still rushing through his body, a low rumble escaped his throat every time he bit into the body of his meal. He knew he was a savage, and he was proud of it.

Felise had been hunting smaller game, and was on her way to a familiar safer place with her kill. Taking the route that she found less company on. Which had her bounding through the low tree branches with a dead racoon in her jaws, agile and light as the cat she was as she bounded easily through the lower canopy. Not having felt the need for a big meal, having had fun playing with and killing a soquili the night before last, she had gorged herself then and so had taken a much smaller meal today. After all you never wasted a kill and taking down another large prey would have been a waste, especially as you also never shared.
It was as she was bounding along that she cast a brief glance at Nos, only so much as in making note there was a male of her kind around and with a kill, that usually made them more dangerous. She kept going, the gold ring on her tail flashing as she vanished along the trees. There was a chance that the male hadn't even noticed her, or if he had he might think her a domestic cat as most did, to their misfortune. She didn't want to be bothered with her kill, small though it was it was all she needed for the day.
Not stopping till she made it to a familiar tree, it reeked of her scent, she was often here after a kill, this was the first time she had brought a small one back to eat. Settling on her favoured branch and starting to eat, having cast a wairy eye around the small area the tree sat in. She didn't want company, she didn't like it as a rule, after all her own kind were as big a threat to each other as anyone else, they usually only tolerated each other long enough to breed and she wasn't looking for that not that it mattered, she wasn't in heat anyway otherwise she might have spared the male more than a glance, stupid hormones.

Nos had indeed missed the female as she had bounded through. He was focused on eating...For the time being that kept any other creatures around him safe. Once he was done devouring what his belly could hold, he sat back on his haunches, blood dripping from his muzzle as he lazily licked his front paws.
As he sat there cleaning, an unfamiliar scent passed that caught his nose. Curiously, his golden eyes looked around for any movement in the brush. His eyes caught a glimpse of some tree limbs -just- moving so as though he had just missed something going by.
He growled lowly, he was not one to intruders in his space. Quietly he rose and began to make his way through the underbrush, following the scent that had caught his nose.

In the time it had taken Nos to finish his food and start following her, (not that she knew that) she had finished her meal and had taken the kills carcas well away and dumped it. Having left little to nothing eddible but it would still attract scavingers and other pests so she had taken it off a way and dumped it where she wouldn't be bothered and headed back to her tree. Settling content she began cleaning herself, an ear flicking as she listens out for anything that would disturb her, unaware the male had picked up her scent when he was done with his meal and was now following her.
It not taking her long to get clean, lazing with her tail tucked under her, enjoying the silence and the solitude after her meal.

Nos followed the scent through the thicket, it was a strange scent mingled with the iron smell of blood. Carefully placing one paw before the other, he crept along. Finally, he caught glimpse of something small and white, it was an odd looking feline. Not normally a curious creature, Nos couldn't help but to wonder.
Suspecting that the other feline could be more than it looked, Nos decided to lay in wait. Shifting his own self into his smaller form, he was able to maneuver and hide in some nearby bushes. If she were to look, she would probably see two golden eyes peering out at her. He watched as the feline cleaned herself, seemingly having just ate a meal as well.
After watching for only moments, Nos moved from his place in the bushes. His cat form exited the shadows and moved towards the other feline, almost stalking her already. "Dangerous to travel alone..." his words trailed off as he sized her up.

Felise had gone on alert when she herd some leaves rustle, mostly because whatever it was had taken its time to stay silent, the leaves being fickle had not stayed silent. Having stopped cleaning herself she shifted position from laying to a crouched balance on the branch, peering at the offending bush keenly. Looking rather unhappy as a white tiger padded out of the bush, the male... what was he doing here... Making a low warning noise as her teeth bared at him, clearly far from happy to have company.
"Heed your own advice..." Smaller than Nos by about a head, though it was hard to tell with her crouched in a tree. she lacked the large saber fangs he had, and generally looked like a very large pet cat, though her reply made it clear she was not a normal cat. She didn't look very dangerous, though she did look very pissed off. But then that was the whole beauty of it, her looks were all part of her game with the prey. Glaring down at him, not about to ask what he wants as that might make him think she cared, or that he was welcome, both were foolish notions. Neither did she leave, she was here first, besides leaving would be seen as running away and she was not one to run away. So she stayed and glared at him, blue to gold.

