Yellow eyes watched through the trees, dancing with delight. She'd smelled the other lioness long before she'd seen her. It was a face she knew well, very well. As soon as the bright purple lioness had gotten close, she crept along through the foliage, watching, waiting. When the time was right, she slid her way out. "Cousin, so good to see you!" She smiled a slow, almost deliberately-creepy smile.

The purple lioness jumped, letting out a surprised sound. When she saw her distant relative, she smiled sheepishly. "Oh, Kizuka! I didn't see you! Or... Smell you... How have you been? It's been a while!" She dared not touch the other. She'd See what might have caused her hurt in the past, something she would rather not have to do.

The cream lioness stepped closer, still smiling. "Oh, it's not Kizuka anymore! It's Ulimwengu'yavuyavu." At the confused look, she simply smiled. "Just know that it's special. Everybody takes an adult name here... It's... WONDERFUL!" She stepped very close, pressing against her cousin's side. "You should join us."

Kumbuko's eyes widened, as she saw flashes of her cousin's past. There was, thankfully, no physical hurt. Just a confused and jumbled mess of psychological. She quickly stepped away. "I-I-I don't think that's a good idea!"

"Why not? And why so serious, cousin?" She stepped close again, smiling still. "Come sit down, tell me what ails you... I know you See the hurt oft, but what hurts you?" It had to be something, surely. Anything at all.

Kumbuko shook her head again, starting away. "Kizu-- ULI... I can't stay here... There's too much hurt around me, and... When we made contact, what I Saw scared me... You should get away from here, it's not good for you."

Black ears suddenly laid back, as yellow eyes glimmered dangerously. "Hurt, around you? Banish the thought..." She started to stalk closer. "What about hurt IN you? Surely that has to be worse... Much worse..."

The purple lioness looked at her cousin in horror. "No, Uli, I'd rather NOT! She backed up, then turned, fleeing into the trees. Leaves slapped at her, trying to catch her, as she did her best to put distance between herself and this place that was starting to play with her mind. The things she was Seeing scared her, scared her deeply. She had to get away.

The cream colored lioness let out a hmph, then smiled. "You'll come back some day, cousin... Some day..." She turned, then, padding back into the jungle.
