The park was always a place for an encounter, but Wolframite was looking for new territory. The beautiful thing about being a Negaverser was that the added power boost meant he could get to new areas of the city that he would otherwise need to take a bus if he had just been out of uniform. There was also the added touch of night, which always made the city different. In the past, he would have stuck only to well-lighted, main streets, but he had grown a found appreciation for back alleyways, abandoned lots, and even went so far as to stroll in other people's yards. At night, everything was left and all owners and visitors were sleeping. The only people he encountered were the ones that were up to no good, and those met his starseed quota.
A new spot he liked to visit was a playground. Sometimes random thugs and delinquents would make deals here and drunkards would collapse in the sandbox. For Wolfram, he was 'cleaning up' these spots so some little 5 year old wouldn't come to play and find some booze-hound face down in the mulch.
And, as a guilty pleasure, the playground made him feel nostalgic. Swings. Seesaws. Slides. Sand. He remembered being little and being afraid of the jungle gym, and yet now, perked above it, he leisurely looked up at the sky and breathed out. Two starseeds rested in his pocket, the bodies long since disposed of, and he felt good about himself. He was slowly getting back in the swing of things.

Maia walked along patrolling alone once again. She had a team, but she always seemed to go it alone, though she never stayed alone long. There were senshi overrunning the city and she was constantly running into a new one. Tonight she was going in circles feeling sort of at a lost as to where to go. She had been patrolling for nearly an hour now, but all was quiet and she slowly wondered if she should call it a night.
She turned and headed to where she knew her brother would be waiting for her, it was a long way, but she thought she could use an early night. The job of senshi had the serious drawback of lack of sleep, which while Lily was becoming use to it, she still did not appreciate.
She was walking for sometime when she came across a playground. It meant she was half way to the meeting point and almost home free. However, she could not miss the bizarre sight of someone rather oddly dressed literally standing on top of the jungle gym. It put her on edge and she did not know why. Something just did not seem right.
She wanted to leave, but the feeling, despite what her whole being was shouting to her, was what made her stay.
"Hey," she called, "it is rather dangerous to be out alone at night and standing on top of a jungle gym as well. You should come down, would not want you to fall."

It took a while to sense a senshi, but he would be rather ashamed if he wasn't observant to notice one by now. Still, it wasn't like he had long-range radar for that sort of thing. Typically when you were distracted or, say, daydreaming, you didn't notice that annoying bleep on your Nega-radar as much. When he snapped to attention, he wanted to roll his eyes. It wasn't the first time someone mistook him as either an innocent boy or a child. True, the playground setting didn't help, and neither did the bow, but he resented the fact that his height, his looks, and maybe a bit of his uniform suggested that he was a juvenile.
It was good that he could hate this girl, as he turned to look down at her with half-open eyes, deep green like the lining of his uniform, and took her in. Tiny skirt – typical. White – as if they were the good guys. Soft olive color – at least it wasn't as gaudy as some. He gave her that much credit that she wasn't showing off her "goods" like some skanky senshi he knew. He really hated fighting someone who looked as if they were about to pop out of their top. The tiny skirts bothered him enough.
"You're right. It is rather dangerous to be alone at night, and it's also dangerous to talk to strangers. More so than standing on some playground equipment." He turned more fully to her. "….but everything is dangerous with senshi in the world. I think I can make the world a safer place." To which he held out his hand, and a long chain materialized in his hands, two silver blades hanging on either end.
"So what name should I put on your gravestone? Sailor Sunshine, senshi of safety? It's best I get your name to tell all your friends about your unfortunate passing."

Maia frowned when the boy turned to her and she realized he was a negaverser. The eyepatch was quite the give away, but what was worse is that Maia realized she was horrible at sensing other and negaverser alike. So far youma stood out to her and oddly enough corruption, but otherwise she lacked that finese of detection.
She listened to him speak and frowned deeply seeing the chained weapon. Why did it have to be a chain? Unconciously she wrung her wrist, her last encounter with a chain weilding nega left it sprained. It healed but it wasn't an experience she wished to repeat.
Her frown deepened at his question. She she rose an eyebrow at him. She was probably one of the only senshi who made it a point to withhold her name. She sighed, "Such confidence you have for one so frivolously dressed, but I can unsure you. You will not be carving my name into a gravestone, nor will you be speaking to my friends."
She stood poised ready to attack, not feeling like drawing out the encounter tonight. No it was down to business and she might as well start.
"Sweet Harmony," she called out. The music filled her and the sweet lullabye-like notes spilled from her lips. It was pretty to hear and just as pretty to watch as translucent multicolored notes formed in the air and flew straight for the boy to surround him.

