Companions, companions. That was Nkemdilim's task of the day, to find her Kings some new companionship. It was not an actual request from her Kings, but Nkemdilim felt herself growing tired of her appointed duties as her Kings personal huntress and babymaker. She wanted a break, a day without feeling either Mweyne or Tichona on top of her attempting to sire cubs and she knew so long as she was their only consort that would not be happening (until she actually sired someone some cubs anyway). For her, the best way of securing that break was bringing them home a new female companion. They'd be more inclined to investigate her and get to know her for a few days and it would give Nkemdilim the much needed rest she deserved, but finding an actual female companion was the hard part.Nkemdilim had been out for a number of hours now on her joint task of finding a new companion for her Kings and catching the meal of the day for them to share. So far her endeavor had proven fruitless on both counts. There were no single women to be found and she had yet to run into a herd yet which she could possibly hunt from. Where on earth was the women and the food? Her supposed failure in her quest on served to crush Nkemdilim's spirits a bit and her pace began to slow to a leisurely trot as she scanned the lands for something to eat. Perhaps the herds had already crossed the river for the season and she would be forced to try another prides lands in order to get food. She was not pleased about this.
"Why couldn't they have picked someone to join me in their dens? I am the only one here to hunt for three, and have no time for myself," Nkemdilim complained loudly. All she wanted was a break.

Miye knew all too well what it was like to be a thing to breed and not to be loved. In fact she had never known love, not even for her cub who could be dead for all she knew. In truth she had a few descendants now but Miye wouldn't have cared for them either. She had been bullied and dragged through the mud so much that she didn't really care much for herself either. The only thing it seemed she did care about was moaning... about everything.
