Derecho had no idea when Terreis would return, she had gone North to Antianeira and they hadn't spoken much before hand, he knew why she was going and she knew that he didn't agree with it. What was the point of discussing it further? In any case he was sure that the white pup had already been tainted and regardless of staying or leaving the damage had already been done.

He'd caught some of the looks she gave her adoptive bothers, over heard a few of the comments she'd made and the words that he heard her saying were well in line with what he knew the other pack preached. Terreis might think that she was keeping her lessons secret but Derecho was not a stupid wolf.

Regardless of all of this he missed Terreis while she was gone - as he always did - and so when trotting along towards the river and picking up her scent on the breeze he picked up the pace catching sight of her spotted hide along the shore. "Terreis!, your home" He greeted her warmly as he skid to a stop beside her, even venturing a rare how of affection by running his muzzle along the top of her back.

He picked up on her tension almost at once and mentally steeled himself for whatever conversation she was eventually going to bring up. Or perhaps he should just make her tell him now - dragging out whatever it was would just make things worse, that he knew firsthand. "Right back at you" He responded, nipping at her nose after she nuzzled him.

"Something is bothering you" He remarked, deciding not to beat around the bush about it "Did your visit not go well?" He questioned, lowering himself to sit beside her and turning his eyes to the water while awaiting her response, he wasn't sure what it was - but he was pretty sure that it would be something he wouldn't like - unless...perhaps they had refused to allow Gwen to go and study with the sisters? If that were the case he told himself he would be supportive and concerned..and save all his celebrating for later hen he was alone.

Derecho had yet to meet this Varia character and by all accounts that was likely something he should be thankful for, but even without meeting her and having only the accounts of Terreis to go on he had to agree that she hardly seemed like the mothering type. Of course that had been pointed out to him about Terreis from a few others too, this was likely not something he should ever tell her however.

"Surprising, from hat you've told me she didn't sound like a wolf who would ever want puppies" He mused for a few moments before it suddenly hit him. Terreis wasn't upset because she was worried about Varia's children, she was jealous because her sister had a daughter while she didn't. He managed to keep himself from sighing and merely kept looking at the water for a few moments while he tried to think of something to say. "You have Guinevere" He finally pointed out in hope of cheering her up, surely the Albino pup counted for something.

Derecho did not want to fight with Terreis - he was growing more and more weary of the arguments they were having, they were always about the same things and tended to change very little on both sides. He was pretty sure most of them were completely pointless by this time and took a deep breath to keep from starting one of them all over again.

But even though he didn't want to fight with her about it he couldn't help the nervous twitches had had started to plague him whenever they were brought up, shifting his weight from foot to foot as he scrambled for a way to answer her that wouldn't make her upset "I..I guess she would" He told her - though he didn't think Aleu would put quite as much stock in it as Terreis did.

Derecho's mouth went dry, seriously? really? was he on the verge of a panic attack because his mate..his mate..not some long lot fling or illegitimate girlfriend but his mate, the one wolf in the world he was supposed to have these sort of conversations with and not feel bad about it had eluded to the fact that she wanted to have more puppies?

Oh the first time had been exciting..but mostly because it had been accidental and he hasn't known or thought through the consequences of his action at the time. But now he knew and this would be..planned, he'd spend the next few months dreading the pups birth for fear that there would only be boys again and that Terreis really would leave him if that happened again...or that there would be girls and they'd grow up to hate him.

Oh yes Dercho's inner voice was screaming at him like the wind in a summer thunderstorm. He should run away, play dumb,just..fall over dead. Pretty much anything but utter the words his mouth was forming without actually meaning to form them "I suppose that we could"

You stupid dumb dog. But...how could he not give Terreis what she wanted. He loved her. You fool.

Derecho wished he could withdraw his statement almost as soon as it left his mouth, tell her he didn't think it was a good time right now - their sons were just teens and still had allot of nurturing before them..but he'd gone and practically agreed now and he couldn't take it back without either seeming like a complete a** or confessing his fears. Neither of which seemed like very good options.

Her little bop to his nose broke him free of such thoughts and he shook his head slightly and focused on her question. "They we're good, growing as always and starting to think about what they might want to do in life I think" Not that he was in any hurry to rush them along - Derecho would be sad when some of his sons - and he was sure at least some of them would - went out into the world beyond the pack.

Derecho gave Terreis a warm look as he licked his cheek - it was nice to know she didn't expect them to start trying right this very second because he didn't really think his nerves over the whole situation would have done credit to that idea.

"They will do well I think" He told her, and he did believe it, Tantalus might be a touch canky and Apollo would likely always be more truthful then was good for him..and Corinth would perhaps always be a bit nervous, Iolaus might always be a sidekick rather then his own wolf and Balios would aways be sticking his nose into situations that didn't include him - but all in all he thought they'd grow up to be just fine.

"My father used to love the water's" He told her as she commented on the river and it's claming influence "Mother says he used to spend allot of time laying on the river bank and enjoying it's influence"
