Silen was tired of several things, A) A certian dragon turning her house upside down and B) Taren lounging around the house unless he had class or some other unmissable appointment. Occasionally he'd take himself out to local parks but that was rare these days. She wasn't sure if activities her son engaged in could be classed as playing in the park when he spent all his time under it.

In her search to motivate her withdrawn adopted child into more sociable and engaging things she had noticed her he had an interest in different plant life, not so much flowers but all kinds from creeping vines, trees and fungus. So she had brought him along for a family outing. Al through for now she sat on a bench reading a book while she allowed her adopted son to explore for himself. She had gotten him out of the house but she wasn't trying for mother of the year.

Taren's ears twitched as he listened to the call of some exotic bird housed within the great green house and glanced towards the glass roof, there were so few people in the large attraction he felt fairly comfortable being alone, there was plenty of things to look at. He turned his attention back to the giant flower "Ra...raff..les..ia.", He attempted to spell out the name on the card rolling hiis tongue across the roof of his mouth. He didn't like flowers as a rule but the giant red bloom was hard to miss. The center of the flower alone was bigger than his head, let alone the petals.

Periwinkle meanwhile had ignored the rope barricades that separated visitors from the exhibits and was slinking among the foliage. Taren spotted her and frowned. "Wink get back here, you'll get me in t...tr..tr..trouble." As usual she ignored him.

"Woah! What is this place? Some sort of vegetarian dream world?" Came a cheerful voice, that of the rather massive Clydesdale boy Valens. At well over six foot tall and rather wide one of the main things on his mind was food, always seeming to be munching on something given that he burned off a lot of energy given how physical he was. Luckily for him his dragoness Ellie carried what equated to saddle bags across her back just in front of her wings that carried all manner of snacks for the boy.

"Valens... this is a garden!" Ellie said, sounding exasperated. She wasn't sure how they'd ended up here, just knew that they were lost as per usual and all of the nicely scented flowers had led them into here. While it was a beautiful place that she didn't mind visiting at all she was still unable to keep from sighing when it came to Valens and his strange views on things. Vegetarian Dream World? She was pretty certain if he started to graze they were going to end up getting banned from the place before they were even able to explore it. She turned to the bag on her back, opened it up, and then nosed around through it before she found a good sized apple. She grabbed it carefully and then held it out to her boy.

The teen reached out to her, taking it without even a second thought and took a bite of it. That her mouth had been on it meant nothing to him since he didn't care about germs given he spent all day outside. He looked over at Ellie and smiled, "Its pretty good, thanks. Do we have any water in there?" He stepped closer to go digging through the bags, his long tail swishing as he did so then smiled as he withdrew a large bottle of it, "Awesome! Your the best, Ellie." He praised her, sipping from the bottle before they continued along for a time, looking around the place, marveling at all the pretty plants. This was really his sort of place he thought to himself, grinning away.

Taren looked up as he felt something quite large and imposing enter the area, Valen was hard enough to miss on his own. With Ellie by his side he became impossible to over look. The dragon was also a clear indication the newcomer was from d-corp, he might as well have had it tattooed on his forehead. What's more the mole no longer had to see them to know they were there, every strong black hair on his body quivered with the vibrations of their approach.

He instantly let out a reactive squeak, unable to stop the sound coming from his mouth. He blinked rabidly in the bright florescent lights and turned to face the oncoming terror of new people. But as Valen came closer his brain clicked, and the memory surfaced, he recognised him. It had been some time but he definably remembered the horse boy, however he had been alot smaller then...He looked down at his slightly rounded stout figure and felt his cheeks colour. when standing so close to the muscular young tall and handsome creature he felt smaller than usual and extreamly insignificant.

Taren had enjoyed Valen's company when they were younger but now he was suddenly considering beating a hasty retreat before they were sported. Unfortunately it was not going to bt that easy.

Hearing Taren's squeak the long neck of his partner had stuck out of the bushes. As the silver approached with her boy the lindworm fully emerged from the spot and slithered right up to the pair stretching herself out in their path with a hiss.Periwinkle had picked up on Taren's anxiety like a banker on money. These great big clumsy things were scaring her partner and she wasn't having it!

