Arthur trudged wearily towards the stand of trees in the distance. The weather of late had been nasty, and that random turn he'd decided to make off the path that he'd found had not been the best of his ideas.
He tossed his head throwing water everywhere then lowered his head dejected, his mood darkening as the buzz that accompanied him everywhere suddenly got louder. He glanced back at the purple nuisance, and just sighed. "Bog Walkers..." he muttered before picking up the pace and making it under the trees.

She was taking shelter herself in this weather. She had two little ones to look over, and this was their first storm. The weather was nice and warm, something that was a blessing in the jungle, and she didnt really mind the rain. It wasnt the best to fly in, but it was pretty and a part of her world none the less.
She almost didnt spot him, and she wouldnt have if it wasnt for his little friend following him around. Her own familiar rested on her shoulder, the dark purple lizard, flicked its tongue, trying to get a better scent of the intruders. Both female's eyes narrowed as they watched sharply.
Maybe it was time, maybe it was the babies, but she wasnt as quick to run off and confront the male. She actually smirked seeing his wet, unfortunate and miserable self standing in bare shelter.

Arthur huddled under the trees and snorted getting water out of his nose. He sighed and leaned against a tree rubbing his shoulder against it to scratch. He silently cursed rain, the clouds, and any number of other entities that he thought were all piled against him.
It was then of course that Boglash decided to come down very carefully to sit on his head, giving the stallion a squishy blue and purple hat. How he managed not to sting Arthur was a mystery in itself but somehow the creature had learned to do so. It only pissed Arthur off more, and the silent tirade got to whisper level.
It was then he noticed something bright and colorful out of the corner of his eye. He turned his head and blinked a bit at the female Angeni. He'd never seen one before, but he'd heard of them certainly. The curses he'd been muttering instantly stopped and he looked sheepish as if she'd been able to hear him.
"Um..." he heard himself say lamely. "Am...I intruding?"

Whether or not it was intentional, the mare certainly had calmed from her more vicious ways now that she had children of her own. She was not weak by no means, but she had learned patience. Maybe it also had to do with having two males in her life that she rather adored, even if one feared her, and she didnt see the other so much right now.
She found the scene entertaining at first, tho her heart started to sink a little, her smile fading the more pathetic it turned. The moment his words came from his mouth she found herself almost unable to be cruel in any way. Respect was her weakness, after all, thats all she really wanted.
Taking a deep breath, she came close to him finally, not minding the rain at all. She looked up to him, studying him a bit, and his odd... hat. "Follow me...," she said simply, quietly.

Arthur blinked and nodded slowly before following the mare. As he started to move, Boglash took off again and floated along after him. He followed the mare at a respectful distance, not exactly sure where she was taking him, and his mind flicked between the best thing and the worst possible thing that could happen to him. He noticed the foals though and gave them a small smile. He'd always liked kids, although it did make him wonder where the father was...
He had a sinking feeling that she was leading him out of sight to where ever her partner was and then...he mentally spazzed. It wouldn't be the worst situation he'd be in....and the benefits of being under the trees, he'd have limited mobility due to his wings. He hoped he'd be able to outrun him.

The two kept close to her, easily under her wings away from the rain. She, again, didnt seem to mind it at all. She led him to a clearing that gave way to some stone ruins. Although they were dark, they were dry. He obviously couldn't fly, but it was as good as any shelter. Her eyes almost seemed to glow as she looked back to him, before heading in herself.
"I hope you will find this... usefull," she said in a low, calm voice. "Its the best there is around here at the moment. I assume you know how to make yourself a fire, if need be?"

Arthur gave a small nod stopping just sort of the entrance. He was unsure if he wanted to proceed but followed after a moment. "I'll be fine." he said. He stood there for a moment wondering if it would be impolite of him to shake but considering he was already dripping all over the place more water wouldn't make to much of a difference. With that he tossed his mane a few times and flicked his tail suddenly feeling ten pounds lighter with the release of a portion of the water bogging him down.
He grinned a bit to himself, the smile instantly disappearing as Boglash landed on his head. again. He grumbled silently to himself then looked at the mare. "Thank you." he said having to admit that even with his "hat" he felt considerably better.

She moved free of him just as they entered into the cave. She expected nothing less than for him to shake, so she figured she would at least be clear of it when he decided to do so... not that any extra water would hurt her either. She nodded a bit and just watched him, tho her look was careful.
"Can I ask... what you were doing here?" her tone showed that she was trying to be cordial or nice. Almost like it was a strain for her, or something she was trying to pay particular mind to.

Arthur had expected that question. It was pretty inevitable. Especially for a lone male. He'd become immune to most of the suspicion that was cast in his direction due to his lack of roots. He just shrugged a bit trying to seem casual. "Oh, took turn a few days back, thought I'd take the path less traveled...ended up here." he said. "Would have made better time...but the weather turned south on me." he added.
He looked around again."Never would have thought a place like this was around here."

One could take his words as him being ignorant or up to causing trouble, and she tried her damnedest to not think either. She looked over the wet male before looking outside. "Thankfully, most of our rain is not accompanied by the cold, as it is in most other places. It shouldnt last long, but it might start up soon after it stops..." her voice trailed off a bit.

Arthur nodded. "Happens" he muttered. he shook his head and sighed. "I won't stay long. Wouldn't want to put you out, and I'm not looking for any trouble. I can find more than enough without looking for it openly." he chuckled more to himself than anything.
He then sighed and stopped. "Thank you, though. I really do appreciate this." he said nodding to the mare.

She kept looking out to the rain, calm as ever. She could have left it at that, leaving him, or she could have kept it going... well.. no reason to start being rude now...
"What were you looking for... why were you traveling? If I may be so bold.."

"Honestly?" he asked, before pausing for a moment, "I...I don't know really." he gave a rueful smile. "One day I just wandered away from home and kept going. Maybe I'll figure it out one day, but until then, lots to see, lots to do, lots of interesting people to meet."
He sighed. "Must sound pretty stupid actually...just wandering around with no purpose."

Looking back to him, she arched a brow. Hmm... to be honest or not...
"It does. However, those who wander arent always lost or without purpose. Just because it is not in the forefront of your mind, doesnt mean that you lack a reason. Maybe you havent thought hard enough on it yet.." her words trailed off a bit, "or maybe you arent ready to answer yet..."

Arthur nodded slowly. "I...I hadn't thought about it that way." he said slowly. "You're probably right." He stamped a foot and sighed. "Ah well, it'll come to me eventually I suppose."
He looked back out into the foul weather and muttered softly to himself, "All who wander are not lost..." he then shook his head and flicked his tail.
