BoomDemand progress. Keep the internet from being censored. We need your signature. Quote: No person or organization shall be deprived of their ability to connect to others at will without due process of law, with the presumption of innocence until found guilty. Neither governments nor corporations should be allowed to use disconnection from the Internet as a way of arbitrarily furthering their own aims."

It said if outside of the states leave zip code blank.... but then it wouldn't let me sign it cause the zip code spot was blank.
...so I just put 12345.

I can't help but think this is to stop illegal activities from happening on the internet. I can expect 4Chan to be blocked. Do you know how much cp is posted on that website? Well, once is enough to be illegal anyways. :1 I would be surprised if the government hasn't been trying to shut the site down.
But anyways, this is an American problem. Not my business.

Shiny Gligar I can't help but think this is to stop illegal activities from happening on the internet. I can expect 4Chan to be blocked. Do you know how much child pornography is posted on that website? I would be surprised if the government hasn't been trying to shut the site down.
But anyways, this is an American problem. Not my business. I don't doubt it will start out mostly trying to stop copyright violations, but eventually they're going to start censoring for "treason" or "terrorism", or worse, on suspicion. And whatever America does, Canada does when America pressures them to. ******** if I'm gonna sit by and let them take that power.

I'm sorry, what? You dare to limit what I can and cannot do? You just be lucky I don't have the time to come over there with a few dildos, Congress.

This is a petition for a country that voted an idiot for president, twice. They're gonna do whatever they want to do, or whatever will keep them, 'safe from terrorists'. Look at the war. ._. It wasn't exactly the best idea. You can't win against people like that, yet it was tried. I'm not advocating the censorship, but I don't see the point for the petition.

Well of course it won't do anything, the governments never have and never will have the best interests of the people in mind. But if it didn't get any signatures at all, that would imply that nobody was interested in the free Internet. If 30 seconds is all it takes to tell a black market developer I want to be a part of an open-source internet, I'm down.