Taren sighed, well now he had no choice but to go and appolgize. "Wink, s..st.stop that! They arnt doing anything." he scolded the dragon stil making an effort not to look Valen or Ellie in the eye. "I'm sorry about that...She's a little....temperamental with strangers." he stutted

The hiss was a startling sound to Valens, he jerked his head from side to side to try to find the cause of it... it sounded as though it came from something big... a big snake! If there was anything in the world that he didn't like it was snakes because he found them to be frightening. Running across them he was always torn between wanting to stomp them and wanting to run from them... when his chocolate colored eyes fell upon what had made the noise he couldn't but to sigh in relief. Oh... oh good... it wasn't a snake! It was a dragon of some sort, after all snakes didn't have feet and this one certainly did.

"Phew... your not a snake." He said to the lindworm before he turned his attention to the one with her and his ears turned forward for a moment. Hey... wait a second... one could almost hear the gears in the horse's mind grinding as he tried to place this person. Familiar... though where from? He starred a long time longer before his brain finally offered up a name, "Taren?" He asked of the boy in the glasses, his tail swishing. Hadn't he played with this guy before at some point? He couldn't quite recall when, he knew it was a while ago but still he had made friends with him! So this was like a reunion of sorts!

The horse gave a toothy grin, "Hey, long time no see!" He said, in a happy manner.

Ellie looked up at her boy, down to Taren who she didn't know, and then to the one that was called 'Wink' by her boy. She gave the Lindworm a smile, "Do forgive us for startling the two of you, my name is Ellie and that is Valens." She said to the younger dragoness in draconic deciding that if Valens was going to talk with Taren she would talk with the one called Wink.

Periwinkle eyed the horse boy. She felt a flash of sadistic glee when she managed to give the large teen such a start. Serves him right as far as she was concerned. To bad he came to the realisation she wasn’t a snake so quickly, she was one of the most snake like dragons that you were likely to come by after all and she would be quite happy to use that to her advantage in frightening some poor unfortunate. Slowly she lowered her body, pooling in coils of herself on the floor she twisted herself and curled her length of scales beside her boy.

When the silver dragon addressed she considered ignoring it all together. She wasn’t really interested. But Taren was always prompting her to be polite around others and so she attempted to answer in a tone she fought fitting for such a annoyingly perky creature. “Are you? How nice for you. “

Taren couldn’t under stand dragonic, he was just happy to see Periwinkle being conversational. The Silver seemed so friendly. “Yea, Hi Valens, it has been a long time. “ He awkwardly took a step closer to the pair and then hesitated, dithering between stepping back or offering a claw, unsure what protocol was when seeing an old friend. “um…how have you b..b..been?” he asked, still holding on to that occasional nervous stutter from when he was younger. “This is my dragon Periwinkle by the way, I’m sorry again. She is not mean, honest. Just protective.”

Ellie cocked her head to one side, looking a touch confused by such an answer, "Ahh... eh? Yes, I suppose it is." What a strange little dragon she thought to herself, giving a thoughtful, humming sound before shrugging and looked over at her boy, giving him a smile as he talked with his friend. This was one that she had never met before but the pair seemed to know and like each other, that was a good sign she thought to herself. It was always nice when he met up with his friends and got to have fun with them. Behind the Silver her tail set to swish from side to side in a happy manner, her silver eyes glittering in delight.

Valens looked at Ellie for a moment before his attention went back to Taren, he starred at his friend for a moment as he took a step forward before he did what he always did when given such an opportunity with a friend, he scooped him up for a hug, "It has been to long, it's nice to see you again! Wow, you got bigger, huh? And check out those claws, how cool are you?" He asked, finding the other boy's hands to be more then a little bit fascinating! He bet having something like that much be fun for sure!

There was a soft groan from Ellie and she cleared her throat, "Valens." She said, her tone catching his attention before he seemed to register what she was trying to remind him. That even if he could pick anything up due to his natural strength that he really shouldn't. Oops.

