They say the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. She wasn't sure whether it was true or not, but it was her only chance. She trembled, but was it from nerves? Excitement? The table didn't make a good seat, and drumming her heels against its side didn't pass the time well enough.
She looked at the clock. Steve wasn't due to be here for awhile. She was so bored! Whose idea was it to do all this?! She was getting hungry! And -- wait. Where was her master plan?
The empty plate next to her held only crumbs. WHERE WAS IT?! WHERE WAS THE DISH SHE HAD PREPARED?! Did she eat it again?!
"Oh NOOOOOOO!" She wailed. She did, in fact, eat her plan. Now what was a girl to do?!

GLUTTONY'S CHALLENGE: Gluttony had the perfect trap for Steve. She had spent all night working on it in the kitchens after convincing Ginger that she needed to "bake a surprise" for someone. But now? Now that delicious cake was nothing more than a lie, and she had used up ALL of the ingredients while making it! She needed to locate ingredients and turn it into something delicious -- fast. And that's where you come in. And there's a swamp nearby...
Rules:
- Roll 5, 20-sided dice. These represent the items you were able to gather. A list of items is below.
- Using this items, create a recipe using all of the items you gathered! Write it, draw it, bake it -- use whatever medium you like!
- Your goal is to feed Steve when he arrives.
- Now is probably a good time to mention that you're trying to poison him, correct?
- As far as what's what... you have no idea. Might as well make the best of things, right?
- ONLY NEWBIES CAN WIN GLUTTONY! Non-newbies may participate for silver seeds.

- Shouldn't you be more concerned about when Steve's going to show up?!

- Dunno. Hopefully there will be at least three days to go find something in the swamp and make it at least look edible...

- If you wish to bake, PLEASE MAKE IT OUT OF EDIBLE THINGS so that you can eat it after taking some pictures of it! XDDD As long as it LOOKS like you made it out of five items, then it'll count.

STILL CONFUSED?
No worries! Here's a sample of what you can do. : D Here, it looks like Gluttony found items 1, 9, 15, 16, 16. That means she found some Ominous-looking Berries, some Slender Plants with No Scent, a Colorful Large Frog, and two bunches of Yellow Flowers with Small Petals.
With that, I can enter something like this:
Once there was a girl who called herself Gluttony,
Whose plan left her in some agony.
She went into the swamp,
And came back after her romp,
Only to stuff everything into the frog and call it a Peony.

I'm assuming we edit this post when we have the entry ready? Your User Name: Zee Oddwyn Items Rolled: 2 bunches of Strange Eggs, 2 very-hard-to-hold-onto bunches of Wiggling, curling vines, and some Strange Mushrooms. Prize Pref: Gluttony Entry: It had taken her the better part of two days to wrangle the vines into something resembling cookie dough, and the darn things were still wriggling! And despite the thorough baking they'd gotten, the bright pink mushrooms were still hanging on. There was even a rather unhappy looking bud sprouting on one. The eggs, thankfully, seemed content to stay where they were, the little shadowy forms inside still peacefully asleep. Gluttony couldn't tell if any of these ingredients would do the trick. But, perhaps if the mushrooms or the eggs didn't get him, the vines could strangle him from the inside. They'd certainly been doing their best with her!

