Both band members have been requested to take residence on the opposite side of the stage, the stage itself being only a few bodylengths of width apart.
"ALL RIGHT BOTH BAND MEMBERS. It is your goal to ROCK EACH OTHERS WORLDS OUT. Show us what you got, and make your moves! The band left standing is the WINNER and will go the semi-finals!" OOC RULES- EACH BAND MEMBER MUST MAKE A POST WITHIN 24 HOURS UNTIL THE EVENT IS OVER - Failure for a member to make a post within 24 hours of each "battle turn" will result in them forfeiting their turn - IF YOU HAVE A GNOME as a member you may roll for them! - Please CLEARLY FOLLOW THE HOW TO BATTLE RULES below to see how this works! - The team that goes to 0 HP first loses! The other team will progress to the semi-finals (this is a rather joking event so please don't take this TOO seriously if you lose ) - DONT FORGET TO CHECK THE OLD CRYPT ROCKOUT for your TEAM's HP VALUES - This battle is TEAM VERSUS TEAM, with each member posting individually with their attack HOW TO BATTLE exclaim THIS IS A TEAM TURN BASED BATTLE exclaim 1) EACH TEAM MEMBER OF THE TEAM MUST MAKE A POST DEPENDING ON THEIR ROLE. Please read further to see what kind of post you will be making with what "weapon": THE SINGER SKELLYPHONE: Yell into the skellyphone and send out a blast of sound! ACTION POST: ROLL 2 6-sided dice. Subtract 6 from your amount. For example: I roll a 5 and a 6. 5+6= 11. 11-6 = 5. I do 5 damage THE GUITARIST GUITAR: Run into the air and BASH your opponent (icly choose any one from the opposing team) with your GUITAR! ACTION POST: ROLL 2 6-sided dice. Subtract 4 from your amount. If your result is 0 OR negative, your guitar breaks instead, and you will have to spend the rest of your battle on the sidelines cheering on your teammates. For example: I roll a 4 and a 2. 6(my total damage) -4 = I do 2 damageExample 2: I roll a 2 and a 2. 4(my total damage) -4 =0. My guitar breaks THE DRUMMER DRUM SET: Throw your drumsticks at your opponent (and if you run out of sticks start with the cymbals...) They are known to rebound though... ACTION POST: ROLL 2 8-sided dice. The first roll is the damage you do to your opponent, the second is the damage you do to your own team. For example: I roll a 7 and a 2. I do 7 damage to my opponent and 2 damage to myself. 2) AFTER YOU ROLL your action post, make sure to EDIT in that post with a proper rollplayed action! For example: I AM A DRUMMER. I rolled a 7 and a 8. I can now rp doing the damage and possibly hitting myself with a drumstick or something from taking the damage. EXAMPLE OF ANY TEAM MEMBER POST **ROLL YOUR FREAKING DICE FIRST DEPENDING ON YOUR ROLL*** Let's say for this example, Bob is a DRUMMER and rolled a 8 and a 7. (this is edited in later AFTER your roll and damage tally!) Bob smashes his opponent, Joe, hard with the cymbals but hits himself! Bob's damage to HIS OPPONENT'S TEAM: 8 damage! Bob's TEAM'S TOTAL HP: (Please check the most RECENT post regarding your team's HP and tally in the result of yours). 42 - 7 = 35 HP 3) MAKE SURE TO CHECK THE ABOVE POST to make sure that you have subtracted ALL the opponent's damage done to your team's TOTAL HP. All groups must attack in threesExample: ** TEAM A'S TURN ** Team A band member 1 attacks Team A band member 2 attacks Team A band member 3 attacks! ** TEAM A'S TURN IS NOW OVER** **TEAM B'S TURN** Team B band member 1 attacks Team B band member 2 attacks Team B band mbmer 3 attacks ** TEAM B'S TURN IS NOW OVER** ** TEAM A'S TURN ** Team A band member 1 attacks Team A band member 2 attacks Team A band member 3 attacks! ** TEAM A'S TURN IS NOW OVER** If a member does not attack in their turn allottment in 24 hours, a mod will come in and force a skipped turn for that sole player. Otherwise simply continue battling in TURN like this until one of you 'drops dead' 8D. For the band who 'faints' please dont' forget to make a defeat post! YAY!