His lip curled at having his uniform insulted. It was an official Negaverse outfit and he didn't want some barely-dressed senshi making fun of it. "You of all people have no place to be the fashion police." To which he looked over her outfit with a disapproving look. "You all dress as if you're desperate exhibitionists. No modesty what-so-ever." Then again, looking at it, there were plenty of Negaverse ladies who were forced to have very revealing outfits, but he wasn't about to take back his insult. He was making a point. Short skirt bothered him and he wanted to point it out.
Stepping to another rung of the jungle gym, he watched her with a narrowing eye. Music notes? He wondered what that all meant, and seeing as the girl hardly said much, he wondered if she was playing it safe. That made her a little smart. "I already talk to plenty of your friends. Just pass the name Wolframite around and you're sure to meet someone who knows me. Carved a few of them recently." Castor being one of the highlight stabbings he had under his belt – but not to many actual deaths. That was something he was working on.
And then she finally opened her mouth, but not for an comebacks. Her voice spoke out pure, melodious notes – and not just singing. ACTUAL notes floated from her lips and started to spin, quickly flying through the air, and heading right at him!
He grabbed the center of his chain and crisscrossed the blades as he threw them out, letting them slice at the notes. A few of the glimmering half-notes and whole notes ripped in half before disintegrating, but t here where too many to cut down. They were small, fast, and determined to meet him. Wolframite expected pain – a explosion – fire, but the notes hit him and……..nothing.
Surprised, he checked himself, and wanted to laugh. What a stupid attack! He was still standing!
…well, a little bit. He was feeling a little dizzy.
Oh…it was proably because he was on this jungle gym and running around. His eye was probably making his unfocused.
The Negaverser rubbed his eye, feeling a little tired. Maybe he stayed up too late. No. He…he had a fight. "Stupid attack…" He yawned. "....it didn't even hurt."
He really was feeling a little tipsy, and decided he had to jump down. Yeah…fight her on the same level.
He flipped down, and landed a good distance away. Wow, he felt tired, and a little warm. Curling up in a ball sounded like a good idea right now. In fact, he really didn't feel much into this. The swings seemed like a better idea than fighting. When was the last time he played on some swings?
Focus. Senshi. There…oh…there. Yeah, there. The short little Nega started to look more like a tired child than a Negaverse Captain by the second.

Maia was annoyed at his jib at her outfit. It was not as though she picked it and she had seen some other the fuku's the other's wore. Her's was decent and proper. She was not showing to much and he skirt was no shorter than her school skirt. She had by far one of the most modest fuku's around.
It was not as though it really matter however. It wasn't the time to worry on such things.
Maia watched feeling rather amused at the boy's frantic reaction to her attack. Really, what did he expect to do burn him? Though he did not know who she was, so she guessed it was a legitimate fear.
She nearly laughed at his apparent confusion. It was obvious that he did not understand what it was her attack had done. She knew and could see the unfocused looked. It was ashame he could still move, much like Tisiphone, but it was of no consequence.
She looked at him and couldn't help to give a soft smile at the tried look. He was really, quite adorable. However, Maia shrugged it off and charged forward. She did a quick spin right in front of the boy, throwing out her leg, in attempt to kick him in the stomache.
"It's not bedtime yet," she said in a sing songy manner.

It wasn't bedtime, but it had almost been light's out for the Negaverser as he was hit directly in the gut and throw back. Powers or not, he was still a short, skinny boy who could be punted like a football if someone had the force behind it – which Sailor Maia did. He was thrown back with a hard grunt and lifted off the ground before he hit it again, rolling back and a few times in the dirt. The force took his breath away and he gasped hard while he laid there, before coughing both from the difficulty to breath and the amount of dirt he inhaled. <********…" Yes, Wolframite swore, which was a bit thing for the Negaverser who rarely said more than 'darnit'. Gripping his middle, he turned over and sat up, but found it hard to bring himself to standing. He felt out of it, and not just from the kick. The entire will to fight just wasn't in him, and while he knew he was in the middle of a fight, he really felt like he should be heading home. HOME! Of all places to think about now! He knew he wasn't a coward and wasn't a slacker, but he also felt tired and wanted to just sit there a while.
Gripping his stomach, he knew that if the pain there was bad enough, sitting around would probably get him kicked in the head, and so he slowly got to his feet. His eyes looked about for his weapon, and he noticed it had been thrown a few feet by a seesaw. He glanced at the girl before making his way over, slowly. If someone had walked over, picked him up in their arms, he probably would have easily fallen asleep in their arms – he just looked that sleepy.

