Elegancia had been through the mall many, many times, of course, but there was one store she always restrained herself from entering. Oh, of course she pined for it-- everything looked so adorable-- the little beady eyes, the soft fur, the adorable clothes-- but it was for children, not ladies. The brunette stood right outside the store, holding a bag of recently-purchased clothes, watching the children frolic about inside. It was then that she decided to enter the store, ladylike expectations be damned.

With no hesitance, Elegancia waltzed into the colorful blue-and-yellow store, eyes growing wide from the humongous selection that the bear-building store had to offer. She, of course, would pretend as though the animal she created would be for a little sister, or something to that effect. Maybe a cousin or nephew, who knew! Whatever came to her mind! Elegancia grabbed a white-bunny body and had waited in line for the thing to be stuffed, all the while noticing a rather adorable girl in front of her. She was short and had the loveliest blue-ish curls of hair. It was similar to the style she had at one point, and the girl seemed as though she'd grow up to be a rather pretty girl.

"Excuse me," she started, tapping on the little girl's shoulder, "but... Have you done this before?"

"Have I done this before? Uhm, no-- not really, no." Elegancia staggered a bit, obviously somewhat embarrassed to be in the store. She decided to put a large pair of sunglasses on-- the last thing she needed was the watchful eyes of the public making fun of an older girl for shopping at Build-A-Bear. It was funny, though, seeing a 19-year-old standing amidst a bunch of younger and much shorter children. "I'm doing this for my cousin. Yeah, it's her birthday. She loves rabbits, you know."

It was then that the girl behind Elegancia piped into their conversation, with her ugly little face. "Uhm, excuse me," she started, "but I think you cut me. I was here before both of you." She pointed at Elegancia, then at Istas. The girl happened to have a particular dislike for Istas, as she then added, "what are you looking at? Got a problem?!" Elegancia really had the mind to say something to this child, but maybe she'd let Istas take care of it. It was unbecoming of a lady to chastise someone else's offspring, after all.

Uhm, no. If Istas was not going to defend herself, someone had to do it. The skill was a necessity of life, and one that the young curl-haired girl needed to know. As it stood, though, she was still young, and had a whole lifetime of picking up the skill. Elegancia crossed her arms, then faced the young girl.

"Excuse me, but I do not appreciate you talking to my sister like that." Elegancia took her sunglasses off, to show that she was serious, then continued, "we were both here before you, and you know it. If you harass us anymore, I will get a store attendant to escort you to the back of the line." Elegancia then put her glasses back on and scoffed. What a brat! Probably embarrassed, the young girl slowly made her way out of their sight, until she probably left.

"Sorry you had to deal with that. Why did you let her stomp all over you like that?"

"Well, if you ask me, she's a snot-nosed little brat. It would be in your best interest to ignore those kinds of children," she paused, noticing that it was almost their turn to pick the faces for their animals, "they grow up to be trouble-makers. Mark my words, that girl will not be happy with herself when she grows up!" Elegancia flicked a lock of hair behind her shoulder and then prodded Istas up to select the eyes and nose for her little Wolf.

While she was doing so, Elegancia was looking over all the selection-- she most definitely wanted the blue button eyes and pink little nose. They would look absolutely adorable on the white rabbit she had selected for her... uh... cousin. "Try to hurry, uh," she paused, "what's your name, again? I don't think I caught it..."

"Oh, my apologies. I call myself Elegancia d'Strella," she paused once more, "but you can call me Miss Ele." She was unusually warm and kind to Istas-- maybe because she was young? But probably because she was adorable. And partially because she felt pity for her. Either way, Elegancia was showing a tender side of her personality that not many people got to see. "I don't think I'll be picking a soundbox for my-- my cousin's-- rabbit. It'd be rather bothersome. Is it required?" She certainly hoped not, because what would happen if she wanted to squeeze it late at night? It'd wake her up!

Truth be told, Elegancia was rather jealous of Istas' eye for adorable things. She certainly picked a lovely combination for her wolf, the purple and black facial expressions. Maybe Istas had the ability to pick things as cute and adorable as herself? The curly-haired little child would certainly be a perfect comrade to have when picking things for her build-a-bear. "What do you think would look good on this rabbit, Istas?"

She was just too adorable! Elegancia could see why some people chose to be teachers for children-- it was an absolute joy to see the way young people's thought process worked. Children were such abstract creatures, and as such, she herself had never once stopped to think that a career as a teacher would be nice, but every once in awhile, it seemed like a cute thing to do. Not that she'd ever do it, of course. "Well, Istas, you have some pretty sound logic! I think I'll choose the yellow ones-- you don't see that often, do you?" Elegancia dropped the blue eyes into their bin, then traipsed over to the clothes.

This was going to be fun.

"My cousin is a girly-girl, you see. She loves frills and pretty things," she paused, then continued, "nothing cheap or tacky, you know?" The brunette picked up a flowery dress-- no, that wouldn't do. It was too cutesy and not enough elegant. "I think this princess-like dress is pretty cute..." But was it too much for a rabbit to wear? It hardly seemed plausible for an animal to wear such an extravagant dress. "I find it hard to imagine an animal wearing this. But these aren't real-- they're fantasy, right? So I suppose it doesn't matter." She chuckled, then watched Istas pick her own clothes.

"What are you going to pick?"

Elegancia's eyes lit up when the flouncy dress was brought before her by Istas. "Oh, my! It is absolutely and one-hundred percent perfect!!" The brunette scooped it out of little Istas' hands, her eyes glowing, "oh, but it's not my rabbit. It's my cousin's, remember? Oho.. hohoho." She laughed nervously, worrying that the little girl would see through Elegancia's deception. Hopefully not-- maybe she wasn't that perceptive.

"At any rate, I think I'll stick with this dress. It's very elegant, and I don't think rabbits would wear shoes. So I'll stick to just the dress!" She smiled, "my cousin will absolutely love it." Elegancia followed Istas to another aisle, wondering what she was going to do next. "So, how are you going to pay for your animal? Do you have an allowance, or is your mother here...?"

Elegancia scrunched her nose up. Was Istas calling her a liar? Well, children would be children, she supposed, so she'd let it slide. Plus she was just so gosh-darn adorable!! The girl could get away with murder if she simply batted her eyelashes and smiled coyly.

"A reservation?" Elegancia cocked her head as the two lined up to get their animals stuffed. "Why does your grandfather live on one?" She probably sounded ignorant, but it was better to find out at some point than never, she supposed.

It was funny, though, that Istas didn't want to join her mother shopping. Elegancia would have killed for an opportunity to shop with her mother. Oh, the things children took advantage of! She wanted to ask which store it was that her mother was in, but then it was Istas' turn to stuff her wolf.

"I'll watch you do it first," she noted, "because I've never done this..."