If looks could kill, that dude in the sequins might have keeled over dead (if he wasn't undead already, of course.) Squinting his eyes until they were mere slits of what they had been before, the skinwalker's entire body tensed as he stared at the apparent 'host,' clearly trying not to say or do something that might get him and his team disqualified (including tearing every single one of those stupid jack-damned sequins off his suit and potentially eating them. Not that they'd taste good.) You see, he had this rule about things that sparkled like that. It just. Shouldn't. Happen. And if it did, it had to be destroyed. Usually in the most painful or humiliating way he could think of at the time. There had been this one time, with this vampire.... yeah, that hadn't ended well. It was HALLOWEEN TOWN -- scary things DID NOT SPARKLE. The exception to this rule was girls. Girls could wear sparkly shite. But he still didn't suffer them well. Besides, he had very sensitive eyes. Things of that nature just made him cranky in general.
It was because of this that the skinwalker ultimately turned to glance at his other teammates, looking between them for a few seconds and leaning in to whisper a few things, one slightly-clawed hand reaching up to cover the spikerophone he still held, obviously consulting with them while the dude blathered on. That or he was making fun of him. Or the entire event. Which was just as possible. It was only until the words "two-team battle" that Nuk's head swiveled back around, eyebrows lifting just as the corners of his lips curled into a devilish smirk, clearly pleased by where this was going.
Battle?
Hell yes. This was more like it!
Swinging the spikerophone around by it's cord once more, Nukpana turned to face the other team, tossing it up and catching it in one palm and bringing it close to his mouth, taking in a deep breath to yell into it.
"READY OR NOT, HERE WE COME!"

Deacon really had little interest in the weird guy in even weirder clothes, and he was pretty damn sure he'd like to catch that Slimin' Cower out back after this s**t was over with so that he could put a few bruises on that smug face of his. The only thing that drew him out of this thought - aside from Nuk trying to brief them on something he only heard half of - was finding out that this was to be a literal battle.
By God he was going to get to hurt someone.
That certainly lifted his spirits, to say the least. After standing back in wait of their lead's attack, Deacon closed the distance between he and one of the opponents' band members with his guitar held very much like one might hold the hilt of a sword if they wished to cleave someone open from groin to chin. He ran full speed at Morton and swung the 'weapon' upward with as much force as he could muster.
Direct hit! For a brief second, Deacon was ready to strike some sort of arrogant victory pose as soon as he recovered from the swing. Though, much to his horror, he discovered that trying to beat a being without flesh to bruise or at least provide cushion with an instrument constructed of thin wood was a really terrible plan. The guitar splintered into countless pieces that showered in all directions on the stage. What remained of the neck was let go to fly off in a rage as Deacon immediately turned on his heels and marched loudly back to their side of the stage, leaving a string of screamed curses in his wake that could make a sea serpent blush.

Judith didn't want to throw her sticks. Seriously. They were a perfectly good pair of sticks. Why couldn't they just like, duke it out? She was so much better with her fists and feet -- fighting any way otherwise was kind of a total buzz-kill. The monster pouted in Nuk's general direction as if she was looking for some confirmation for some imminent rule-breakage from her Fearless Leader.
Instead she got a stupid cat breaking his stupid guitar and she suddenly had no qualms about chucking her sticks, so long as she could hurl them at the back of Deacon's stupid cat-head.
She wound her arm back and let 'em rip (but in the right direction -- if she smacked herself in the face doing so, no one was gonna notice!)!

Julian listened to the explanation of this next part of the competition and glanced over at the band they would literally be battling. They were quite an intimidating bunch, especially their singer. They were allowed to go first and he had to cover his ears at the sound the skinwalker made. His hearing was very sensitive, after all!
Sadly, when he tried to retaliate, only a small, intimidated squeak came out, and he didn't even have the skellyphone near his mouth.

Thankfully for Deacon, when he combined his smashed guitar with another one, it made an amazing weapon, though it took a while to get together.
exclaim GM ACTION POST Deacon MUST rp one turn with no attacks, but the turn following, can continue attacking with his new "repaired" guitar (aka: he will skip out on one of his team member's turns by simply roleplaying and not rolling)

Coralie had been waiting, prepared to start in on an actual song, when the preconception was disrupted. Both her brows raised at the explanation. A real battle, hu? Well that certainly was...different. She clicked her tongue, but aside from that her annoyance was only shown through her narrowed eyes. She kept her smile, even if it was a bit crooked. "Alright then, lets see what we got." She widened her stance a little, holding her guitar well...the way you weren't supposed to hold it if you were actually playing.
The cry from the other band's lead vocalist made her duck her head, cringing as it assaulted her ears. When she recovered, she saw the other attacks that had fallen too. Seeing how the other band's guitarist had somehow managed to break his instrument and...power it up oddly enough to still leave him with one or some crap, she frowned. Bitter looks really weren't her usual and having one now it was extremely chilly.
Did she mention she not only was terrible at physical combat, but also hated it?
"Well, aren't you lucky!" Coralie said as she swung her guitar at Deacon. She hit something, apparently, because the instrument vibrated in her grasp. She took a step back to keep her balance. "Hu, well what do you know?" The swing seemed to have taken some of the tension. Some of it anyway.

