Im curious what other people do to make themselves feel better during times of emotional trauma. Since this is something I struggle with myself. I dont mean something temporary or something that just gets your mind off of whatever it is. Something that genuinely makes you feel better. So, what relieves pain/stress for you?

I drink heavily and stop doing my homework. I don't recommend either one.

I tend towards listening to depressing music and sleeping off the emotions.

Oh, I recalled some others. Singing (potentially or directly) violent and thematic songs and having week long fantasies involving combat, torture, murder, and worse are also on the docket, if appropriate. Things like Kenny's death where there's no one or two people to blame are harder, but hating everyone and everything can be remarkably therapeutic. You can't wimp out and spare your pals, though. Then the hate isn't pure. If you have trouble with that part, just remember: just because you hate something doesn't mean that you can't still also love it.

Because I can't drink heavily, I have a tendancy to just hate everyone and everything. Oh, and stop eating. And listen to music. And either scream at everyone or just block them out.

If I earned the karma, it's raining during any of that ridiculous crap, and then I'd skateboard with my dog to calm myself down.
It sooths my soul, but I'm still ready to tear into someone when I get back to my problems. Angry sex helps in end I suppose... ninja

Yeah, playing and singing along with Voltaire and Dr Horrible songs have been something that I've been doing a lot of, even though music isn't usually a terribly large part of my life.

If I'm hurt enough, I tend to completely withdraw myself and go about my daily business as if I were the only one around. I won't so much as look at another person, let alone respond when they attempt to speak with me. I don't sign into any messengers, forums, or anything of the sort. Otherwise, I tend to lash out at people who either don't deserve it. (Or, they've deserved it for a quite sometime but I'm going about it the wrong way or stressing the wrong issue.) Writing lengthy rants help as well.
As for when I'm stressed, everything in my line of vision is usually re-organized and straightened-up. If I can't do that, I usually try to find something to cook or I'll find a game I haven't played in a long time.

I usually just do my normal thing, shut myself alone inside my room and play games while blasting music. Though if I'm upset, the only difference is I will play more violent games, listen to faster music *though I usually listen to semi-fast music*, and eat some candy. neutral I can't drink, and for my own reasons, I refuse to touch even 1 glass of alcohol.

sad you going to be alright? that really stinks. I understand how it goes where i live we run out of food on a monthly basis. i really hope you will be alright. I decided to try watching movies as a way to cheer myself up and while it really depends on the movie. Ive found some success with it. That and imagining throwing water balloons at people using a giant slingshot attached to the roof.