"Ah! Hahaha. Sorry about that! Sometimes I forget that I should pick just anyone or anything up off the ground." He said, putting Taren back on on his feet, a touch of a flush on his cheeks as he did so. Oops, he really did need to stop doing that... or at least ask before he went scooping people up but was both strong as well as overly friendly, those two things combined led to incidents like this and that led to Ellie reminding him what he should and shouldn't do when it came to friends. Not that he was likely to remember and would likely pick up whoever he met with next as well...

Whatever Taren had been expecting from his old friend, it wasn’t the surprise hug. He let out a squeak as his feet left the ground and he awkwardly flailed a little before locking his claws around Valens shoulders to steady himself. His face heated rapidly and he was sure his blush was showing up through the fur on his cheeks. It wasn’t helped by the compliments that Valens started throwing at him. The mole boy almost swooned with pleasure at being called ‘big’ and ‘cool’ in the same breath. Or near enough.

He attempted to say something back but all that came out was a squeak as the air was compressed out of his lungs by Valens enthusiastic affections. When he was at last returned to the ground he staggered back a step before he could recover. The blood of his body was still rushing to his face. But he was smiling, slightly dazed mind you but he didn’t hold that against his friend. “umm, its okay. I…I liked it.” He gasped letting out a noise half way between a hiccup and a laugh. “And I’m not half as big as you are now Valens.” He added. “Or strong.” He paused as he felt Perwinkle nudge him gently from behind he hadn’t noticed she had moved so close. It was her way of asking if he was okay. Taren smiled and used his claws to scratch against the dragons scales. He was okay.

Taren hadn’t noticed but when he had first been scoped up by the horse boy wink had almost struck at Valens. Her body had risen up like a snake. Luckily for Valens a direct attack had been delayed until she figured out that no harm was being done to her boy by the fact that his body had been blocked and protected by Taren’s. She was by nature a constrictor and for her when Taren was held in such a tight embrace her instincts told her it only meant one thing. Getting used to the strange habits of these warm blooded creatures was proving more challenging than expected.

Once she was assured of Taren’s safety and well being with a quick poke and sniff test she settled again and caught Ellie in her sights again. Unique boy you have there, he is very lucky to have his strength.” Her tone implied she didn’t think he had anything else going for him. Poor Ellie, it was just her misfortune to come across a uncrowned queen of passive aggressive dragons.

Valens relaxed when Taren said that he'd liked it, "See, it's fine Ellie." He told his dragon before turning back to Taren, "She worries far to much." Always trying to teach him manners and stuff, wanting for him to be a well behaved young man when he would much rather but himself, "Eh? Oh yeah, I seemed to be a bit of a giant. I haven't really met anyone before my same size other then maybe the dragon." Everyone else that he'd met so far always seemed to be a lot shorter then he was. It didn't bother Valens though since that only meant that he was better able to scoop them up off the ground no matter who or what they were. He just hoped that he never picked up the wrong person since they would easily be able to bit, scratch, and kick at him since he would have them quite close to him. If that ever happened he was sure that Ellie would probably tell him 'I told you so' instead of feeling bad for him.

With a thoughtful look on is his face Valens lifted a hand to wave it over his head before giving a bit of a chuckle, "I measured myself at over six feet last once, though that was some time ago... I wonder how tall I might be now. I think it's because my DNA is that of a draft horse which I hear are quite huge! I haven't gotten to meet one yet which is a shame." It was on his list of things to do, maybe they had them at the zoo or something, that would be cool.

Ellie watched the pair of boys closely before giving a sigh of relief when it seemed that everyone was alright. She really wished that Valens would think before he acted, it really would keep him from getting into trouble she thought to herself before looking over at the dragon that seemed to dislike her boy. Really she couldn't be to mad at the Lindworm given the first impression that Valens was giving but still, that she thought he was only a brute was a touch bothersome when Ellie knew her boy was quite sweet as well... he just wasn't terribly bright was all, "Strength is but one of Valens's features." She said, keeping her tone friendly, there were few in the world that she would really ever allow herself to be baited by and that was likely a Red because of the long standing feud between the Silvers and the Reds, something that Ellie had been lucky enough to avoid thus far have never met one.