Entry: "The cake is all gone, so I suppose I'll make Steve something else," Gluttony says to herself as she rubs her grumbling tummy maw.
She decides to go looking for "ingredients" around the nearby swamp.
"Oh my! These berries look mostly harmless enough." << xxx >> ~snicker~
"I suppose I could bake him a pie." She pulls a few handfuls of hard berries off a bush down near the stagnant water.
"Ooohh!" She exclaims as she spots some dark green eggs with burgundy speckles stuffed under the bush in a decent sized nest. "I think these would work great in the pie. Those berries don't have much juice to 'em."
Then she spies some huge mollusks in the bottom of the disgusting water. They're deep indigo colored and covered in spines. O-O "Those are spectacular!" She snatches them up in a heartbeat, managing not to lose a finger or two in the process.
"I really think the pie would bake faster if all the ingredients were at room temperature." XD ~insert cute Gluttony ebil face here~
She wanders off to go watch the last couple rounds of the BotB's, leaving the very perishable ingredients on the counter in her kitchen.
~3 hours later~
Gluttony heads back into the kitchen. "Those snapping shells seem to have settled down a bit," she says as she's approaching the counter.
She reaches into the drawer with the utensils and grabs out the meat mallet (a big hammer). She then proceeds to whack the crap out of the mollusks, shells and all. Then she dumps the spiky mess into the mixing bowl that is sitting next to her. Was it clean? Mebbeh.
Then she drops the slightly fragrant, uncracked eggs into the bowl. And adds the 2 handfuls of brown berries into the mix. "Need to smash the eggshells into smaller pieces, " she mumbles under her breath. She picks up the trusty mallet and starts stirring the mix with it, hoping that will break up the eggshells a little better.
"Looks good. Well, good enough, anyways." She pours the mixture into a premade pie crust . Then sticks the pie into the oven. Oops. She forgot to preheat the oven. So she turns it up as high as it will go. About 550 or so. And sets the timer for 10 mins. (She better hurry! Steve should be showing up anytime now)
While the pie is in the oven, Gluttony decides she wants to pretty it up a little. So she goes outside to the garden and picks a few of the prettiest flowers out there.
"Oh! I hear the timer," she says and scurries back into the kitchen.
She pulls the pie out of the oven, but forgets that it should probably cool for a few minutes. She sets the pretty flowers (nightshade) on the pie and watches sadly as they kinda melt into the gooey mess. "Oh well, I don't think Steve will mind if it's not really pretty. I mean, he is a guy, right?"
Just about that time, in walks Steve.

She loved feathers. They tasted ticklish!). Surveying them, she scratched her head. Berries, berries, berries, and more berries. What did people make out of berries? And then it struck her. PIE.The demon quickly got to work, in a montage of baking scenes that looked kind of like this:  By the end of it, Gluttony admired her handiwork. There was no way that Steve would know her beautiful pie was not only totally dangerous and poisoned, but had just 23 less than four and twenty blackbirds baked in to it as well. What could she say? She loved dinner and a show.

Entry: Gluttony looked at the table with a willful grin. Now this is what she calls ingredients! In fact, it looks positively more delicious than the original cake. And this time, she wasn't going to eat it herself!
She rubbed her hands together as she let out a cackle and then got to work. Gluttony gently hit the Strange Eggs on the counter and then smashed the eggs when they failed to crack. A gooey purple substance with lilac bubbles slid out of the shell into the bowl. The aroma smelled like covered up spoiled milk.
Well... Maybe she wouldn't eat it herself but Stevey-Boo was sure to love it! And then he could take her out once in a while and then they could gather up some fear together and then go out to eat- oh! She was getting distracted again. Back to cooking. Gluttony threw in some of the Bright Red Berries and began to mix the two ingredients together. Soon the berries were no longer red. They were a dark purple... grey... colorthing. It was a good thing those Ominous-looking Berries were there! Since they looked the same, they were bound to taste the same and remove that sour milk smell. Gluttony smiled as she threw in the remaining handful of berries and coated them with the purple egg substance. Yum!
Gluttony looked around... There were no more ingredients for cake, so she had to make do with what she had. Oooo, pasta! She gave out a giggle in glee and followed out with a squeal. She quickly scooped up the Slender Plants with No Scent and stripped them, similar to an onion. It's bright orange leaves left markings on her fingers. Actually, it was starting to burn. "Ow ow ow ow!" Gluttony chanted as she dunked her hand into the egg/berry mixture. "Ahhh..." She said in relief. Gluttony mixed her hand in the batter and watched as it turned into a deep red color. It reminded her of red velvet cake! Who doesn't like red velvet cake? No one, that's who!
"This will be wonderful ca- pasta!" Hehe, she gave an embarrassed grin to no one. Her stomach growled at her: "Feed me stupid!"
"Oh hush you!" Gluttony giggled out as she (with gloves) carefully stripped the rest of the orange plant and chopped it into small pieces. She could hear the air sizzle as her gloves began to burn. I hope the plastic doesn't get into the food... she thought, but of course, that would only make the texture more interesting! Gluttony tossed the plants into a glass bowl (ha! you can't burn that can you, stupid plant) and set it aside. It would be the garnish to the dish.
She reached over to the red egg and berry batter and added some secret seasonings she received through the mail from her mother. Mum could always giver her foods the best flavor! After the half-pound of sugar and other mysterious substances were added to the batter Gluttony licked her lips in anticipation. Stevey-Boo was going to fall for this pasta and she would be there to catch him! The batter thickened immensely with the added ingredients and Gluttony set the batter to cook on the stove as she boiled the Slimey Blue Flowers and pasta noodles together. The slime would add a nice touch- and tint- to her lovely dish! However as she checked the pasta to see if it was done cooking- the individual strands refused to separate! It seems as if the slime acted as a glue of some sort... Maybe she could salvage the dish and turn it into a gelatin. Or something.
So Gluttony pried the pasta from the now unusable pan and placed it on a sturdy plate and poured the berry sauce with tender love. Finally, sprinkling the orange plant pieces on top for additional color, the dish was complete!
...
What was that sizzling noise? Oh well, it'll go away eventually.