He laughed at the female's words. "Do you think you intimidate me?" He stalked closer to her, he would make her eat her own ignorance. How dare she speak to him in such a manner. "I'll have you for my next meal if you dare to challenge me,"
He bare his teeth further, his fur standing up on end. "What are you doing in my territory?" he would give her only one change to leave, and that was only because he had just eaten. Had it been before his meal, she wouldn't have gotten that much.

Looking down at the male still she looked unimpressed, though he was big, she would have to be careful. His primping amused her, his territory hmm, it hadn't smelt like his, but either way she was here now and he could puff up all he wanted she wasn't going to just wander off because he thought he was all that.
Her claws digging into the branch a little still glaring at him, she challenge him, he had come looking for her... the idiot. Pondering her chances of winning a fight, he was bigger but she had to hope that being smaller also made her faster. Debating quietly to herself as she glared at him finally deciding she wasn't going to back down to this... male....
Shaking her head just enough, her eyes not leaving him. "No this is my territory, untill you turned up now I've not smelt your stink in all the time I've been here so just go back to wherever you usually are." Her tone sounding vaguely bored, this was going to turn into a fight, she could feel it and that meant two things, winning or loosing, and she hated to loose, though if... IF she did loose the male would not get any peace till she had kicked him down a few pegs.

This female just pissed him off. Any territory that he claimed as his was his, this female didn't understand the way things worked, apparently. He would have to show her that her smart mouth would not be tolerated in his area, especially by him.
Quickly he bound up the tree, lunging for the female on the limb:

Felise gave a pissed off mewl as he actually knocked her off the branch, not that it was an issue, she landed easily on her feet and moved far enough away so he couldn't pounce on her from above and pin her. Not stopping she bounded up the next tree as fast as she could and then along a branch that overhung the one she had been on. Pouncing off of it with no hesitation, she was either going to knock him off or pin him to the branch. Maybe she would get lucky and do both.... Taking a bit of a libity here, no first dice as I cant see her missing the branch totally. If you disagree just let me know and I'll re-roll. 1- Lands on the limb inches from Nos. 2- Knocks Nos off the limb but stays on it herself. 3- Knocks Nos off the limb & pins him on the ground. 4- Lands on Nos & Pins him to the branch. 5- Lands heavy on the branch and shakes Nos off. 6- Lands on Nos & Pins him to the branch.

His golden eyes watched the female intently as she fell to the ground just to return up another tree. He braced himself as he saw her ready to leap across back over to him. She was either brave, or stupid... He wasn't sure which one quite yet.
With the female landing just inches from him, he swiped out with one paw:
1- Missing her completely
2- Catching the side of her face, minor
3- Catching the side of her face, moderate
4- Catching her shoulder, minor
5- Catching her shoulder, moderate
6- Catching her by the neck and holding her there.

Felise moved in time to avoid the swipe, surprised at herself having reacted fast enough considering they were so close, but she had and he had missed. Keeping her face from looking smug, provoking him would do no good when they were fighting on such a precarious perch. Instead she lashed out with her paw, black claws extended, her blue eyes about as forgiving as his would be had she missed. There were no second chances after all, at least not in this life. (sorry I nabbed yours) 1- Missing him completely 2- Catching the side of his face, minor 3- Catching the side of his face, moderate 4- Catching his shoulder, minor 5- Catching his shoulder, moderate 6- Catching him by the neck and holding him there.

Damn! He had been too hasty to act and had completely missed the female. She had retaliated and caught his shoulder with her claws. Though her claws dug in deeply, he didn't react to the pain or show weakness. He dug into the limb to maintain his balance, but he wouldn't stay up here for long. The ground was his territory, he was not use to being in the trees.
1- Lunges, knocks her out of the tree, lands on his feet.
2- Lunges, knocks her out of the tree, lands on her.
3- Lunges, knocks her out of the tree, they both land on their feet.
4- Lunges, grabs her by the neck, minor
5- Lunges, grabs her by the neck, moderate
6- Jumps from the tree to the ground.

Felise was not so fast a second time, but then she had no where really to go on this branch. So when he lunged she went off with him, though as usual she landed on her feet. Shifting to face him and attaching again, lunging forwards, paws and claws ready, teeth bared. She could end up doing different things with this attack but it would depend on how she hit him. 1- Pounces and pins him. 2- Misses and but ends up repositioned on his flank. 3- Pounces and pins him, getting her claws in to hold him firm. 4- Pins Nos with her claws but is shaken off. (minor) 5- Lunges, going for his neck, holding him. 6- Lunges and gouges his side with her claws, landing behind him. (moderate)