((Edited: Because Daffu is an Idiot and did not notice Morton had been hit by the guitar - DUUUR - rectified and added it!. This is why I should not attempt to post/red early in the morning. ))
--
The idea of a battle brought forth a grin on Morton's features. He could handle a rock-out-fest-of-a-fight! In fact, if anything, it sounded horribly entertaining. Sadly though, things were not going as well as they could have been; Julian didn't seem to particularly like the idea, and his first attack, well, couldn't even have been called an attack.
The gargoyle winced a bit at the small squeak the demon gave off, "Come on, guys! We can do better than this!" he didn't sound particularly upset, or even all that fussed though, "Let's just have fun with it. If we go down, let's go down with a blast!" this was, after all, a game of sorts, and if one didn't have fun with it, well, where was the point?
That said, he twirled the drumsticks in one hand and then aimed them at one of the members of the other band before throwing them; one of the sticks did manage to hit it's target, however... the second one veered off-course. It ended up hitting the other band's drums. His gaze followed the stick and it was due to this that he could do nothing to dodge the guittar that came slamming over his head.
Morton blinked briefly, unharmed due to the fact his horns had absorbed the damage (and had also managed to break the guitar in the process), "Uhhhh..." it was right about then that the drumsticks bounced right off drums and smacked Morton's arm before he manage to grasp it again. He looked mildly annoyed for a moment, but then the other stick was bouncing back and the Gargoyle lifted his free hand, grabbing it without further punishment to his person.

Needless to say, Nuk was feeling pretty smug as the sound waves caused everyone on the other side of the stage to wince in pain, tossing the spikerophone back and forth between two palms. Yeah, that was just how the rolled. His smirk was only amplified when Judith threw her sticks, lobbing some poor sap in the head. But it was not until Deacon sprinted forward, guitar wielded like an ax (pun intended) that he really started cackling, watching as the cat-boy smashed it against the skeletal gargoyle, causing it to shatter into a million pieces.
"BAHAHA, way to go Deacon, you broke it!" he shouted away from the spikerophone, cupping his hand over his mouth.
Unfortunately for him, it was because of this diversion of attention that he didn't notice the pair of enemy sticks that were flying his way, thwapping him hard in the side of the head.
"OW!"
Spinning around, free hand rubbing his head, Nuk watched the drumsticks return to their owner, his eyes flashing at the enemy drummer as he snarled at them, fist tightening around the 'weapon' in his hand.
"Why I aughta...!!!!"
Looking about ready to start a brawl (in fact, all of Dirty Homicide looked about at that point 90% of the time,) the skinwalker wound back his arm and haphazardly took aim at the other drummer, chucking the spikerophone at him in response.
What he didn't realize (until it was too late, of course) was that he could have done a lot more damage if he'd just screamed into the thing instead of lobbing it across the stage.

Watching Judith as she attacked, he followed the flight of her drumsticks with his gaze. The scowl on his face turned to a curious - if not slightly mischevious - look when he noticed that for some reason or another there was another guitar lying nearby unclaimed. Most of it, anyway... He rose from his moping spot and dashed out to grab up the 'new' guitar and what he could salvage of his own in order to make the two of them one so that he could join back into the fight.
Though, not before he ended up getting a whack in the backside with Coralie's guitar. Spewing out a startled curse after a yelp of pain, he retreated to the side once more to swiftly cram the guitar pieces together for the next round on their side.
He knew who his new target was going to be, too... Aside from Nuk, who he'd probably punch later for laughing at him in his moment of failure.

Judith didn't feel like chasing after her sticks -- not now, anyway -- so she ripped the brass hat from its stand and hurled it like a discus. Ancient Greece would be proud. 'Cept, you know, who'da thought it'd ricochet and bean her in the head?

Julian swallowed, knowing Morton was right, they needed to do better than this. He flinched to one side when the cat boil's guitar smashed on Morton's head, dancing a few paces away, his wings pulling him a couple of inches off the floor for a moment. All in all, this was not what he had signed on for. He thought the worst thing he would be doing was singing in front of other people. He didn't think he would have to actually fight another band.
But as the pink-haired drummer's sticks flew across the stage and their guitarist found a new instrument, something click inside him. Sure, he was fine losing to other students. But he wasn't about to let Coralie and Morton down, not because he wasn't pulling his own weight.
"Try this on for size!" he yelled into the skellyphone, sending a wave of sound at the other team.

Quote: OOC: If you're team is waiting on the other team to post, and their member(s) have exceeded the 24 hour post limit, they've lost their turn, and you may then post. Due to the nature of the current delay, please consider the 24 hour limit to be reset with Julian's post. Zoo note: both bands have a duration of 24 hours from the start of the first person posting in their team ticking onwards, DR members still have within that timeframe to post.