Entry: Oops...when someone had cake they had it for dessert, right? And you can't have dessert without a meal! Regardless of if the dessert came before or after the meal, it just wasn't done. You couldn't have dessert without a lunch, a breakfast or a dinner. There was no way. But she'd used everything making this cake of lies! Craaap! The little demon girl pulled at her hair and stared around the kitchen, muttering to herself about how she was going to make something out of...well...nothing. She had base ingredients still! But nothing that would make Steve a lunch to remember.
And damn was this going to be a lunch to remember.
Well if she couldn't find anything here she would just go out and find things! That's how it used to be done anyway, right? It would be...all natural. Vegan! Or something. Whatever, she'd figure it out. And so the girl set out to the swamp, trenching through it and searching for the perfect ingredients. What could she make out of...swamp stuff?

Entry: It would be difficult, but with the right garnish, the proper presentation..yes! She could do well in making a lovely little treat for that sucker Steve! Sure, she had only five ingredients, but it was all she needed. Placing the Large Dull-Colored Moth in a cage with some of the Slimy Blue flowers, the slime removed and set aside, she let it feed. She need it nice and fat..and dead. Plucking the feathery irate...creature, she set the feathers aside...perhaps it was a relative of the quetz? Ah, no matter. Mashing, skinning, and de-boning occurred very quickly, (what? So she might have some practice in such things.), a good ammount of dark meat was left. Setting it aside, she got to work on the strange eggs, boiling them in them in fresh swamp water, the slimy blue flowers in the pot tinging them just so with a rather lovely hue. The cup of flower slime would be used later...Much later. Once boiled, she pealed away at the shell, the yolk and egg 'while' (well, blue now) very solid. Scooping out the yolk, she set it in a bowl along with the meat of the feathered creature, and a few of the pretty multi colored flowers. Just a few...she would only need a dozen petals or so...Ah yes, the mixture blended rather nicely, and was stuffed back into the small hollow of the egg where the yolk had rested. The eggs where half done. Going back to the cage, the moth was very fat, and very dead. Not even squished! Perfect! Ripping off it's wings, she set them to the sides of the egg, giving it an almost cute look. The wings had been clipped down to make matching sets, after all, one moth had to be used on two eggs. Cutting the moth in half she laid it across the top, taking time to split the antennas and have them swirl just so..once more, perfect presentation! A little face on her cute egg...flying...things! Placing the feathers all on the plate, a bit of the filling for the eggs dabbed on them, and her beloved creations set on top, adorable and well as... Tasty, delicious morsils, yummy yummy nomalicios yum yums!NO. NO!Bad Gluttony! These were for Steve! Steve and his weak stomach would never be able to handle her culinary creations! Now, carefully, Gluttony drizzled the blue flower slime she saved atop the egg and place, wincing at the times she dripped onto the moth wings. Adding the multi colored flowers for a touch of class and... "DONE!"