Maia was a bit surprise to see Wolframite punted the way he was, but he was small and Maia made a habit of improving her leg strenght. She was often kicking 'things' being a senshi and she had not stopped taking ballet.
She grinned feeling rather triumphant. He was moving extremely slow, his weapon had been tossed aside and he could not bring himself to move any faster. That being so, Maia attack would only last a few more seconds.
Frowning she ran over to where the weapon was and stood not in front of it, but to the side, knowing from experience that negaverse agents could summon their weapons.
She looked at him, he was truly adorable, looking rather sleepy and quite defeated. She wanted to hug him and she might just after she gave another good punt.
"Sweet Harmony," she cried out, aiming a repeat attack at the still slowed boy. Curiosity the main factor in her attack, having never used it more than once.

When he noticed she was by his weapon, he narrowed his eyes slowly, making a rather frowny face at her being near his chained blades. He didn't like anyone near his weapon, and he knew, even in his sluggish mind, that this was dangerous. When she didn't bother to pick it up, he waited, watching her and being mindful of any move she might make towards him or the weapon. His stomach still hurt, and he held his hands around his midsection, rubbing one side and knowing he'd have a nice, discolored bruise in the morning. Just another to hide.
It was the singing that jerked him to attention, and when he saw the notes, he jumped. It was the only move he could do that didn't require him pushing off. Just one action, a hard push, and he was leaving the rest to gravity. He flew up and landed back away from the notes, but a few of them had followed and got his legs while the rest circled his spot like confused hounds before dissolving.
Once his heels hit the ground, he lot balance and fell on his backside. Farther away now, he sat there, looking over at her and blinking slowly, his eyelids heavy as he yawned again. "That's a real dirty trick." He already guessed what her attack did, but he just couldn't bring himself to be too pissed about it. He would much rather just sit there, looking at her and not moving. Sure, his rear end hurt now, but he was rather comfortable sitting now. Still, he noticed his weapon and, slowly raising his hand, the chain jerked once, before it flew back to him.
Once it was in his hands, he rubbed his one eye with the palm of his hand before setting both hands on his lap, holding the chain, but not making a move. He knew he should get up. He needed to get up on his feet and start moving, but he was rather content just sitting. Owww. He didn't feel like doing this now. Why did he have to fight? He wanted a rain check! Time out! Nap time! He didn't FEEL like messing with her when he wanted to go home to his bed.
He TRIED to be dutiful and hate the senshi, but he found it hard when his head was slowly bobbing down, fighting off sleep. You took out his will to fight, that energy, slowed his heart, calmed him down THIS late at night and he was pretty much back to being a tired little kid.
He took a hand and wrapped it about his middle. "…my tummy hurts."

Maia felt her world spin after her attack and she stumbled a bit. Her hand went to her head as she steadied herself and she frowned. That was not suppose to happen. In her stumbles she was barely aware of the weapon that lay near her until its summon nearly knocked her off her feet.
Maia caught herself and shook of the momentary dizziness, thinking she best wait some time before she attacked like that again. She looked over to see the other practically falling asleep where he sat and it was so adorable. It was almost to hard to resist the urge to hug him, but she knew it unwise.
Maia strode over quickly and stopped just to his side. "I can make it all better for you," she said before picking up her foot, doing a quick spin and swinging full force at the boys shoulders. She aimed to knock him over once more and to wake him up. Quite frankly it was embarassing to see the enemy in such a state.

