It was early morning, too early in Lovelee's opinion as she made her way across the meadow that her home overlooked. But today was a special day at least, she had decided to go visit her family. A chirping caught her attention and she rolled her eyes " AIKA! quit talking to the birds and get back here, you want to meet your grandparents and your auntie and the rest, right?"

Aika popped out from behind a line of bright green bushes, which had made her nearly impossible to find. Lovelee smirked, remembering all the times she had panicked when her little girl had disappeared only to find that she was laying down in the grass a few feet away, she was such a vibrant little thing. " Yeah mom~!!" Aika called, her little wings fluttering at her back " sorry mom, they were just telling me what was going on around the area." She perked her ears up "but yeah~!!" she trilled excitedly " i want to see them~!! a lot~!!" she hop skipped to her mothers side and kept close to her, her necklaces jingling in time with her hoof beats.

Lovelee smiled slightly, her daughter was a chipper handful but she wouldn't have traded her for anything. Back when she was younger winged Soquili had made her angry, she had been jealous of them because she couldn't be just like them, she couldn't be a bird for her mother. But she knew Birdy loved all her children, even her. She flicked her tailand renewed her vigour " alright my girl! we can go faster than this, lets go!" she took off at a easy gallop and Aika, who had been spoiling for a run chased after her mother, chipring and whistling happily.

How like her grandmother she was.

Lovelee trudged boldy through brush, off beaten paths and past hungry predators all with a face that meant business. There were very few, she noticed, which would hamper a fiesty mare and her daughter, especially where they were going.
" Aika..." Lovelee looked behind her to find her daughter distracted by a couple of birds, yet again. A smile tugged at her lips, but they had somewhere to go " Aiiiika, i know your feathery friends have stuff to say, but we need to go to where grandpa is ok?"

Aika turned from the two doves she had been speaking with and fluttered her little wings " oh~!! sorry mom...again" She wiggled her nose at them and the two birds flew off " they told me there were two others like us in the area"
"Others? like us?" Lovelee raised a delicate eyebrow at her daughter and nodded in the direction they needed to go " well hopefully they'll be either family or friendly, cuz i'm not in the mood for anything other than that!" Lovelee started off again towards a copse of what looked like apple trees. "Oh" Aika giggled softly at her mom's fiesty attitude "Go mom!" She followed happily after her mothers hoofbeats, her jewlery jangling along.
They had just entered the line of trees when Aika spotted a figure lurking in the shadows, with what seemed to be a horn and...glinting there...a fang~!?
She cheeped out a warning" MOM~!! there's something there~!!" she fluttered her wings, making them seem larger, she pawed at the ground with her hooves.
Lovelee looked sharply in the direction Aika had mentioned, expecting to find a Kalona hiding there...maaaaybe a skinwalker...she soon spotted a figure there, followed by another one, with her coloring. Lovelee begain to laugh, flicking her tail at Aika "Calm down girl...that's your grandpa...aaaand your aunt Bitty it looks like"

Aika blinked owlishly and fidgeted next to her mother " g-grandpa~!? and...auntie" She followed her mom to a clear area where they could be easily spotted by the other party. Lovelee smiled at the blond stallion " hey Dad, hey Bitty, long time no see"