If it was one thing to destroy the effect of calm sluggishness, a hard, painful, heel-driving kick to the shoulders that nearly shattered the bone was enough to knock anyone out of a daze. He curled down for a moment, gritting his teeth and breathing out, nearly knocked out just from the force of the attack. If she went for his head, he would have really in out for the count, and he wondered, in the moment when his brain kick-started, why she hadn't just went for the kill. She had opportunity after all.
Maybe she would regret waking him up with such a kick when she considered he HAD his weapon on him an she was now in range. His eye shot up to her, narrowed and a little sharper than the dull, soft gaze from before. Yup – he was awake now!
"Wrong move." He hissed, and threw his weapon at her. This close, his weapon was harder to use, but he knew one thing that would throw her back. He gripped close to the blade of one end of his weapon and slashed up at the girl. Either get cut or jump back, it would give him time to push himself to his feet and get some distance from her. Her attack had been more effective than he realized, and if he kept at it, he would have probably been laying either dead or asleep in the next couple of minutes. That idea alone made him cold inside.

Maia barely had time to recognize that he had attacked. She spun to avoid the blade, but it sliced the side of her fuku open, leaving a glaring red slash across her side. "Awww," she cried her hand flew to her side. She looked momentarily to make sure she wasn't bleeding before her eyes flew back to the boy.
She glared at him for all she was worth, only to notice he was getting up and trying to get away. She frowned fore she did not want to use her attack again, but he seemed to be regaining his senses quickly.
She frowned knowing from experience, she had to be really far away from him to be out of the range of the chain and my goodness the knife. Maia moved back quickly, her eyes still determinately focused on the boy before her. She needed to get his weapon away from him. But how?
She didn't have much time to think on it. Her minute was nearly up and while she damaged him, he wouldn't be 100 percent, he would be focused soon. Maia frowned her mind running over strategy's in her head. The only one she kept coming across was that she would have to let the chain get her.

He was all for that plan, and it was actually his plan all along. True, slicing someone up was fast becoming his M.O., but a senshi starseed was a nice prize to bring back to headquarters. Trophies like those were ones he was really aiming for, and he wound up his chain once more, debating on what angle he should go for. Full sweep again or just a direct aim? Considering that she could jump and move about more quickly than he could right now, he went for one that had a higher chance of keeping his enemy in one place. He could jump, but as for running – well, he was still waking up and he didn't trust his eyesight more than ever when he was drowsy.
Stepping closer, he went for a wide, arching sweep out in front, hoping to catch her wherever she may dodge to, and keeping the chain about midsection in hopes of wrapping it about her middle or, if she jumped, maybe her legs. If she jumped, he'd just keep following her until he made a wrong step and got caught. He was patient, and it would buy him time to wake up.

Maia frowned at seeing the chain headed her way. She wanted to jump, but everything in her being told her not to, so instead she dropped to the ground and rolled the chain taking her bow right off the top of her head.
Maia gasped, that was far to close for comfort. She rolled a bit further, before hoping up and wiping the dirt from her fuku momentarily distracted. She hated being dirty and boy did she wish she had jumped now.
The swipes across her fuku to remove the dirt were quick and Maia was at attention in just moment. It looked as though she wasn't quite far enough away and remember on again her first encounter with a chain she decided it was time she started moving. Really moving.
Maia leapt back, looking much like a ballerina in her lovely green fuku and landed gracefully a few feet back. She thanked her parent for all those years of ballet and made to leap again wanting to avoid the chain for now, but knowing inevitably that she would have to be got. She just did not wish to be stabbed.

It was hard not to be stabbed when that was the sole intent of the person going after you, and Wolframite was only getting more annoyed the more she evaded him. He wasn't at the point of completely losing his temper, but now that his mind was clearing up, he could now reflect on the fact he had looked like a 3 year old a few minutes back and was humiliated by his actions when he was under her song spell,. The idea of tearing out her vocal chords or slicing off her tongue was quickly becoming a rather pleasant idea to him, and one he hoped to make a reality. A tongue would look rather nice in a jar, preserved in formaldehyde, and tied up in the senshi's own bow.
"Not so cocky when you're using magic." He only wished that the senshi would somehow loose that bizarre power of theirs. It was always hard to predict what sort of strange powers they had, and most were things he could not fight against as easily as a sword or fist.
He whipped his weapon back and caught it, being mindful of the blade, and continued to walk. Already, he could tell that he was moving back at a normal pace, and he was happy for it. She managed to hit him twice with her music notes and hit him twice. He wasn't going to go for a third time.
Again, he swept up, this time a little lower so she couldn't roll, and he prepared himself to jump if she decided to jump too. He wanted to kick her hard and good for the two she had managed to get on him.
